There's no place to sit inside, but there are two nice parking spaces out in the front since it's a busy parking lot by a gym. They have several cases of sweet options, cakes that you can customize on the spot, and pastries that are topped fresh to order. They also have so many cake pop flavors. I didn't even know how to decide! The owner, Melissa, was so sweet to me! I asked her questions about the business, and what they do for catering. I love supporting local businesses, especially bakeries because I'm a baker myself. I talked to her about customizing an order for my place of employment in the next couple of months and she was totally on board to customize it how I wanted. Aside for my too good bag, I ended up buying an ube cake pop and a Boston cream tart, and both are out of this world! On Fridays and Saturdays, they do buy one get one free cake, pops, so it's a perfect opportunity to try all of the flavors! Definitely try this place, you will not be disappointed!

I was really happy with the service. They also offer baked goods and cake pops for purchase in store. The bakery itself is very nice and clean, with an open kitchen and workspace where you can watch the decorators at work. The cookies were some of the best I've ever had. I've ordered custom cookies before that were a bit hard, but these were so soft and absolutely beautiful. I'll definitely be using them again in the future. I also thought my cake turned out super cute. If I had to nitpick, I wish the 30 had been in a slightly bolder font like my photo reference, but overall they did a great job. The cake was also quite large and heavy. I believe I ordered the 10 inch, and it was very tall. The picture honestly doesn't do it justice. I chose the cookies and cream flavor, and it was pretty good.

The pastries were delicious and the coffee was delectable. Unfortunately, we stopped by about an hour before they closed, so our options were limited, but I still enjoyed it all! I'd bet it'd be even better to stop by early in the morning while all the baked goods are still fresh, so I'm going to make it a point to do that.

Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ, I walked a few doors down to James Beard semi finalist and Best of Phoenix award winner @ilpatisserieaz run by Jenna Leurquin, baker and chef trained in Paris, to enjoy some delicious pastries and a yummy oat Matcha Latte. The Pear Frangipane Tartlet I took to-go and shared with Hubs tasted so authentic and delicious with the buttery sweet shortcrust pastry holding sliced poached pears on a bed of almond cream cake. I admit I ate most of it. I waited for 1hr 40 min just to place my order for the viral fruit pastries. First you wait in line for a long while, then once you get inside it's an extra 10-15min for them to serve you. They had some ready to serve but there was a huge family of about 6 - 7 people who took most of the ready-made pastries, but they were were also making more in the process and there were a total of two employees in the back and one in the front. The inside was tiny, I'd say the size of a 500 sqft studio kitchen. Upon receiving the pastries, I tried each one and were all very, very sweet. I tried Mango, coffee, apple, banana, pistachio. I like the mango and pistachio the most. You could taste the flavor at first but the after taste is like eating a super sweet piece of taffy candy. Honestly, I wouldn't come here again. There was a line forming behind me who from the sound of it seemed like they wanted to try the fruit pastries too but when the people behind me asked if the establishment will be making more, they said they would the following day at 11am. I got there around 11:55am, and left at 1:57pm.

I recently had to be in the downtown Glendale area - the Yelp machine recommended I hit up Blue Corn Cafe. There's some development / construction in the downtown area so parking is a little limited. However - I was able to snag a spot right along 58th Ave and get a good view of all the cute shops to check out at a later date. Blue Corn was surprisingly busy that morning due to hosting a Coffee with Cops event. I got the low down from a few of the GPD staff that they are consistently rated as one of the best cafes in the city, maybe even the West Valley. They have recently-ish opened up a second location in DT Mesa, which definitely fits their vibe. I was told the owner gets up early every day to bake - I love the dedication to his craft. Like many mom and pops, there are times when quantities are limited. So ofc I had to buy some baked goods to go for my work team! Their muffins are HUGE - like 2 -3 servings per *singular* muffin. I didn't know what I was getting into when I bought 6... hello carb heaven for us. I noticed a lot of sweet and savory options - croissant sandwiches, cookies, you name it. Definitely the muffins were well-enjoyed by all (PSL, lemon-blueberry, red velvet), and the general consensus was lemon blueberry as the winner. It's a small space with not a lot of seating options however there appears to be a back patio that might be shared with other restaurants. I couldn't get a view on my way out. Cannot wait for the next time that I'm in the area to grab more sweets!

Today was the day to experience this spot after taking family to the airport. It's about a 10 minute drive from there. Location on a busy corner and not a lot of parking, so time of arrival can be limited to find a space. We were there just prior to noon, so there were a few parking spots open. You can take your food to go or they have some inside seating and a nice outdoor patio. So many sweet treat! Danishes, dessert's, pastries, cookies breakfast items, sandwiches, fresh baked breads, and so much more. The time, passion, & energy is what makes this place incredible. The croissants are so flaky and exactly like what you would find in Europe & France. It is nothing like the breads baked we usually find here. Better imported ingredients make for better quality products. They have different flavors which can range from plain to filled with various flavors. A stand out to try next time is their pistachio. We got the homemade chicken salad- delicious. The Croque Monsieur sandwich was rich, salty, savory & devine. Definitely perfect for two to share. They will toast it upon request. Highly recommend. Drinks-Biscoff Cookie Cold Brew & The Hawaiian Latte. My cold brew was decent. My daughter thought the latte was the BEST she's had yet in AZ! Missed out on the famous viral cruffin' The cinnamon is the one I want to get a hold off. My daughter was bummed they were sold out of the earl grey macaron. Those are her favorite cookie ever! Little pricey IMO; but again paying for ALL that I had mentioned above. (see receipt in pics) *Early mornings when they first open is the best selections, yet there's gonna be a wait. It's smooth, rich without being too heavy, and the flavor actually develops as you eat it instead of just being one-note sweet. You can tell they take this part seriously. Leave it outside the fridge for an hour and watch that cheesecake melt on your tongue crystals (if you have the patience for that) Their rotating monthly flavors keeps things interesting, and you're not just stuck with the same lineup every time. Out of what I tried, the banana pudding one was easily a standout--super nostalgic, creamy, and just done right without being overly sweet. The coconut one was also up there, more subtle but still really clean and flavorful. Love me some coconut! They also have a punch card system--buy 9 slices, get the 10th free--which is a nice touch. It lowkey turns into a mission because once you've tried one flavor, you kinda want to work your way through all of them anyway. Now...the downside. The customer service just isn't great. It's not aggressive or anything, just noticeably lacking. There's not much warmth or engagement--it feels pretty transactional. For a place that clearly puts effort into their product, you'd expect at least a baseline level of hospitality, and it's just not really there. So overall, if you're going to Banhams, go for the cheesecake. The rotating flavors keep it fresh, the quality is legit, and it's definitely worth trying. Just don't expect much from the service side, and you'll enjoy it a lot more.
