Armando and his team are excellent. Committed to getting the job done and fair/reasonable rates. Couldn't recommend them more.

I like mice and rats, I really do, but they just can't live in my house or garage or under my house. I ask them nicely to please leave, they refuse, they multiply. I hate killing living things. I have tried the ethical traps were you trap and re-home, but where I live there is no place to really re-home these guys. I would never use poison, that is just cruel and the traps worried me, but I found myself with little choice. I called a few companies and got outrageous pricing and one even told me to have them put garlic all over the place once a month for a fee. I found La Cucaracha, and called them. They were out when I wanted, the next day, saw what needed to be done, told me what it would cost that day. I asked them to come out the next week and they did. They got everything done and in place in a day. They were great and understanding of my issues having to kill these guys. Now, if the rats would just dress like the adverts for this company, I may just get over it, but my neighbors would not. Thank you so much for your help. read more

La Cucaracha Pest Control - I wish they would dress like this. I would have to have them for dinner. - Pest Control Near Me

I have tried other exterminators, they want contracts and weird maintenance that never takes care of the problem. Getting rid of mice can be so difficult. Armando didn't stop until he found the hole they were coming through, which required him to pull out a cabinet. But it worked! Armando and his team are great - they also have helped me with my yearly ant invasions. And he is the nicest, most pleasant person to work with. I have been a customer almost 10 years! Super nice family business. read more

Best in business. Good service. Know how to kill roaches and keep them dead. These guys are great

La Cucaracha Pest Control - Pest Control Near Me

So grateful to have found this company. Long ago, I used another pest control company for rats - in addition to constantly encouraging me to use poison (nope) they roped me into a monthly contract in which they spread some sort of garlic paste in the backyard. Didn't do anything for the rats, and my yard smelled terrible. Got rid of them. Then got a quote from another company that is very popular. They quoted me 3K to secure the house and set traps. So that didn't work. Enter La Cucaracha. The secured the house and set traps all for a very reasonable price. No pressure to use poison, arrived when they said they would, and most importantly, gave me a good explanation about what to expect going forward. To be honest, I'm still sort of shocked that I found such an honest and effective company. This is the way to run a business. read more

Great price and friendly service with a job done right. That's all everyone can ask for. This business delivers! I truly appreciated the fair price for a small job. The owner came by and quoted me and the following week he completed the job without much poking and prodding. I have an old home and I'm contacting LOTS of contractors and it's like pulling teeth to have them get back to you, not the case with La Cucaracha. I would recommend them and I would use them again. read more

Great first experience as a new homeowner! Called Armando -- he was prompt, very kind and friendly and immediately scheduled a visit for a Saturday no less to take care of my ant problem. Friendly and honest service, fair pricing and all done with a smile. I'll definitely be calling La Cucaracha back in the Spring to re-treat my home. Thank you, Armando and Rozaleo! -- Meghan read more

I had bees in my wall and ceiling along with a honeycomb! Armando and his crew did a spectacular job removing them. They double-sealed the doorways and covered the floors to prevent any honey dripping down. These folks were very thorough in keeping everything clean. I highly recommend La Cucaracha's services! They provided quality pest control and were very helpful and friendly. Plus, they observed all COVID-19 precautions. Excellent job! read more

Just moved into a new apartment and had no idea there was some roach-homies living there already. Rosalio came through on Labor Day weekend like a champ and murdered their whole posse. He sprayed everything thoroughly and placed bait in cracks and crevices. Haven't seen any since. Would recommend, also their logo and business name is great. Trying to snag some La Cucaracha merch! :D read more

Do you remember how muggy and disgusting it was in L.A. a couple months back? Well, I guess when the weather gets all east coast like that, the roaches come out to play. Matt B. and I have a storage space/laundry room in our garage, right under our place, and for a few weeks, every time we went inside and turned on the light, we'd see a disgusting brown roach scurry off into some corner. I eventually prevailed on Matt to kill it in an epic bug spray battle, but unfortunately, we were optimistic in thinking there was only the one. We were worried about roach eggs getting into our laundry and coming upstairs to where we actually live, so I called La Cucaracha. I'd never dealt with pest control before, so I don't have any basis for comparison, but the whole process struck me as very smooth and easy. I made an appointment for I think that day or the next over the phone, and the woman I talked to was very nice and helpful. The exterminator showed up on time and was totally great, friendly and knowledgeable about roaches. He explained that what we had were water bugs (which sound better than roaches but are equally gross), and that they probably came up from our drain when things got humid. He also told me that water bugs don't lay eggs--they have fucking live births, which is making me want to throw up even as I type, but at least that meant we didn't have to worry about them infiltrating our house all sneaky. He went downstairs to the infested space and pretty much just sprayed the whole thing along the bottom edges of the walls. It took him maybe five minutes and cost like $140 but you know what, absolutely worth it. He assured me that it would be effective for at least six months and that if I saw any live water bugs after five days, to call them back and they'd do follow-up work. It's been over a month and we haven't seen anything. La Cucaracha cleared out our pests and put our minds at ease. I hope I never have to call them again, but I will if the need arises. read more

