I had not been in this location for a long time and I really loved it! Went for a quick lunch with the hubby and we were surprised with the menu, how rustic and unique the place looks and also the service was really nice, friendly and fast! Oh my goodness!!! Came here for an early dinner and we were greeted very kindly. They seated us right away. Very very small and quaint little place. But the food and service were top notch! My hubby ordered the lasagna and it was huge and so flavorful! It tasted like home made! Just perfectly done! I had the soup of the day which was lentil soup...another winner! Very tasty! Small little quaint restaurant in Doral. They service was good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was great! I had a penne in a creamy meat sauce (bolognese) and it was delicious. My husband had the chicken parm, he did not particularly enjoy it as it was on the more crispier/burnt side. Flavoring wise it was good. The food came out fast. With your dinner you're given fresh bread. They didn't have any available during our wait time however we did get out bread after the dinner. I think it was my favorite part of my whole meal. I was a bit skeptical when I first walk into this small neighborhood restaurant, but it all went out the door as soon as we sat down. The service is excellent, and we were made to feel at home right away. The food selection is a bit limited, but everything we tried was fresh and exceptionally flavorful. They were out of 2 of the wines we ordered as well as one of the entrees. I highly recommend the truffle fries, which were so darn good. That said, I tried the special which was carbonara jemeli guanchale (cheek meat). This was so tasty! The meat was so savory and the noodles just right. I sampled some San Pellegrino from the drink refrigerator. They do not offer any fruit juices, but they have plenty of drink choices including domestic and imported bottled beer. I came here for the paninis, so I was a little disappointed that they didn't have paninis anymore. My boyfriend and I got sandwiches instead and I wasn't a huge fan of my veggie sandwich. I expected at least the eggplant inside to be warm, but it was stone cold. My boyfriend got a chicken sandwich and he liked it. But let me tell you. The tiramisu. Out of this world. It was so good! Place is a little hard to find as it is located in the older, smaller shopping plaza (there are two newer and bigger shopping plazas across the street) but the food is excellent. Real Italian food. Everything is absolutely delicious! Their focaccia literally melts in your mouth. Went with a large group so we got to try several items including pizza, lasagna, pear fiochetti, and the del Bosco salad. Asked him to add some gluten free options to the menu (so i can bring the rest of my family back) and he welcomed the suggestions. The vibe and decor was cool and welcoming. While waiting for my order I saw another patron eating a salad with steak that looked yummy - I'll try that next! Panini itself did not appear to be pressed like most paninis do but that did not make for lack of taste. The bread was amazing. Fresh, crispy and flaky and delicious. The prosciutto and mozzarella were generous in amount. The sauce was amazing... a garlic aioli served on the side, I will have to ask for two next time... one was not enough! When I started a new job further west, one of the first food related things I did was look for Italian restaurants in the area. Capriccio was one of the first listed, and I have to agree that it's a great spot for an early dinner. I got there after 5 and it wasn't as crowded. Still, they were nice enough to wait while I lounged for a better part of an hour while I waited for a friend after making last second dinner plans. They even reheated my plate since I had ordered earlier. That's great service! Besides the regular menu, they have various daily specials which I ordered their caprese salad with a grilled chicken breast. There was a slight oopsie at the beginning since their salad is served with avocado (one the foods I'm OCD about) but my waitress promptly cleared that from my plate and all was good in the world. The salad itself is a generous portion, and I love the sweet balsamic vinegar. I did leave a little bit, which they packed with more vinegar for lunch today. I'd been fiending ravioli, and ordered their cheese ravioli plate with Bolognese meat sauce (my friend ordered hers with their vodka sauce). Hers also looked nicely presentable, and mine was delicious as well! Garnished with fresh basil, a tomato and parmesan pieces, these were about 4 soft pillows of pasta and a hearty beef ragu. We closed out with a cup of fluffy tiramisu with what tasted like a honey base. With the Italian music in the background, you can certainly enjoy an early dinner date here! read more

I must say this place was an awesome find and i owe my thanks to fellow yelper Suzanne P. After reading her review, I bookmarked it vowing to try it asap and i finally made my way over!!! At first, I thought what's the big deal...small unassuming spot in a shopping strip...meh. It was packed and I realized that I may likely end up taking my meal to go since tables were such a hot commodity. The idea turned me off but I figured since I made the trek I might as well suffer the consequences. Its a little confusing since you must order at the counter and sometimes the line seems to take on its own life so there seems to be a little bit of a huh??? moment. We ordered and were ready to pay and I immediately take note of an available table to snag...it was the only one. We sat and shortly after (about 5 min in) were asked to move to a smaller corner table that became available in order to give up our table to a larger group that came after. This small sacrifice was not an issue to me only because I understood the need and felt it was a reasonable request. The lady waiting on the tables somewhat manages the area and tries to accommodate. This is all great when everyone is considerate and polite but I noticed two girls walk in and save a table prior to ordering which is obviously not following the "first come first served" rule and although it caused a tiff between another lunchgoer it seemed to go unnoticed by the staff which is why I'm knocking off a star...she seemed embarassed to address it. Tries this place again last night after UM graduation. An incredibly disappointing experience and will not give them another chance. Things started out great but took over 2 hours to be served dinner. Waiter kept saying it was because the place was busy but it wasn't. For the 45 minutes prior to being served, most of the tables that I could see were empty. When food arrived, it was disappointing and in most cases lacked flavor. We ordered lunch to be delivered - 2 "chicken" caprese salads. it looked great at first glance, but I say "chicken" because what we received were rubbery chicken-like pieces of something. They were terrible. The mozzarella lacked flavor so we ended up basically paying $16.50 each for tomatoes and avocado. This restaurant has great reviews, so it makes me wonder if anyone has ever had chicken here?! My boss and I were not only disappointed, we were a bit disgusted at this chicken. Both a deli and sit-down restaurant, Capriccio makes a mean Italian panini. The ambiance is casual and the servers behind the counter are quick to help. There was practically zero wait and I was able to order/pay at the counter all in one fell swoop. The staff members helping me were able to multitask preparing my food and holding a pleasant conversation. The Capri panini comes with all the classics: prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, tomato, and fresh basil. Made with fresh ingredients inside, the bread is soft and lightly toasted. The sandwich also comes with a herbaceous garlic alioli on the side. The cuts of mozzarella are so thick and sublime that now I want to go back and try their other panini, the Quattro Formaggi, that comes with four different types of fresh cheeses. read more

Had the prosciutto pizza tonight and I must say I was disappointed. The crust was thin, which I like a thin crust but everything else just says cheap cheap cheap. This pizza really only has three toppings. Tomato sauce, which it looks like they spray painted on there. Cheese, just enough to barely cover the crust and prosciutto, one slice every two slices of pizza. Man I feel I got ripped off. Oh and I ordered and waited at the restaurant and got a like warm pizza. I don't think I'll ever come back here again. read more
