The decor inside is beautiful but unfortunately the food quality isn't up to par. The pastry counter also has no labels, so if you don't know what something is called, you just have try your best to point and describe the item you want. Not a major flaw but definitely an inconvenience. I ordered a vanilla milkshake and a fruit tart. The milkshake consistency was just straight liquid. I guess they took the milk part of the word milkshake too literally. The fruit tart had a layer of chocolate underneath the cream I felt threw off the delicate flavor of the cream. The best revamp I've seen yet. Prior to the revamp, Gran Paris was a pretty good bakery, but now it's an exceptional bakery. It's aesthetically pleasant, I would definitely recommend if you'd like to have a girls brunch. Instagram worthy plates and flower walls. The Cafe Gran Paris is amazing, because I'm short for words on how to describe how delicious the Nutella filled cafe con leche was. I would go back just to get another cup. The Nutella Pancakes weren't overwhelming, but just enough. If you are a Nutella lover, definitely give them a try. The eggs Benedict were a great, but the potatoes could be a meal all On their own. I was there during brunch time around 12:30pm. Upon arrival saw a sign that stated wait to be seated. I did, was noticed by 3 ladies talking, but no one acknowledged me. Waited for 8 minutes, till I interrupted and asked them, am I suppose to seat myself or will someone sit me. I ordered, scrabbled eggs with ham, I cuban coffee, and a croissant. I go to a lot of Cuban restaurants for breakfast and let me tell you this wasn't the best. I always get the steak and eggs or pallomilla when I eat breakfast. This steak was like cardboard. The eggs were okay. The fries were not crispy. My boyfriend ordered the eggs bacon and fries. He wasn't impressed either. I guess since we're younger and people think we don't tip we had to wait a while to be seated and have our order taken. I went here for the first time today on the way to the airport from Las Americas. My friends got a pastel de mango, a capuchino, and a senorita. The pastel was all that I tasted and it was reaaallly yummy! They were actually very warm, which was a nice change from other bakeries. They were crispy, not too sweet, not overly flaky, and tasted like real mango, not artificial. I would definitely drop by again for their pasteles. My friend tried the capuchino and said it was yummy, too. I think the prices might be a little more than other places because I think my friend paid $4 and I don't remember her getting anything but the 3 things I mentioned. The service was bad.
