He handed us a few food menus, a drink menu and told us we can sit anywhere we pleased. We chose the corner and enjoyed the decor and ambience. It's not a loud scene, it's a bit on the low light side, they do have music playing and it's tasteful. The food menu is very simple, small bites, we ordered one of everything to try and it was enough to share. Parking was very easy as there are plenty of public parking lots all around. Jaguar Moon is in a great location and surrounded by many shops, restaurants and breweries. We highly suggest a stop here for their tasty margaritas or try something else on their fun drink menu. Another good night at the Jaguar Moon We had a large group and had a meeting. There was plenty of room, including the patio area, we were able to talk to one another easily and be heard. The mezcal margarita was smoky, smooth, and perfectly balanced -- not overly sweet, just bold and refreshing. We ordered the tinga tostadas, cochinita pibil, and steak tacos, and every dish was packed with flavor. The tinga had that rich, slow-cooked depth with just the right amount of spice. The cochinita pibil was tender and amazing seasoning, and the steak tacos were juicy, and cooked perfectly. The vibe is fun and lively, great for a night out or casual dinner with friends. Our favorite food here is the ahi tuna appetizer and the ribeye taco. They are 12/10 for sure. The Paloma is good. I do not personally enjoy the frozen mango margarita, it's too strong hah so if you like it strong, you will enjoy it. The ordering system is a little inconvenient. I tried the QR code on the table but it didn't work. You have to order food separately and drinks at the bar. So essentially two lines if you want to eat and drink. The vibe is good. 5/5, that's right! Husband found this gem online and we decided to stop by and give it a try. The drinks haven't disappointed: delicious and strong. They have a little of everything for your liking: vodka, mezcal, tequila, rum, etc. ambiance is very chill, welcoming and colorful. This spot is spacious with plenty of room to move around freely and sit wherever you please. They have an outdoor area that is open and airy. The best part of this place is their music selection. Great new tequila bar downtown from the same family as Cocktail Trust and Strange Beast. Right off the bat, great lively vibe with wide open space and wonderful decor. Our first time here, we stopped by for drinks after having dinner at Model Citizen - wonderful way to end date night! And love that it's slightly off the beaten path of main street so it's not quite as slammed. A good selection on their cocktail menu, and they have a wide variety of tequila. Their Harvey Leche and classic margarita are both good choices, but I have yet to find one of their signature cocktails that really draws me in and makes me want to come back for it. If you're not the biggest tequila fan, they do have some slushie/icee type drinks that are on the sweeter side and a good alternative. If you're looking for food, Cocina Jaguar is a separate restaurant inside Jaguar Moon that serves food. You can either order at the counter or from the QR code at your table, which makes it super easy. Delicious food but definitely on the pricier side. We've come both during the week and on the weekend. No issues finding seating during the week, but it gets BUSY on a Saturday night. Be prepared to either stand or wait for a space to open up. Service is definitely hit or miss. Wish I knew her name, but there's one female server there who always provides the BEST service. Otherwise, it's been very slow, even on nights where the bar is pretty empty. Overall, there's a couple other places I'd choose to go in downtown over Jaguar Moon, but it's still a great choice for a drink out. read more

Another great visit to Jaguar Moon on Cinco de Mayo. We sat at the bar and got great recommendations from the bartenders on what to order. I was looking forward to their $5 tostadas for Cinco de Mayo, but didn't realize their main kitchen closed at 9pm and they turn to a late night menu. It was about 9:15 when we tried to order from both their normal menu and Cinco de Mayo menu. When we decided to pass on the late night menu, they went out of their way to find us at the bar and allow us to order the tostadas. I'm so glad they did because they were SO GOOD! We had one chicken and one pork. They were a little spicy but so flavorful and the tostada didn't get soggy. Tamarindo Sling and Jamaica Mules are great non-tequila options that we tried. read more

