This is a small hole in the wall type Italian restaurant. I really didn't expect much tbh. I've come here twice now for lunch. Both times I got the mushroom pasta. First time I did with ravioli, second time with gnocchi. The mushroom cream sauce is really yummy, but a bit in the salty side. I found that both the ravioli and gnocchi were under cooked a bit too. The ravioli had hard dry edges and the gnocchi were still too doughy for my taste. My brother, who I came with, got the gnocchi both times. He likes them doughy. My biggest reason for dropping a star though is due to the wait. They are very slow. And not due to being short staffed as you can see several staff members standing around the kitchen. The first time it took almost 30 minutes just to get our food! Second time we ordered ahead on Yelp and still waited 10/15 minutes after the order pickup time. We ended up also ordering a Nutella pizza when we were there. We used the tablet for easy ordering, however the order never even went through. So when we finished eating we asked about the pizza and they didn't have any clue since the order didn't process. So the staff put the order through and we waited for the pizza for at least another 30 minutes! I would come again, but only if I have plenty of time to spare.

We happened upon Pizzillo while in Miami with an overnight layover. We ordered ceasar salads and the Cotto e Funghi. Both were 5 star fabulous. We loved the ambiance and the service as well. And, the prices were affordable! We will definitely be back!

I honestly like this place because it's open until 12 am, which ultimately makes it the best 11 pm meal option ( as opposed to fast food chains) It's a small little pizza place with a few tables outside for seating but it's best for take out, which is what I did. I got the Caesar salad and the Nonna's Garden pizza. (They had the 12" and the 16") I got the 12", it's not very filling without the salad. The pizza was absolutely incredible!! The veggies on it were fried before used as pizza toppings and it made the pizza taste even better! The crust is super thin and the pizza is perfectly crispy and delicious! I loved it! The salad was good but wayyy too salty. I actually couldn't get through a bite without drinking water afterwards. I think what happened was the Caesar sauce had salt, the vegetables had salt and they put salt on top of that! So it was too salty to handle. Even my mom who puts an absurd amount of salt on absolutely everything tried it and her first comment was "it's so salty!" I didn't finish the salad, but the pizza I devoured! So maybe if you decide to get the Caesar salad, make sure to look out for that or tell them to hold back on salting it. If you like salt, trust me, salt it on your own! They had a little fridge with desserts and I saw a ricotta pistachio cheesecake that looked too good to not get. Oh my, it was absolutely delicious!! Definitelyyy going to be coming back here!! I recommend this place, especially if you want good food late at night but want to avoid places like BK and McD!

The food here is amazing! Made with love and the best ingredients. I got the chance to meet the chef and it was so wonderful to feel his passion for food, cooking, and his restaurant! We tried the Chef Gianca Pizza, the Pizzillo Pizza with burrata, and the Italiano Vero Panini, which won an Italian sandwich award at a pizza expo in Las Vegas. The Chef Gianca pizza was my favorite only because arugula is not my favorite, but even the pizza & the panini covered with arugula I loved because they add lemon & balsamic to make the arugula taste great! We also had the home made panna cotta with Passionfruit for dessert which was absolutely delicious! The chef also let me know they have half off pasta for lunch on Wednesdays, so I definitely want to come back for that and try some pasta! Highly recommend! Absolutely delicious food.

We heard that the two most popular options were the Pizzolla and the Gianca so we had to get half and half of both. The pizzolla has cured meat, arugula, and shaved farm for a fresh bite (and a good way to sneak in your greens). The gianca is their white sauce pizza and I would recommend it if you're a cheese lover (you're getting pizza, of course you are). I'm also personally a thin crust lover so I loved the thinner crust that didn't break upon holding a good amount of topping. I love this is a casual eatery with plenty of parking but with elevated options. I don't always want to wait the hour for essentially the same pizza in the Brickell area, so this was a good hidden find!

Got to my hotel at 10:30 pm was starving! Thanks to Yelp, found a great pizzeria across the street that was still open! Just had basic cheese and pepperoni but it was awesome! Wish I would have tried one of the specialty pizzas! If you4 in the area, got to try it. They have a very extensive menu for a small place. Couple tables inside and outside. Highly recommended !

