As if I drive it home from the restaurant myself. I've never been disappointed eating here. Dine in is also available and the service inside is always welcoming. Gotta give them a try. The chauffa rice is the best I have ever tried. I only buy it from there. In general I believe is the best restaurant among all La granja.

So my younger brother recently moved close to the Hardrock, and we have been on the hunt for decent places close to him. This place totally fits the bill. I actually liked it enough that I intend to visit the location closer to me! The bottom line here is that you are paying really reasonable prices and getting large quantities of fresh food. It's very similar in pricing to Pollo Tropical, but I feel like you are getting more food! Service here was prompt and friendly. All of the side sauces they offered were tasty! I was working close by for a few days with an ex Broward County guy who loved La Granja and had great memories of it. He compared it to Pollo Tropical, which I happen to love. For me La Graja is not as good as Pollo, however they are in the same class and serve similar food. La Granja is a decent place for a lunch or dinner. I have a simple philosophy about food: for the most part I'll try anything once, because even if it turns out badly I'll be get to eat again in a few hours! That said, I'd driven by La Granja several times and, other than recognizing a Spanish name, knew nothing, but was curious. (And rather than coming here first, I finally just jumped in. After all, (see first statement.) First recommendation: Bone up on your Spanish, and read the menu here first, because it's big, and because at the counter it's on a computer screen that scrolls (I did say it's big) There's one plastic copy on the counter you can review as well, but if there's a line you are kinda expected to read fast, because it is fast food after all... Anyway, between me and the counter attendant I sorted out my options, and ordered the spicy garlic fish with shrimp. O. M. G. It was so delicious I had to slow myself down as I started gobbling it down. Mind you, it says "fish," and it's "fish," but her English seemed to fail when I asked what kind of fish...lol Didn't really matter though because the creamy garlic sauce was the star. The shrimp are small but numerous enough, and flavorful. The side salad, basic: lettuce, tomato and a LOT of onion. Fresh, nicely dressed, a good offset for the garlic. So, anyway, AFTER I ordered, and after I started eating, I learned here that La Granja is a Peruvian place. And an always good sign, most of the customers appear to be Latino, and I'm willing to bet, Peruvian. In closing then, good food, plentiful, reasonably priced. I'll be back! read more

I love getting deals, and a five dollar lunch that brings the protein is a great value for me. So, I headed over to La Granja to give their lunch deal a shot, and I am glad I did. I will be honest, I almost didn't go in. I arrived a few minutes before they opened, and no one was there. I thought I would do my usual swoop in and get out before the lunch crowd arrived, but alas, the crowd started arriving before they opened the doors. Next thing I knew, there were ten people practically pressing their noses against the glass. It kind of reminded me of the Walking Dead. I sat in my car for a moment to gather my thoughts. I squeezed my steering wheel and thought to myself, "Do I really want to go toe to toe with the lunch zombies? Can I do this today?" At that moment, someone opened the doors and they all filed inside. I could see through the glass that there was plenty of room, so I sat there for another couple minutes to give everyone a chance to order. Then I noticed more zombies showing up, so I stopped thinking and jumped out of my car and bolted for the door. I was taking no prisoners. I was going in, and I was going to get that five dollar lunch special, and I was going to get some sauce too. Oh yes, I was NOT going to let some lunch zombies steal my joy of a good deal. I got to the counter, and placed my order. I asked for the five dollar lunch special and the server knew exactly what I was asking for. He took my five dollars (and some change after tax) and handed me my receipt. Out of the corner of my eye, I spied the sauce station and made a break for it. By some miracle, no one was there. All of the zombies had found tables and were patiently waiting for their food. Well, some zombies were hovering near the cash register. I would not be deterred. I sampled the red sauce first. Wow, nice kick, but not today. I sampled the white sauce. Oh, garlicky-works for vampires, maybe zombies too? Hmmm...maybe? Then the green, Nope, reminds me of zombies too much, maybe next time. I filled a couple containers with the white sauce, and just as I was putting the lid on several lunch zombies began to hover near the sauce station. It was time for me to make a break back over to the counter area so I could retrieve my five dollar lunch special. Would I make it? As I approached the lunch counter, several zombies were lingering around. I was thinking that NOW would be a good time for them to call my number. Please call my number! Do it! Say it! "Number 9!" Please say the number! And then it happened. Number 9 was called and I swooped in and grabbed my five dollar lunch special and headed for the door. As I pulled away, I didn't notice any zombies in pursuit. I was safely on my way back to the cave, or well, office. When I made it to my desk, I opened my five dollar lunch special to find a nice piece of chicken. It was half a breast and a wing. "Wow," I thought. "White meat even?" Actually, I prefer the dark because it's juicier, but I was impressed that the deal came with white, which is normally more expensive. Plus, I had that sauce, and it worked great on the chicken. Also, I was able to get more protein in the white meat, so I was set. They had a huge cup of black beans and some white rice to eat with it. I love La Granja for a few reasons, but most notably the sauce!! Their sauces are the stuff dreams are made of. I used to eat La Granja about once a week, until I decided that that much rice in one sitting wasn't sitting well with me. I know lots of people who can make a La Granja meal in to two meals, but not me...once I start with those delicious sauces I just can't make myself stop. My go to meal is the steak with rice and beans, I sub out the plantains for fried yuca...and then smoother the whole plate in the white/yellow sauce and the green sauce. I believe the white/yellow is supposed to be a mild garlic sauce, and the green has hints of lime and garlic. I skip the spicy red sauce, but that one is good too. If you're looking for cheap, then stick to the 1/4 chicken with rice and beans, plantains and a soda for ~$5. If you're looking for authentic Peruvian flavors (think Chinese food mixed with Spanish food) try one of their mixed seafood rices. The only reason I don't get that dish often is because adding sauce really isn't necessary and I really do have a sauce obsession here. Take-out is the way to go here, and the fact that they added servers (inefficient servers) if you choose to eat in annoys me. read more

