Mind you I'm a 18 year old girl down at the beach on her graduation trip, and I think I knew how to act more like an adult and be appropriate with my actions then this man was. I don't usually leave reviews, but my recent experience at this restaurant was disappointing enough that I feel others should be aware. While the food was passable, the service was absolutely unacceptable. From the moment we sat down, our waiter was rude and dismissive. He barely greeted us, seemed irritated by basic questions about the menu, and acted like we were inconveniencing him by simply being there. The worst part? When our food arrived, several items were missing or incorrect. When we politely pointed it out, instead of correcting the issue, the waiter insisted--repeatedly and condescendingly--that we were wrong and had not ordered those items. He spoke over us, refused to listen, and made us feel like we were being dishonest. It was uncomfortable, embarrassing, and completely disrespectful. A restaurant can have good food, but if the service makes you feel unwelcome and disrespected, it ruins the whole experience. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone who values basic courtesy and professionalism. (How do I ask for a taco salad and you give me just beans and beef?)

Stopped here with some friends some we were wanting Mexican food and this place had good reviews. It was busy and the service was good and the food was great!! Only downside was had to pay for extra chips and salsa but otherwise would go again!

This is our go to Mexican restaurant. Food is always good and the margaritas is really good! We have never had to wait to be seated.

I got the namesake menu item. Good steak. Good margaritas. The salsa is a bit on the spicier sauce which I found to be exceptional.

That said, they were very apologetic and offered us free drinks while we waited for them to prepare our new order. I will say, it was worth the wait! This was some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. The empanada were to die for, as were the fish tacos, chicken tacos, and carne asada! We loved this food so much, we ordered it again before leaving the beach. Will definitely be returning on our next trip!

I also order Huevos Rancheros which are not a menu item, but they generally will make the eggs for me and I appreciate that. Our recent visit was not as good as what we normally experience. Ms T's gringa tacos in crunchy shells were not drained and the tortillas instantly fell apart from the juice that dissolved them. The sauce on my huevos was more of an Italian sauce. All they need to do is use their reasonably good salsa that is served with chips. Worst of all, the black beans were not what we usually enjoy. These were completely unsalted and serving was mostly bean broth and only a few beans. I'm sure we will continue to go here, but this was the first inconsistent visit and I hope it does not signify some issues in the kitchen.

Sensory Overload & A Twist on the Mahi Reuben…read more We stopped in during a game day, and while we were seated quickly, the environment was incredibly loud. They had all the football games playing--except the one we actually wanted to watch--and the extra speakers made it too loud to comfortably talk. The service was disappointing; our server was not attentive at all. She spent most of her time standing at the station drinking a beverage or hanging out in the kitchen, frequently walking out without checking on us. I actually had to flag her down just to get extra sauce to try and liven up the bland Reuben. The food was a bit of a mixed bag: * Mahi Reuben: This was not what I expected. Instead of traditional sauerkraut, it came with warm cabbage. The sauce was a "special sauce"--which didn't taste bad--but it wasn't a typical Reuben dressing. It also wasn't served on rye bread, and the overall flavor profile was very bland. * Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich: My husband ordered this, and it was a hit. It's a different take on the classic since they use queso cheese, but it was really good. Overall, it's a lively spot, but the lack of service and the Reuben twist missed the mark for me.

This was my first time here and will be my last. I arrived at 4:30 today (Thursday). A woman opened…read morethe door and said they were closed for cleaning and they would open at 5. So I waited a half hour for them to open. I asked for a booth where I could have room to work and eat and the hostess walked me over to a 4 top, which would've been perfect. The 2 tops are tiny. She said she would have to ask if could sit there, which was odd because it just opened and not many people were there. She talked to the gentleman at the bar-- who I assume was in charge. Based on the words exchanged, it seemed problematic from his perspective for me to sit there, despite the mostly empty restaurant. Since I'm a lawyer, I work where I dine much of the time and never experienced such a problem trying to get seated. The hostess asked me if upstairs was okay and suggested it would be quieter. Assuming she was taking me to a 4 top upstairs, I went up with her only to find there were a bunch of 2-tops. At that point, it felt as if I was not heard or cared about--as if I were unwelcome--despite being pleasant with the staff from the moment I walked in. So I was about to go back down the stairs and said it's okay I'll just go somewhere else. Then a woman on the staff overheard me and it was suggested I could sit at the bar. I explained that's not a good space because the bar area can become loud. And this is especially so when people become intoxicated. So basically my options were a little two-top or the bar. I ended up leaving. I worked very hard in the restaurant industry before I enlisted in the Coast Guard and eventually became an attorney, which is why I always make it a point to be polite to service staff. And I would've never treated people the way I was treated here. I could understand them not wanting me to take up the space of a 4 top if it were a Friday, a weekend, or later in the day, but this is Thursday right at opening time at 5pm when the restaurant isn't even busy. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