A cute lil spot I was across the street with a friend trying to grab lunch, but they unfortunately couldn't accommodate our sear request so we crossed over. We liked the vibe right away. The lights. I always trust her judgement and when she said this spot was amazing I knew we had to come. I love everything about Jaguar Moon. It's rare that I have don't have feedback on how to upgrade a space, especially when it's new lol but they've really got it figured out here. The vibes, food, service and drinks were immaculate! I love what they have done with the space and it is so much larger inside then I would have guessed from the outside. This week is their soft opening but happy to see that they will be able to accommodate the masses because I am sure this place will get super popular. I love the decor of jaguar moon. It's giving Miami Vice vibes. Tell me I'm wrong?!! Anyways, the decor is spot on. They created a moody vibe inside as it's dark but they have fun neon accident and some spots that have pops of light. You've got to check out the inside because they really did a great job stylistically. Loved the tables, chairs, wallpaper, and the bar is lovely. If you are coming for drinks you can order up at the bar top or there were some lovely gentlemen coming around and taking orders for us. If you want food they have a back counter and register where you can order separately. It was actually easy enough and service was wonderful. The night we came it was all gentlemen working the bar and floor but everyone was so lovely, welcoming, and hospitable. I hate bars where the staff act "too cool" but I'm so thankful that here everyone is nice and personable. Major kudos and shoutout to Chris, Joel, Jordan, and Jesus who helped our group out on 11/19/24. Service was A+. The food is also exceptionally good and well executed. I tried both the sea bass ceviche and the ribeye tacos. Wow! Flavor bombs went off in my mouth. The ceviche is a must order. They don't skimp on the fish and it was so fresh and delicate. A small hint of spice but if you ask for no chilis you'll be just fine. The ribeye tacos were juicy and flavorful. Honestly the tacos are big so while I just ordered one it was plenty filling. I loved the ribeye as it was cooked perfectly and I'm a sucker for their guac and green onions. Cocktails you can't go wrong. I did the Hibiscus mule. Loved the glass it came in and was cuter than a copper mug. They have the funnest glassware here! Shot glasses are adorable. Please don't take them! Lmao. We need to continue to have nice things so don't be a jerk! lol. But really, such fun cocktails. I appreciated that the bartenders made my mule extra sweet by giving me some extra hibiscus syrup. They were so nice about it. We had a few rounds of different tequilas and boy were they fabulous. Jaguar Moon is a total 10/10. Please keep doing what you are doing and I'll be a loyal customer. Jaguar Moon reminds me of being in Miami in the 80s. The pink, purple, yellow and turquoise color scheme inside the place is fun and different for the area. The drinks are tasty, with a good amount of character that matches the names of the cocktails. Not-to-mention pairs well with the unique mugs that some of the drinks are served in. The bar area is separate from the food service. Meaning, you can only order drinks at the bar. You have to order food from a window area in the back of the space. I appreciate the separation of drinks from food, if you just want a cocktail. But its inconvenient if you're expecting to go out to eat and drink. It's an open seating concept where you seat yourself, but leaves you wondering how this all works, as their is not an official greeter in the front. So don't wait to be seated, or you may miss out on that cool spot you were staring at. The staff were all friendly and conversational. Giving you details about the drinks and spirits. We ordered several different items and they were all miniature with no sides. There were only 10% of the menu items available. We spend well over $100.00 with %20 tip just on food and still ordered a pizza down the street before we left. If the tacos were 2$ great. This new spot has a great local vibe--warm, welcoming, and laid-back. The setup is unique: the bar is separate from the kitchen, so you order in the back, and they bring the food to you. We arrived just in time for a Happy Hour Margarita (perfect timing!), and I was impressed by their tequila selection. Service is friendly and Chris helped us navigate the cocktail menu. We came for Happy Hour on a Monday to try it out. We were able to take in the vibe and esthetic without the crowds. Chris recommended the Tamarind cocktail for hubby and I got the Watermelon Fix and we were both impressed with the bright, not too sweet, well-crafted cocktails before us. Wow- mine was so good served in a coup glass for good reason with both tequila and mezcal. It was a perfectly balanced sip of bright, slightly fruity and Smokey with a bit of heat on the finish. Slightly to moderately spiced is often the way of the food and drink around here however none of that mattered once I found out they hand make the tortillas. Right then, I knew I needed to try it! Plus, they have a few different types of tortillas so I'll definitely be back to try the others but some additional menu options with no spice would potentially be a nice addition. On a busy night the staff on the bar will have a hard time keeping up with the drinks -this is an assumption also expect noise, not recommend for a romantic night.
