This is a fun bar in Doral, depending on the night you go and who you go with. Why you would ask, because it's typically an older crowd (40-50s). I would categorize Baru under a tourist trap, only because of how expensive your bill can be once you leave their establishment. First, they have a $20 cover after like 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Yes, you can use the credit. But in an specific way/order. So if you're a non drinker. You're screwed. Then, I came over with my friends last night for a bite and music. Ordered a picada, which is a delicious tray of potatoes or french fries and different meats. It was good. But $50 for a tray that would only feed 2. We thought it was a bit much. As they are usually bigger on most places. That wasn't the worst part. Before we left, we ordered water. That I'm pretty sure that is probably tap water. And the waiter said no, because we were no longer consuming. And I had already told her at least twice that we were going to be leaving early so she could sell her table eventually for a $300 bottle, which is what they were pushing for since we arrived ( at least twice). So in other words, unless you're in for a fun night with your friends and don't care to spend a pretty penny. Then be my guest. Otherwise, there are other bars in Mia where you will have a great time and pay a bit less. Specially for food. Drinks I get it's how bars make money. But don't overprice food just because... it's my thought

Came here to celebrate my mother in law's birthday. Over the phone they gave us a different price than when we were there. We were told the Buchanan bottles were $100 each and a free champagne bottle for the birthday person with a purchase of a bottle. However when we arrived they wanted to charge us more for a bottle. Luckily we spoke to the manager and we were given the phone price for the bottles so we went and bought three Buchanan's bottles. After a while we asked for the free champagne and our service girl was hesitant to give it to us because we already had a deal with the bottles. We reminded her that those prices were given to us over the phone before we arrived and we didn't buy just one bottle, we bought three! So she spoke to the manager and we were able to get the free champagne to toast midnight with the cake. Now the food, can you believe a picada was close to $50?!?! And I'm talking about a regular picada with fries and stuff. That price was ridiculously expensive!! We also ordered tequeños de plátano maduro and those were good. The price was about $12/$13 for 5. We ordered five mini arepas and in total for three dishes, we spent another $100 dollars. Too expensive if you ask me so grab something to eat before. The music was okay. We were the only ones inside so it felt like the party was only for us (a group of 12). Most of the customers were in the patio having drinks. However, because of that, it seemed like we were listening to a CD. I don't know who the merengue singer was but we heard his songs back to back. At one point we told the gentleman that would go to the DJ booth every now and then to please change it and it was much better after that. The staff was very nice and friendly. No complaints about them, they even let me take my cake and held it in the fridge until midnight. We gave them slices of cake at the end for them to also have.

Good food, great music and the most amazing service by my waiter STEPHANIE colombia girl from Cali, she is a doll and the best best waitress in this establishment.

The cover can be used to pay for drinks but taxes/tip must be paid in cash or credit

Tried this place for the first time on a Saturday night. We arrived after 11:00 PM and were told that the cover fee was $20 for each (men and women) which could be used to consume items at the bar except for the tips and taxes which had to be paid in cash or credit, we agreed to it because it sounds somewhat reasonable. After entering and spending more than 2 1/2 hours at the place I found the music to be not varied enough. Most of it consisted of 30+ years old merengue and salsa mixed with contemporaneous regueton and techno. I am neither young nor old but considered the music very dated. Having taken recent salsa and bachata classes I was excited to try my moves and approached the DJ to request a bachata song to which he said "no" and denied by waiving his head from side to side. I imagine they are targeting the Doral customers but I lived in Doral for over 12 years and consider the music of this place to be lacking a lot of what the intended audience of the area enjoys. Needless to say I will not be returning. EDITED: after posting I realized I did not mention other things. PARKING: plenty and free. RESTROOMS: WTH happened here?. SERVICE: it took a while to get the bartenders' attention but afterwards they took their time to explain the bill and how the consumable tickets worked.

I went to a happy hour with my work colleges on a Friday. When we arrived, there were not so many people because it was early but after 6:30 pm it started getting packed. We ordered a bandeja to share and I had the piña colada without alcohol since I don't drink, it was really good. They had live music, the lady singing had an amazing voice. They played very good music and we danced a lot. I recommend this place if you want to have a good time.

