You know, I really hate timing sometimes. I lived in the Prestonwood neighborhood of Cary from 2002-2003 before moving to Chicago. How did I not ever hear about this place? I walked in and that addictive smell of sourdough permeated the air. Forget the kid in the candy store; I want to be the kid in the bread bakery. I had a sample of their LaFarm bread, and it was a really good sourdough. It's one of those breads that I wouldn't even want to use as a sandwich, I just want this and some soft French butter. Or maybe put some broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl made out of this. So I got some breakfast. Now I thought ciabatta was a decent bread before. Kind of a trendy thing that just came out of nowhere, it's fine, take it or leave it. But I have never tasted a ciabatta that was this crusty, this light, and this flavorful. Extra virgin olive oil makes such a difference, my friends. I had this as my sandwich with bacon, melted cheddar, and scrambled eggs. Two slices of cheddar that were perfectly melted, fluffy eggs, crisp bacon. This was as well crafted a breakfast sandwich as I may have ever had, I guarantee that it's easily top 2 or 3. And I ordered a chai tea and got a huge 16 oz mug. The attention to detail at this place is just over the top. When I drive down to Cary again, I have two things that I must do. I have been there 4 times and 3 out 4 the racks were empty. No bread or rolls. I won't waste my time.

My mom and I visited this location recently for lunch. I wanted to give them a second chance as my last lunch visit was not very good. We arrived at 1:20 pm ( restaurant was not busy)and were able to quickly place our order....2 chicken salad sandwiches with chips and tea. We proceeded to get our tea and the dispenser was empty, so I let a cafe worker know. We waited for over 15 minutes for our food and for the tea to be brewed. When we received our sandwiches they were sloppily made and very skimpy on the chicken salad. (The same thing happened at my previous cafe visit.) The price and quality for the cafe is not worth the value. I'll stick to buying the pastries and bread and avoid the cafe. read more

This is my new go-to bakery in Cary. Delicious pastries and breads. Not to mention, the inside is super cute and they sell a lot of baked goods and products that you can buy as gifts for others or yourself. The coffee was good and there were lots of non-dairy milk options which is really important to me! I loved the almond croissant and the bread. We live in Cary and I used to stop by and get a loaf of bread every once in a while. They do make some great bread. Today we stopped by for lunch. My daughter, sister, niece and I. I will only review the food that my daughter and I ate. We split the Reuben and a Warm Goat Cheese Salad. Both items were on the specials chalkboard that is above the cash register. You are given a number to put on your table and the food is delivered. It didn't take long. When I ordered the Reuben I was told that they were out of rye bread and it would be served on whole wheat. HUH ??? I didn't mind that (at least I didn't think I did) until I tasted the sandwich. It was NOT a Reuben at all. I eat a lot of reubens and this is just not something that I would ever want to eat again. The warm goat cheese salad was very good. We split it and I think I had maybe 4 bites. I decided to come give La Farm bakery for breakfast after a client of mine was raving about it! It's situated in a shopping center behind Publix. As I walked up I noticed that they have seating outside which I thought was cute only thing I didn't like was how close the seating was to the parked cars. Once I walked in , I was overwhelmed with the smell of pure goodness. There was so much bread and baked goods I almost forgot I was dinning in! I walked around to check out what kind of variety and they had homemade granola, sourdough bread, French loafs , ciabatta bread , chocolate chip cookies, etc. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Wael he asked me if this was my first time I said yes he gave me an overview of how the cafe works. He showed me around and gave me some samples to try. I really enjoyed their chocolate chip cookies and the white chocolate baguette. I decided to pick up their famous sourdough bread, Focaccia roll, two white chocolate baguettes and there garlic Herb spread! Okay, now the cafe work where you have to order your food and then find a place to sit. The place was very busy, but there was plenty of seating so everything worked out great. They have a room for private parties and the decor was cute very French country. I ordered the Tartine Diablo with egg whites and a cup of their onion soup. It was good. They give you some Melon with the Diablo but it would have been nice to get like a fruit salad instead. Someone did walk by and ask was everything okay once they brought my food. I really enjoyed my visit and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and seem to love where they work! I also want to add that Cheyenne was very helpful as well and such a nice young lady! I will definitely be back ! FYI alert! When I got home from my long afternoon I toasted up the focaccia, then I cooked some turkey deli meat through some spinach and spices in the pan. Put it aside, then spread some of that garlic herb spread on the focaccia roll and then put the smoked turkey and spinach on top! Let me tell you it was so good I was in foodie heaven! The service at the register was great! Got the orders down right and repeated to make sure they understood. When we got our food everything looked great but I did find a hair in my quiche. Brought it up to the counter and they were professional and took care of replacing it and comping the dish l. They even gave us a half dozen macaroons! My husband and his friend went here to pick up some goodies for everyone back home so I can't base my review on the actual establishment, so the 5 stars is solely based on what we ordered and ate at home :) A couple loves of challah came home. We cut them thick and made French toast- this was yummy! One loaf was plain, they other, I believe, was topped with chunks of sugar...when the bread was cooked, the sugar caramelized a bit....yessss. **Side note** Challah is only available on Fridays!! There was one other bread/pastry that they purchased...(it could've been an orange crème challah)...all I can remember it was orange flavored...not my favorite, but it still was tasty.. Lastly, the White Chocolate Mini Baguette is really the driving force to the 5 star review. This is truly a life-changing baguette. On the outside, it is extremely plain looking, but once you take a bite, HELLO FLAVOR TRAIN! I don't know how they do it, but each bite is just so tasty...so sweet...so buttery. Came here on a Sunday morning around 10:30 am. There was a short line to order and not too many tables open, but I grabbed one outside. I got the white chocolate mini baguette ($5) and croque madame ($11). The baguette was delicious, though I think $4 would be more fair for the size. I wish they asked if you wanted it toasted too because I ended up taking it home and doing it myself--which was much yummier! The croque madame was well worth the $11 though! It came out hot, crispy, and delicious. The wait wasn't too long for how many people were there! Would definitely come again. read more

