Prime rib

We dined here for the first time and were super impressed, as we walked in we were greeted warmly. We sat at one of the booths along the wall where we had a view of the entire room. It is decorated so elegantly along with the tables, we started with cocktails which were delicious and well made, we had a shrimp cocktail which was delicious I couldn't stop drinking the juice it was so flavorful. For our entrees I ordered the prime rib which was amazing it was seasoned well my wife had the fillet mignon which was also delicious. We did not have dessert so we don't have any feedback on that, the prices are reasonable, we totally recommend this place and we will definitely be back!

We decided to try this new place ( to us ) for breakfast. First impression when we arrived it seemed like a vintage style restaurant in Black and gold and was very elegant. We were in jeans and were told we were dressed fine. For dinner I would dress up more. Our waitress was Cassandra and she was very friendly. Our waiter was so attentive, constantly topping off our coffee to keep it nice and warm. My husband had the chili verde omelette style and I had the shrimp & grits. Both were very delicious and tasty. We recommend this place for breakfast. We will check it out for dinner soon.

What a very beautiful venue! So glad we tried it out. Service and hospitality from every single person on staff here is on point! I would give that 10 stars! The food was very, very good. We brought our own wine and paid the $25 corkage fee. Our server, Alan was very attentive, polite, courteous, knowledgeable, pretty much checked all the boxes! You've got to check this place out!

This is the most elegant restaurant I've been to in Ventura by far. Just tried out their brunch, but I will be coming back and will update my review when I come back for dinner cause their prices are very reasonable.

When I first walked in I was very impressed with how elegant the entire restaurant is. The restaurant has a gorgeous bar, booths and tables. Everything was beautiful to the eye. I loved the chandeliers, crown moldings, the lions on the back of the barstools, the gold flatware, velveteen booths, etc. Ambience A+. We came here because I want calamari. I asked if we were dressed appropriately and we were told yes. This place is beautiful and looks fancy. When offered a choice, we chose the booth. The menu is filled with pages and pages of delicious sounding cocktails. We chose non alcoholic drinks. I really wanted a fresh brewed iced tea. Unfortunately, there ice tea is from a machine. I opted for a Diet Coke. The glassware is elegant as is their gold silverware. (That's an oxymoron! ) OH, I digress. We ordered the fried calamari and the vegetable tempura. It did take some time for our order to arrive. We were offered bread. The bread was so small yet warm. I do not believe that that was butter. It didn't melt like butter. When our orders arrived, I quietly noted the very small portion. The calamari was good. As a teacher, I give it a B. The vegetable tempura was also a very small portion. The tempura vegetables were well cooked and seemed fresh. One of the issues was the batter. The batter was so so oily. I was disappointed and confused by the fact that the dipping sauce was not tempura sauce. The dipping sauce that we had seemed like a lighter version of Thousand Island dressing. I do not recommend this appetizer. The service was wonderful. Our soft spoken waiter was kind. I love the way he presented my drink. His folded hands were like a coaster. He did not touch the glass. It truly was a presentation. There was a group of friends at the bar. They were having a great time enjoying the World Cup. There were about six of them. They had the bar and the game to themselves. P.S. There is a surcharge for using your credit card.

We live in the neighborhood and finally came in for dinner a few weeks ago mid week. We were the only customers which we didn't mind. The restaurant is really fancy and high end feeling. Everything is black and gold which makes even a Tuesday night dinner feel elevated. The service was fantastic! The food was delicious!! Everything we ordered came out at the perfect temp and had flavor like what you'd expect from a high end steak house. Both the chowder and French onion soups were so yummy and the steak was cooked to perfection. Their prices are very reasonable and they even have kids meals for under $10! The drinks were a little pricey but expected for fine cocktails and no complaints on taste and presentation. Wine list was also Looking forward to returning.

Filet was cooked perfectly with a delicious crust. Chimichurri was so good!

Ambiance and service were top notch. Seating was comfy for us short skirt/shorts girlies. It was our server's first day and she was great. We ordered from the fixed price menu: appetizer, salad/soup choices, and main entree. Lots of fancy cocktails to choose from too. Beer and wine selection were well-curated. Food was high quality and each plate came out in perfect timing. Bussing was on point, taking away empty plates, refilling water and wine glasses. Bathrooms were clean (actual paper towels rather than a blow dryer). We were there on a Friday evening at 6, and by 7:30 the place was filling up. Have already recommended this spot to friends and will be back.