Food - got a 1/2 Nonna's Garden, 1/2 caprese 16" and a 12" pizzillo pizza for 3 people and had plenty of leftovers. I really enjoyed the caprese. The Nonna's Garden had a little too much corn for my taste, and in comparison to the caprese, was less flavorful. My friends really enjoyed the pizzillo and were happy by the plentiful prosciutto. Service - the woman working the counter/serving was helpful and friendly. Atmosphere - only 2 or 3 tables inside and a couple outside. Definitely more of a pick up and take out kinda place. Also there was a local drunk/homeless vagabond type guy who kept coming up to us and another set of customers dining outside. The workers and owner and another security type guard for the building complex kept shooing him away but he came back several times. Didn't seem dangerous but was not the most welcoming or comfortable environment. I would order for takeout next time.

I don't know about you but I had a fantastic meal at Pizzillo Pizza. Actually, I had it delivered because I had last minute guest coming over and they were able to accommodate my last minute order. Everything on the menu was delicious and I absolutely need to come back to try the rest of the menu. This place is the real deal! ++Burrata Salad - a refreshing burrata salad with fresh lemon, arugula, prosciutto, olive oil and balsamic reduction. Two can share this salad. Yummy. ++Pasqualina Pizza - My favorite dish/pizza! OMG it was simple, caramelized onions and parmesan cheese. That's it...so much flavor in the simple pie. I ordered a small where 2-3 people can share. ++Panza Piena Calzone - Huge calzone stuffed with sweet Italian sausage, pepperoni, ham, bacon, Bolognese sauce and mozzarella. Meat lovers dream for sure! My guest loved the meal and their favorite was the Pasqualina Pizza as well. The menu has many things to chose from: homemade pastas, paninis, sandwich's, desserts and yummy appetizers and are reasonably priced.

Had a lovely experience at Pizzillo last night! The place was busy when we got there which was good to see, always happy to see a restaurant doing well. We loved the market style, fast casual environment - you pick your items and pay at the front then they will bring it to you. The decor on the walls was very cute, Italian signs and quotes. The menu is very diverse and has a variety of items. Chef Giancarlo gave us some background on the place and the ingredients. He's very passionate about using high quality, fresh ingredients and it's great to see that! We went with the Burrata E Proscuitto Salad, Carbonara Pizza and Cannolis for dessert. As we waited there were more and more people coming in and ordering. The salad came out quickly and we dove in! Omgggg the presentation and taste was beautiful! The pesto on top of the burrata along with the balsamic just gave a burst of flavor when eating the burrata! I'm still thinking about that salad lol. The pizza was a thin crust, crispy crust and packed with flavor! It has 3 types of pork! 3 types people! Bacon, Guanciale & Ham. Wow and the cheese on top was incredible, you have to try it! The cannolis for dessert were the perfect finish. Light, not too sweet and delicious! Can't wait to go back!

Wong pizza, refused to give compensation for my order. They use door dash but don't tell you. Overpriced. Delivery fee was $7.50 not the $2.00 listed on this site but whatever. Average pizza at best. . No manager on duty? Liars. Would not recommend. Just use door dash and get better food, especially with the added fees. read more

I was craving some authentic Italian flavors in a delicious calzone. I was soooo impressed and delighted to order from Pizzillo Pizza Pasta. I ordered 1 of each of their 4 calzones. I can say that each one was delicious. My wife is vegetarian and she loved the fresh vegetables of the caponata. My 2 kids loved the calzone Nano and cotoletta which had delicious ham and chicken respectively. My favorite was the calzone Piena which had delicious flavored meats. The Chef / Owner, Giancarlo is extremely kind and takes tremendous enjoyment in his preparation and execution of the food. The sizes were huge and we look forward to coming back again soon! read more

Me and three friends were hungry for some italian food. So we came by to check out this new restaurant. From the moment we walked in we treated as family. We ordered the Papo Nonno, Chef Gianca, and Quattro Cheese. The sauces are home made fresh everyday. The pizza combinations are delicious and perfectly balanced as described on the menu. The crust was thin and crispy and and held the weight of the mounds of melted cheese. All this combined to make an incredible party in your mouth. That is substantially filling. We were so pleased with the food and service that we just had to have a picture with Chef Gianca who is responsible for all the delicious food we ate. I would highly recommend any discerning pizza connoisseur check out this place. read more