We had an excellent experience with Armando! We had an urgent roach problem to resolve and Armando's thorough work really did the trick. We haven't had an issue since his visit. My husband and I are so relieved we called him when we did. We highly recommend Armando! read more

I had a pest problem a couple of months ago. I tried my best to handle them myself and picked up pesticides at Home Depot which weren't as effective as I needed them to be. It was driving me mad - so much so I thought maybe I would have to go into a mental hospital because I'm absolutely fearful and grossed out by insects. They preoccupied my mind for two whole weeks before I came to my senses and called La Cucaracha (thanks Yelp!). The technicians came out twice and both times, they did so within the time window I was given, did full inspections, applied the treatments and reassured me I didn't have a crazy infestation which I was convinced I did because a woman fearful of bugs lets her mind go crazy. It has been about two months and not a single insect. Yes! And their rates are absolutely reasonable. Thanks, La Cucaracha. I think you're awesome even though your company shares a name with the bug I fear most. read more

Armando and his Team are the absolute best. We have been using their services for over 9 years now and they treat us really well. Always courteous always on time. Not the cheapest but never the most expensive. read more

The theme song for La Cucaracha should be Megadeth's 'Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good!' Yes, these guys are not just good, they're pretty awesome. I've used them on two separate occasions for rat problems at a couple of residential rental properties that I manage. The technicians that come onto the premise can look at an area and identify the point of intrusion and set traps to effectively catch any of those nasty critters that are in the dwelling. However, before doing that, they will make recommendations on how you can close off the access points either by yourself or, for a charge, they will close it off before setting the traps to catch the rat finks that are now trapped in the house. Their rates are very reasonable. Yes there is a $60 inspection charge, but when added to the fee for the actual work, it's competitively priced when compared to other pest control companies. Trust me, I did a lot of checking around before making the leap with them and there's a reason why they have as many positive Yelp reviews as they have. I think some of it may be for their friendly service but I bet most of it is for getting the job done by eradicating the pest problem and making sure that you know why the problem started in the first place and that you now know how to make sure that the problem won't become a problem again. read more

I'm not a person who would normally call pest control, I'm more of a DIY-live with it kind of gal....but after seeing how easy it is to have Armando and family come and do it for me, how reasonable and how EFFECTIVE they are, I now find myself calling them for all sorts of issues. They completely solved my mouse scare (they were cute but the poop was out of control!), helped with my mosquito pain, took care of my roach fears & now will do away with the moths that ate my rug....all for less money than a month of Starbucks!!! read more

We haven't experienced an honest business in a long time. We contacted la cucaracha for a rat issue that was partly fixed to which we complained about on here but the owner, Armando heard us out and he reached out to me. He heard me out about my experience and he was easy to talk too and offered to fix the issue which was greatly appreciated as we weren't planning to hear back from this business after the experience but this is the type of person you want to give your business to because they try to make it right if there is an issue and sadly it's harder to come across patrons like that nowadays. Thank you Armando! read more

Our new GO TO pest control. Armando and his team deliver high level service and are professional, personable, friendly and reasonably priced. They've been extremely helpful & knowledgeable in getting rid of some rats that began to take residency in our complex as well as maintaining a monthly service for ants, spiders, etc. They even took pictures to share with us, since we were out of town during the services. I highly recommend La Cucaracha for all your pest control needs. read more

These guys are the best of the best...I moved out of LA and I am so, so sad they won't come to my new home. I knew I never had to worry about anything with them taking care of our pest control needs. We had more than a few critters and every time I called them they were able to get rid of them immediately! We had issues with ants, roaches, ticks, fleas, mice, and wasp....I mean it was literally one thing after another. Once I called La Cucaracha they didn't last two days after they treated. We lived near a field and when the fires hit our area it felt like we had so many visitors....thank you LC for being such a great organization.... I'm bummed I couldn't bring you to our new home! read more

Armando was very helpful and professional with my attic issue, he made sure that every place was sealed all around the house to stop the critters from coming into my attic, came back to check a couple of times to make sure the problem was resolved. I just expend more money before he came without solving the problem, when he came to help me and believe me it was so reasonable that I am so happy I found him. My highest rating and over all thank you Armando for the help and your professional attitude and friendliness Highly recommend read more

We had a problem with ants. Armando sent out one of his people and he did the standard treatment, but that didn't solve the problem. I sent Armando a photo of the ants and he came right out and solved the problem with a specialized treatment for that species of ants. It was a pleasure dealing with Armando. He's a real gentleman. read more

I called La Cucaracha for a rat issue we had in our garage. They were great - very professional and well-priced. They identified the areas from which the rats could get in and sealed them to prevent further infestation. The work was very neat, and Armando was very knowledgeable and friendly. I will be using them for our pest control needs going forward, and highly recommend them. read more

I really despise cockroaches, which is one of the main reasons I really like Armando. Armando is extremely knowledgeable in terms of pest control services. He and his team are excellent at diagnosing and treating a problem. The last thing you would like to encounter is an unwanted visitor in your apartment, but old buildings can harbor creepy crawlers in the pipes. Horrifying. However, La Cucaracha's service will set your mind at ease! Furthermore, Armando is extremely professional, kind, and patient. I recommend La Cucaracha Pest Control to everyone! read more