We really enjoyed our meal. The service was great and there was no wait on a Saturday night which was nice. The mushroom and soup were great starters to a delicious meal. We had a great experience here and will be back to try more off the great menu.

Our waitress earned a standard 20% tip for smiling from the start! They don't need to try to get a tip but it's so nice if they try!

Always drove by this place and have been wanting to give it a try. Naturally, I Yelped it to read the reviews and for the most part, the consensus was that the food was great and i am happy to confirm that it is! We tried the $45 special which includes choice of appetizer, salad and entrée. Rib eye - cooked medium. The hubby enjoyed it very much and he is very particular about steak. Filet mignon - cooked medoum. I enjoyed every bite. It had a beautiful crispy crust and melted while cutting a bite. Both steaks came with a mushroom sauce and they have a homemade chimchirri sauce that they asked if we wanted to try. We preferred that over the mushroom but both sauces were good and served on the side. caesars - well dressed salad with fresh croutons and parmeasan calamari - crispy, well seasoned and served with a small side of marina. We had to ask for sliced lemon. They also have sides available to share for separate charge. We split a baked potato. I have seen bigger potatoes in other restaurants but it turned out to be just right for us. The service was friendly and welcoming. We popped in early evening on Sunday with no reservation. There was one big party of 12 and our 2 person party. Another group came in and we were taken care of timely. This decor inside compliments the exterior perfectly. Very tasteful and elegant. There is a small lot that belongs to the restaurant but also street parking is available. Lastly, I can also confirm they do not serve margarine with their bread. Omg people, whipped butter! Those comments were tripping me out. LOL We will be back for sure. Nice to see some great new restaurants popping up!

Came to give the Duquesa another try with the family. The service we received was spot on. The food we order was delicious, cooked right, enjoy the filet mignon. I am big meats lover. The de ora of the restaurant still the same had the warmly feeling when you come in and greeted by beautiful decora as you are seated. La Duquesa is one to try. We be back again in the e coming months.

Pretty woman!

Absolutely incredible food and the bar menu is diverse with tasty drinks! The best thing on the menu was the pretty woman paired with the stuffed chicken. However, the bacon wrapped shrimp don't disappoint! Based on the quality of food, drinks, and incredible service they are reasonably priced. Great for big events, birthdays, or a special date night!

Love the ambiance! Also having grilled octopus is always a plus in my book, as is stuffed portobello. Let's support this new local biz. :)

The happy hour menu has a great selection of both food and drinks at really reasonable prices. We ordered the chicken tacos, the spinach and artichoke dip, and a drink, and everything was delicious. The tacos were flavorful, the dip was creamy and perfect for sharing, and the drink hit the spot. Service is pretty straightforward you place your order at the counter, and someone brings everything to your table. There's not a lot of interaction with the staff, but everything was smooth and efficient. One of my favorite parts was the atmosphere. The happy hour crowd was a nice mix of people, and the place had a fun, lively energy without feeling overwhelming. Since it was a warm day, my friend and I chose to sit inside. We had a spacious table with plenty of room for our food and drinks, which made it easy to relax and enjoy catching up. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back for happy hour. It's a great spot for good food, reasonably priced drinks, and a casual place to meet up with friends.

Ten Tigers is off the beaten path and I've met friends here for coffee but after 4:00 it transforms into Ten Tigers. Hubby read about their Smash Burgers so we split one and the flavors with chipotle aioli were the bomb! We've been going to Third Window in SB for our Smash Burger fix- no need to drive all that way anymore!! For $17 you get a Smash Burger that feeds 2 and perfectly crispy thin fries fried in beef tallow. They even serve chipotle aioli with fries- Best!! I ordered the special White Sangria which Is so good I had to order on repeat. Since it was Happy Hour, we also ordered the grilled chicken tacos for $8. We both thought those were tasty as well and their avocado salsa verde is the just like the one I make at home. Ambiance is well curated with welcoming outside patio feeling very open and airy with organic Boho accents and wood features. The servers were efficient but very friendly. Ten Tigers is legitimately a 5 Star - will Recommend highly! Since this review, we re-visited on a Friday evening and ordered the same drinks and meal. I can confirm the consistent quality of the food. This Friday night was hopping with several groups celebrating Birthdays. We lucked out and found one of the last open tables. The servers were very busy and took a while to clear off and clean our table - not a big deal because their priority is serving the tables and getting the food and drinks out to the tables. There is a longer line at the counter to order just before Happy Hour ends at 6:00. Tip- plan your evening to arrive earlier. Ten Tigers is now on our repeat list in Ventura.