The bar itself didn't have seating, but the staff was really accommodating and rearranged some chairs and brought us a table so we could sit comfortably. The DJ was lit and set a great vibe. Drinks were good, we ordered spicy margaritas and they were strong and flavorful, though a bit pricey at around $25 each. Nasif 03-14-2025…read more We recently hosted an engagement party for about 50 guests at Layali Miami, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice for a special celebration. The restaurant offers a beautiful atmosphere that blends elegance with a lively Middle Eastern vibe, making it perfect for a memorable event. From the moment we started planning, the staff was extremely accommodating and professional. They were responsive, flexible with the setup, and helped organize the seating so our group felt comfortable while still enjoying the energy of the restaurant. For a group of around 50 people, the space worked very well and still felt intimate rather than crowded. The food was one of the highlights of the evening. Guests loved the variety of authentic Middle Eastern dishes, especially the fresh mezze, flavorful grilled meats, and delicious desserts. The presentation was excellent and the portions were generous, which made sharing and enjoying the meal together easy for a large group. The ambiance added a lot to the celebration. The music, lighting, and décor created a festive mood that felt perfect for an engagement party. Many guests commented on how unique and fun the environment was compared to a typical restaurant event. Overall, Layali Miami provided great service, delicious food, and a vibrant atmosphere that made the engagement party truly special. Eddie's, established in the early 70s, feels more like a career criminal who found religion, just got out, and now swears he's trying to get his life together. Would a true dive keep a decades-old black-and-white tube TV around so you can watch your car? Additional amenities include an ATM, a combination photo booth/jukebox, and even a cell phone charging station, which means Eddie somehow supports bad decisions and the evidence they leave behind. This isn't Eddie's Bistro or Eddie's Café, it's just his Place, so don't show up expecting anyone to cook for you. Aside from chips, the bar skips food altogether. Still, Eddie's plays to its strengths: it encourages you to bring your own food or order in, as long as you keep the bartenders busy. "Cocktails" arrive in ribbed plastic cups, but shots and beer arrive in proper glassware, which is this bar's version of caviar service. A free pool table anchors the room, while one corner hosts beer pong and another area for old-timers to throw darts. Drinks run from $6 to $12, and Happy Hour sweetens the deal with 2-for-1 wells until 8 p.m. That special feels a little sad Monday through Wednesday, when the bar opens at 7 PM. However, it absolutely slaps Thursday through Sunday, when doors open at 2 PM. I rolled in after The Mandalorian & Grogu, which is exactly the kind of demoralizing movie that demands a drink. It was Goth Night, although the DJ seemed to be the only person who got the memo. She kept the room moving with dark house and classic goth tracks, giving the Place the energy of a house party with a fog machine and a hit-heavy playlist. Eventually, she veered from Bauhaus and Combichrist into Bruno Mars and Calvin Harris, which felt less like genre betrayal and more like a Wedding DJ loosening their tie. Eddie's Place delivers the holy trinity of a proper neighborhood bar: cheap booze, zero pretension, and just enough chaos to make you stay for one last round over and over again.

The food was great and they had a small arcade. I figured this would be a great place to watch a game but never got to do it since I do not live close by. Forward to last weekend: there was a World Cup game that I wanted to watch and an errand to run at Dolphin Mall afterward. So I figured: what better place than Sports & Social? They required a cc deposit for reservations so I didn't make one. And also realized I didn't need to when I walked in. There is an outside watch area without service in the heat (no idea why anyone would watch it there and nobody did since it was empty). When I walked in, the host barely acknowledged me and kept chatting to someone else. We were told it's self seating but that I can't sit in a booth since we are only two people. I sat in one regardless and it wasn't a problem. Why would you tell a mom with a child to sit on a high top if there are other options available? Especially since there was a single man in booth next to me and a family of three on the other side next to me. Anyhow, my waitress was nice but service was so slow! I ordered a cheeseburger for my son and boneless wings for me. The food took a whole hour to come! They brought out the tiniest cheeseburger patty I've ever seen for my son. All the sauces I asked for were missing and I had to ask again for the side salad I ordered. Wings were supposed to be mild but way to too spicy. I didn't finish them. Asked a few times for unsweet tea but they didn't have any. Yes, the big screens are great but the TVs went out two times for a few minutes. They said it's because there's a cloud outside. Also, the arcade stuff was completely gone and under construction. Wanted to order desert but since everything took so long, I decided to order the check right before game end.