This review is long overdue, as we were there back in July, but life gets busy. My brother and I were in town for a week on business and were staying across the street. We were very fortunate to have discovered Pizzillo and from our first visit to our last, not only did we enjoy amazing food prepared by Chef Giancarlo, his mother, and his employees, but we were also treated like family from the moment we walked in. We stopped in three to four times during our visit and enjoyed the salads, pasta dishes, pizza, crepes, and one day even just stopped into have a beer and say hello. We witnessed the kitchen working hard during the busy times and had great conversations with Chef Giancarlo when the kitchen calmed down. Each visit was a nice relaxing experience reminiscent of our time spent in Europe, and we got to witness first hand Chef Giancarlo and his mothers passion for creating delicious food. We can't thank Giancarlo enough for the kindness he showed us and look forward to visiting again in the future. Skip the boring pizza chains and support this local family run spot, Pizzillo. My husband and I had a little date here. It was casual and just what we needed. The pasta was great. I had the fettuccini Alfredo with chicken and my husband had the bolognese. He is extremely picky but he loved the sauce!! The bread rolls were a perfect combination for both of our pastas. Portions were generous. I would recommend. read more

First time customer, I had high expectations however they missed the mark big time on the two items I ordered and for the price, definitely not worth it. I ordered the Baby - Pepperoni Pizza and the fried ravioli's with Mozzerella Cheese. Ill start with the pizza - about 7-8" round and It compares to store bought frozen pizza - there is nothing special at all about this pizza and the Fried Raviolli's well lets just say "what cheese?" This is NOT a Margherita pizza. This is barely an average thin crust blah pizza. It was delivered in the time slot, and the Caesar Salad was not bad, which is why I gave 2 stars. Added a pic of the order to verify I ordered a margherita pizza. read more

I heard about this restaurant through a coworker who had recently visited and had their pasta. He told me it was delicious and is made fresh in front of the customers. As a pasta lover myself, I had to give it a try. I ordered the Pomodoro. Taste just like an authentic Italian home cooked meal! The place itself offers a large window where you can see your food being made first hand. The restaurant has a cool vibe and is spotless. I had the chance to meet the owner, Abel. He happens to be a New York native, just like myself, who knows his Italian food! He was very helpful and informative in recommendations being that it was my first time. This is a small restaurant in a strip mall but has really good pizza and service. This was our first visit and we relied on reviews. We were not disappointed. We had a medium pepperoni pizza and it was in my opinion perfect. My husband likes a bit more pepperoni but I feel like as long as you get some pepperoni in each bite then it's enough. The dough was thin enough, just enough sauce, pepperoni was not greasy (I don't like to have to blot grease off my pizza) and the cheese was just enough and not too salty. Very friendly atmosphere. We also were offered two cannoli and they were also perfect. Some cannoli are overly sweetened but these were the perfect size (I've had them in Italy and these were slightly larger) and filled while we waited (some places fill them and they sit for days, not good). It's a tiny place but I suspect it won't stay that way for long. Thank you to the owner and the staff!! read more

Came after work for pizza with friends and OMG, this place has to be the closses you will find to Italy authentic homemade recipes, DELICIOUS. The service is wonderful, the chef is lovely and great customer service. We enjoyed the Ravioli Fritti, delicious!!! Garlic Bread Rolls, the bests I've had (homemade), caprese salad, delicious with homemade pesto sauce, the truffles fries and the lentel homemade minestrone soup, mind blowing!!! And this was only the beginning. We enjoyed the Hula Hula Pizza with Mikes Hot Honey.....you have to try this....you are welcome. The Chef Gianca Pizza is so rich and delicious. And the Lasagna, wow!!!! I'm drooling. All are homemade, the crust is so thin and delicious, just right. This place is a gem! lets now talk dessert, Delizia di Ricotta e Pera....EPIC and if you love passion fruit like I do, The Passion Fruit Tiramisu...its literally like eating a passion fruit. I will definitely be back and I recomend every one that loves Pizza and Italian food, this is the place to go. read more

