Carne Asada nachos with guacamole, chips and red and green salsa with iced tea.

Read some good reviews about this place on yelp. My fellow Yelpers did not let me down! Before I placed my order, a gentleman brought me chips and two different salsas. Both were phenomenal! One red and one green, and absolutely tasty! I love it when restaurants bring you enough salsa for your chips. It really shows they understand what the customers want and need. I ordered the Carne Asada nachos, and I was not disappointed. The chips were warm and perfectly crispy with melted cheese. The ingredients like cilantro, tomatoes and onions were fresh and tasty, as was the guacamole. Now, for the customer service. The gentleman who took my order was so friendly and was striking up a conversation with me about where I was from and what I was doing in town he asked me questions about my family, etc. He was very friendly and helpful. The moment my ice tea got low he refilled it. The moment my salsas got low, he refilled them as well. He was on top of things without being smothering. Perfect!

We are blessed to have more Mexican restaurants per capita than anywhere else I have ever lived or visited. La Estrella is one I'd driven by many times and is by some very busy end destinations so it may get overlooked. A co-worker turned me onto them saying they are the only place that gives two sauces with chips. Something that should be standard but isn't locally. I googled their menu a placed an order. I am an enchilada snob and stopped ordering them locally because nobody else's cut it. So after a late night and little sleep I asked for cheese enchiladas and truly expected to regret it. I want ones that are full of cheese, onions, cilantro and flooded with red sauce, artery stoppers brimming with flavor. I opened the box and was pleased with how pretty the presentation and size were, though not like my dream-chilada. I sighed and started by sampling the sauce, the red and super hot were good but the greed was tremendous. My mood perked up as I started on the beans and rice, both great. Lastly I tried their rendition of the classic enchilada and I must say I was happy I did. It had great flavor, texture and melted in my mouth. The folks who helped me on the phone were courteous and very friendly, they even greeted me as I entered. The place was warm and I felt as though I'd been transported to Old Laredo, where I spent a bunch of time years ago. I will try them again and I'd say ask about their specials, the ones I saw sounded breathtaking.

First let me start by saying I'm a connoisseur of good Mexican food; anything that's in a tortilla is off to a good start, but I'm not easy to please. I had the Vegetarian burrito served wet and my husband has the enchiladas.. Both were super. Additionally the rice was great and they had whole beans..woohoo. They also have beer, so you enjoy a cold one work the delicious food.. Lastly their prices were unbelievable; they rivaled what you'd expect from a taco truck..

I stayed in Fort Bragg for my birthday and on the last day before we headed out, we really wanted to have one last good meal. We were not sorry we chose to wait about 20 minutes for this place to open. We were the first customers in and got a warm welcoming right away. I decided to get the Pambazo special and I tell ya, it was soft bread, but also had a perfect crunch after biting in, a wonderful balance, not so crunchy you bite it once and everything slides off. This one was actually manageable to eat haha. I enjoyed it very much. I also had to get the Tacos Dorado and again, amazing crunch. I got the chicken inside them and it was so juicy and delicious shredded chicken. My wife enjoyed the Pozole and Tacos Dorado as well. Everything had lots and lots of flavor and I left so full I thought I wouldn't need to think about food for days.

The BEST Mexican food I've ever had, I never thought so much flavor could be packed into a burrito.

That's my experience of Northspur. I've never stopped here with friends, but I've thought of my friends while I've visited. As in, this is a place my friends would really like. And, this: it feels like folks from around these parts that have friends come here with friends, and while they're here from all appearances they have a really good time. They could be faking but I don't think they are. The Willits bypass as observed by others and maybe other places by me was an unnecessary boondoggle that not only separated normal CA taxpayers from their money so as to avoid maybe five minutes extra travel time as they whisked north to ... to where would anyone need to be whisked in the north. I-5 is for whisking. 101 is for a different kind of trip. Not only that, the bypass also then has folks that don't know what's in Willits pass right on by. Their loss, though also a stake in the heart of the vitality of local business. Thanks, legislature, Caltrans and people that make money building things we don't need. This then for the people that would otherwise whisk by without stopping and are maybe hungry and turn to Yelp as the leave Ukiah to see what's ahead. Northspur is ahead, my friends. And if it's late in the day, get a room in town so you can sample every drop Northspur has to offer. The vittles aren't complicated, the menu isn't exhausting - but everything on it is good. The brewed offerings are delicious. Staff is straight out of Lake Woebegone (all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average). Friends with friends are having a rollicking good time and the vibe vibes with this happiness. I will stop every time. Try it once and I guarantee you will as well.

Nice format of having all the condiments (including lettuce and onions and pretty much anything that doesn't need cooking) at the condiment station. That way you get just what you want. It was sunny with temperatures in the mid-60s, which felt more like spring than winter. The week before the area was flooded with rain. It's rare to find a local, non-chain that specializes in hot dogs. This place is a fun, very casual, local favorite and great if you are craving a great hot dog or burger. They have an excellent selection of classic and custom hot dogs, including a legit Chicago dog, plus hand-cut fries and burgers. Everything is made fresh and packed with flavor. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the hot dog was honestly one of the best I have had. I only wish I could make them this good at home. Seating is available both inside and outside, and the vibe is very relaxed. It is super friendly, very local, and dog-friendly in the best way. Real dogs are welcome, not just the ones on the menu. They also have a good selection of beers, which pairs nicely with the food. Parking is easy and plentiful since it is right next to the local post office. If you are looking for a casual, fun, and delicious lunch spot in Bodega Bay, The Dog House is a must-stop. One of the best hot dog joints we have been to and highly recommended. I am going back next time I am in town.

This is where my review is going to differ from the majority that I see here and maybe I just have different tastes !!?? but I wasn't happy with the food at all. The hotdog itself had a weird consistency and the casing was strange, making a squeaky sound against my teeth when I bit down. The toppings were fine, but it was really messy and kind of offputting to have a ton of cold toppings with a lukewarm hotdog. Costco hotdogs are better in my opinion. The potato salad was OK. I can see see how people would love it and it's got a good spice to it; however, it wasn't my thing and actually left my tummy feeling a little yucky after eating everything.