I usually come here for lunch, grab a quick bite and gone. Sometimes my husband and I will come for dinner. The service at this location has fallen far below acceptable!! I dread leaving a poor review, anyone can have a bad night or a few bad nights. But this has exceeded a few bad nights to become consistent derelict service and standards. The wait staff with exception of one, in my opinion, should all be dismissed immediately. They are sloppy, rude, on their cell phones, completely embarrassing behavior. Tonight was the last straw. My husband went in, waited for 25 minutes while the wait staff are on their phones and socializing amongst themselves. He called the manager on the phone to inquire what in the world is going on, to which the manager replied, "oh yeah, I saw you sitting there" (gasp) At which point he got up and walked out. If it was possible, I would give this place NO stars. The sad thing is, my family and I have been ordering food from here for years, and the service has always been ok. Nothing special, but nothing to complain about. Same with the food. Until today. My Stepson's Mom placed an order for pick up earlier this afternoon. We ALWAYS order pretty much the same food since we all know what we like there. Unfortunately this was not the first time they have gotten our order wrong. When we're dining in, it's an easy fix to have them take back the wrong one & bring the correct meal, but it is not as easy to do when you are taking your food to go, and you don't find out it's wrong until you're already home. On top of our order being wrong, like other reviewers on here have shared, my quarter chicken was WAY undercooked. I cut it open only to find it was pink the entire way through. I wish I had taken pics to show y'all before we packed everything up to take back to the restaurant, but I totally forgot to. Eating undercooked chicken is a health hazard for everyone, but being pregnant, I inspect everything before I eat it now and there was no way I was going to chance eating the Pink Chicken they tried to pass off as my meal today! We called to inform them they got our order wrong and were asked to bring it back so they could replace it. However, after doing so, we were given a hard time by the man at the counter about it, who refused to speak to us at all and only spoke to the girls who had originally taken our order in Spanish. He then refused to replace our meals and would only refund us for the 2 orders they got wrong. Even though I returned it, they still charged me for the undercooked quarter chicken that I obviously wasn't going to eat. This lack of respect and horrible Customer Service is the reason my family will no longer be patroning LaGranja, and I highly recommend you take your family elsewhere too. read more

I eat at many La Granja locations throughout palm beach and broward county however this has to be the worst location. Customer service is always slow for take out or dine in. I normally accept it and excuse it for always being busy and maybe not enough staff. But this time I placed an order for pickup half an hour before I reached the restaurant. When I got to the counter to pay I noticed the cashier guy looked at my receipt after I signed and slapped it really hard on the counter and turned around without saying anything to me. Idk if it was because I didn't tip...but I was placing an order for pickup. I saw him turn towards the counter and started cleaning the area and stocking items right where I noticed 3 bags for takeout ready. While waiting I noticed two men came and in seconds the same man who cashed me out picked up their order from that counter. He clearly knew these men and was very chatty with them. After several people getting their orders who came after me and waiting 15 minutes, I asked another boy behind the counter what's the status of my order. He said it was right here and went to the same counter the cashier was standing next to the whole time and picked up take out orders from for the other men. So it was sitting there the whole time. When I asked why the cashier couldn't give me this when he cashed me and I pointed straight at him, the cashier started speaking in Spanish to his coworkers, even though I understood exactly what he said and he just kept saying I don't know...why she can't wait. But he knew that was my order as he kept staring at me wait in line. No one apologized neither did the cashier acknowledge what he deliberately did. We go ONLY to this La Granja location because the food is consistently good and the place is clean. Yes, we drive past 2 other La Granja locations to come to this one. We always get the sautéed Beef and the half chicken dinner, always good and hot. The sauces from the bar are amazing! Rice, black beans and plantains are just fine. The service is hit and miss. Sometimes the counter personal are nice and friendly, other times they can be down right rude. We get our food for take out all the time and advise for anyone ordering the sautéed beef: be cautious of the beef juice, it spills from the container!! It leaked before I left the restaurant, I went back to the cashier and showed her. I asked if the kitchen could repack it, well they did, but without the beef juice. I didn't realize it was dry beef chunks until I was home. Bummer. read more