The pizza at this place is good. We had the pizza Nonno which is the meat lovers pizza and the Gianca pizza. They were both fresh and hot. We were served in a timely manner as our pizzas took maybe 15 minutes or so from the time we placed the order. The people at this place were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the food and yes we will be back! read more

I decided to give this place a try since its new. Its location is in a plaza i frequently go to during lunch hour at work, like many other people do. This plaza isnt a place you casually go to eat on a sunday, but rather a place everyone looks for a quick fix during work lunch time. It took over 35min to get my food (a party of two) so i basically spent my lunch hour sitting and waiting to get my food. There was no one there when we got there other than another lady who was already eating. I had to change it to a "to go" order since i could no longer sit and eat my food there, but rather in the car on the way back to work. I wasnt offered anything to compensate for the wait, but did receive an apology. Flavor is good, but i would not recommend if you need something quick. Also my pasta looks like soup. read more

The quality and taste of the food is outstanding. The price is a bit high for its location. They are located in an older run down strip shopping center with very little room to sit inside or outside. Yet they are charging similar prices to comparable Italian restaurants located in much nicer areas of Doral. I recommend this place strictly for take out orders. read more

We were in the mood for Italian so I decided to pass by this new place, Pizzillo Pizza Pasta. When I arrived, I was greeted with a warm and exuberant welcome. As I looked at the menu, I let the employees know that it was my first time at the restaurant. The owner was there and graciously educated me about what Pizzilo is and how it came to be; it had been referred to as poor man's bread as a result of WWII. The pizza dough used by them is the owner's recipe! All their ingredients are fresh. Other members of the company are Italian and have a family history in Italy. I found it quite interesting. For my first day there, I took home some four cheese pizza, Gianca Pizza, and penne carbonara. I watched as my food was prepared. There was no skimping on ingredients. My pizza only took six minutes and my entire order was ready quickly. Everything I took home was delicious and devoured with constant comments of how good everything was. Out of the three meals I took, I can't exactly say which one was my ultimate favorite. They were all amazingly delicious!!! I would highly recommend Pizzillo. Delicious food with quality and fresh ingredients being prepared with love, smiles, and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Don't miss out on it. One try and you're hooked! read more

This is a great place to eat if you are staying at one of the hotels across the street. It is run by a family from Italy (met the son and mother) using family recipes. The pizza we ate had a thin crust, plenty of toppings, excellent flavor and was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend, reasonable pricing. read more

Ordered eggplant parmesan to go. Checked the bag, no pasta. Guy insists pasta doesn't come with it, even though it is on the PASTA menu! Asked for pasta anyway, which he made. Thank goodness, because the eggplant parmesan is inedible! Paper thin, and so rubbery I couldn't even chew it! Ugh, nauseous just remembering. Thank goodness I insisted on the pasta, that's all I could eat. Even the roll was burnt. Avoid like the plague. read more

FINALLY!!! REAL Italian New York style pizza!!! I work in the area and was handed a menu by an employee promoting, and I'm so glad I tried it! I ordered the Quattro cheese pizza. It's amazing, filling, and delicious! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable about their menu. The place looks like you're in the heart of a New York eatery. It's my new go-to spot! I definitely recommend this spot for a memorable and tasty meal. Best pizza in town!! We checked this place out because it was recommended by a friend. We all had a great time. Perfect NY style pizza, just how I like it. I am kind of a pizza snob, I can't stand 'fast food' pizza (Domino's, Papa John's, etc). It's fresh out of the oven NY style for me or nothing and the pizza we had here was top notch. We order pizza often and this place could easily be our new favorite, but unfortunately they are too for for us to be regulars. They need to open a location further south! read more

I have been to Pizzillo several times because the food is amazing! My favorite pizza are Pizzillo Chef Gianca and Nonna's Garden. I also love they have cauliflower crust! What I love the most are the dessert, Delizia di Ricotta & Pera is an amazing refreshing dessert homemade by la gonna.