Came here with a friend for some brunch/lunch! Also wanted to buy my friend an almond croissant. Because The Layered Croissanterie was closed today, I figured La Farm Bakery would be a nice alternative. I was overwhelmed (in a good way) by all the pastries and breads showcased in their display case! I was really tempted to bring home a white chocolate baguette for myself, but decided against it, for fear of finishing it all in one sitting before I could even make it home. The menu was very concise and put-together. I initially thought of ordering a croque madame, but ended up getting a tomato egg scramble instead. I am a huge fan of sourdough, and I thought that their signature bread (which is a true, yeast-free sourdough) was very good. Otherwise, there wasn't anything too too special about my food. In fact, the scramble itself tasted like something I could easily replicate at home at a cheaper price. My only complaint was that my friend and I were offered plastic cutlery, which didn't stand a chance against the hard-toasted crust of my bread. All in all, though, I really did enjoy the experience at La Farm Bakery. read more

I. Love. La Farm. This place is a must-try if you're in the area. I am a creature of habit and have ordered their Croque Madame and Deluxe Breakfast Sandwich numerous times. They are always terrific. They have a few other dishes that I'm interested in, too, like the Quiche Lorraine and the Creme Brulee French Toast... yum. They also offer a variety of baked goods and and pastries. A go-to of mine is their white chocolate mini baguette. It's truly amazing and I always recommend someone try it if they've never been to La Farm and are thinking about indulging. Even on their website they say "Uniquely La Farm ... You cannot truly experience La Farm Bakery without trying at least one!" They are so right. They also offer some seasonal items which I am unfamiliar with but definitely worth checking out! During COVID times I have ordered online and picked up curbside. Everything went smoothly and I had no complaints about it but it's definitely not as great as stepping inside and smelling all the magic. Master Baker, Lionel Vatinet, is genuinely a master of his craft and we are so fortunate to have La Farm here in the Triangle. read more

A cute and consistence bakery chain. I love lavender so I couldn't resist when I saw this scone. The scone had actual bits of lavender in it so it wasn't soapy which tends to be the pitfalls of other lavender flavored foods. The cappuccino lid wasn't on properly so I spilled some which wasn't fun so just make sure to double check that it is on properly before drinking. read more

Service has gotten pretty terrible. It seems like every time I come now I have to clean off my own table from the previous customers mess. The white chocolate baguettes are half the size they used to and everything is grossly overpriced. It's a bakery/cafe.. not a white tablecloth restaurant. Their product is consistently good but doesn't justify the high prices in my opinion. The fact that you have to request a mug when you get coffee even after you've already told them it's "for here" or they just give it to you in a paper cup is just lazy. When you walk in, you might be walking into a crowded room with a long line depending on time of day, but the wait is well worth it. The area where you order has lots of baked good samples and goodies for you to look at while you wait. There are two lines - one for actual food and one for the bakery. Staff is always friendly and happy to give you suggestions and samples. Most everything is made there - even the marshmallows! As you decide what to order, there are lots of options and at lunchtime the menu changes. You order at the counter and take a number to your table, the staff will bring out your food. It can be a little hard to find a table but make sure to check in the left back area where there is additional seating. You can't go wrong with any of the menu options. Everything is super fresh and made with care. Many beverage options, as well. I will say one downside of the layout is the location of the bathrooms and the general lack of bathrooms. There are 2 and they are basically IN the kitchen so if you need to wait for one to open, you will be in the way of the staff. My favorite baked item: boy oh boy, the white chocolate croissants are amazing. read more

First of all, the storefront draws you in and gives you a feel as you're in a bakery in Italy or France. The food was delicious. I had the egg scrambler, added avocado. My husband had a breakfast sandwich. Coffee was great, and the service by Corinna was excellent; she was pleasant, attentive, and prompt. The food here has always been spectacular. This time, however, I was pretty disappointed. I always get the same thing, the grilled cheese sandwich with a side salad. It has always been so fabulous! This time, it was like on baby bread, and it was barely toasted. The older lady that I meet with on a biweekly basis had the same thing. She also orders a bowl of tomato basil soup. OMG this place is amazing! The pastries and bread are baked in house and you don't just get your run if the mill varieties of baked goods. Hats off to these guys for their creativity and for offering baking classes to the community. Too bad I don't live in town, otherwise I'd love to check out a class. This place has been on my list for awhile finally got to try it with my friends!! To start off, the shopping center is crowded. Might need to wait for a minute or two for parking. There are plenty of outdoor and indoor seatings when I got there on a weekday. The white chocolate bread was delicious but perhaps a little too sweet for me. I do like the breakfast I got with egg on the top. It was a perfect combo with the latte I got. The bread for my sandwich was so perfectly baked! I didn't try any other bakery was I was already too full with my order. Definitely is a good place to go for brunch! Customer service was great too. We went on a Thursday afternoon so it was not busy at all but the fall decorations and options are all spread out beautifully. I loved loved the Pumpkin Beignets! They are to die for. The pecan tart was also delicious - definitely recommend! They also had tiramisu and cappuccino cakes that was also great, both were not too sweet or too overwhelming. The coffee I got was pretty okay. They had options for added flavorings like caramel or vanilla, so I decided to add caramel, but it was okay. Nothing too impressive. Overall, this was a great place! I grew up in New Orleans and have been saying my family start to post about Mardi Gras and I began to crave king cake. In my search, I came across La Farm Bakery. It was on my bucket list of places to visit since I moved to Raleigh so I was very excited that I was in the area and had time to stop in. They have a wide variety of pastries that looked absolutely delicious along with some sandwich/salad options. I bought a mini king cake and a poulet au formage with chips. The sandwich was good, very generous with the meat and cheese. The chips were homemade and provided a nice compliment to the sandwich. I was able to try their signature white chocolate baguette. It is delightful! It has that comforting taste of homemade bread with little sweet notes here and there as you get the bites of white chocolate. Now, the king cake is not a true king cake (and they note that it is their rendition OF a king cake) but it's a good pastry and has nice presentation. I would for sure be back to try some of their other pastries. read more

Wow, I cannot say enough good things about La Farm! Everything I ate and drank here was amazing. My iced almond milk latte was wonderful, and I really appreciate La Farm having non-dairy milk options (although I wish they didn't cost extra.) When I ordered the avocado toast (without the fried egg it usually comes with), I was privately scandalized at the price--until my plate arrived. Not only was the main dish fantastic, it also came with potatoes, a scone, and fresh fruit, all of which were awesome and definitely justified the price. I will be returning for sure! read more