Adding another glowing review for Armando and his team! We've been working with La Cucaracha for our house and one of our rental properties for over 7 years now! I can't say enough how they've dealt so well with all the the pesky issues we've had come along - ants, mice, rats, etc. We originally called Armando because a previous exterminator kept telling us we were making up that we heard mice. That exterminator set traps and "didn't find anything" yet my toddler and I started getting rat mites (looks like chicken pox) and had to see a dermatologist who basically told us what we had and to get rid of the vermin immediately. SO...Armando showed up as a second opinion, FOUND and trapped the mice and all was solved! From there on (since 2015), we've been working with him since and honestly call him a part of the family. We see him for maintenance each year. read more

Beware of extra charges after the fact. Quoted one amount then billed another charge. Yelp is a great place to look at other people's experiences before you contract for work. I will not recommend this place and I will work with this company again. read more

I'm disappointed after reading all the great reviews. They said they'd come at 3:00 and showed up at 5:00. Then they promised to be back the next day to check traps and seal up my house so no more rats could come in, but they never showed and didn't call, either. When I called to check on the situation, the tech didn't answer. I called the office, and they didn't answer, either. I wanted to love these guys like everyone else, but...my house is still ratty and now I have to start over trying to find someone who will show up. ****update The guy did finally show up. He did a lot of work around the property, which made me feel better. But then he said he'd come back the next day and didn't show at all. I called him twice, and he never answered. My landlord called the office and didn't get a call back. Four days later, I still haven't seen or heard from him or from the office. I called again just now and nobody answered. Now there's a bunch of dead rats in traps, just rotting under my house. Awesome. read more

I've been working with Armando and La Cucaracha for 10+ years now. I own/manage apartments and houses and I would only use Armando and his crew. I've had excellent results with their control/eradication of -roaches -ants -spiders -mice -rats -bed bugs -bees/wasps - problem birds/pigeons OK, they are human. Like a great restaurant, they are popular and sometimes get busy. Sometimes you may need to be a little flexible. They sometimes run late; they may not schedule you in as fast as you want. But that's a small price to pay for excellent service. Before you believe the several less-than-complementary reviews here, check out the competition and their huge pitfalls. La Cucaracha stands head-and-shoulders above the institutional pest control companies. They are honest, knowledgeable and most of all committed to getting the job done right. read more

Armando and his team are the best. Recently, we have heard little feet in our attic, scratching, fighting, annoying!!!! I was referred to Armando by someone in our neighborhood, and I called him. A very nice lady called me right away and arranged a time for him to come and inspect our home. By the same afternoon, Armando was at our house, assessing the situation and placing traps in the attic and in the crawl space beneath our house. He came by every day to check for mice and to remove them. He helped us catch a total of 7 mice! And he also hand-crafted new trap doors and removed any possible way for the mice to get back in. What a wonderful service!!! 2 weeks later, and the mice are gone. YAY!!!! Armando was always so responsive - he always called or texted me right away. I would recommend Armando and his team in a heartbeat. They are nice and professional and they get the job done. read more

For those of us, who have had to deal with the delicate problem of rat control, it's good to find a professional who knows what he's doing, does the job for a fair price, and does what he says he'll do. Armando of La Cucaracha Pest Control Service, 323 221 7666, 2347 Riverdale Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90031-1132 proved to be all of that for us. We definitely recommend him, and his small business. read more

I had ants problem at home. After reading all the good reviews on yelp, I decided to give a phone call..... The man who picked up the phone had a horrible attitude, showed absolutely no interest in my ants problem. He told me that he will give me a call back. Never called me back. Very very poor customer service and do not recommend this place to anyone. I called terminex? Next day and it was smoothly taken care of with very friendly stuff over the phone. Again, very poor customer service and waist of your time. read more

I schedule an appointment over a week ago, cleared my schedule and was on time for my appointment. Call Armando to complained and he just told me to look for someone else. They're quick, thorough, friendly, and skilled! I highly recommend La Cucaracha! We were getting bites from rat mites (which we didn't know was rat mites until we found 2 of them crawling on our bathroom wall... yuck!), and that was a living hell for all of us. We tried everything to get rid of this nuisance, from catching rats with traps and even cleaning attics and placing a new insulation (which cost us a fortune) to no avail...! In desperation we called La Cucaracha. Tommy showed up the same day and did a thorough inspection the next day; he was able to find the entry point right then, and sealed it up. Tommy came back several times more to make sure the seal was working and helped us with traps. Within a few days of the seal-up, rats were gone. Thank you, Tommy. :) It's been more than 7 months now, and we're still rat-free, bite-free!! And, on top of it all, they're very affordable!!!! On a side note, if you're getting bites from invisible something, suspect rat mites! We have this problem in So.Cal, big time!! read more

We asked this gentleman to come and help us deal with a cockroach problem we were having in our kitchen. He was pleasant, personable, and uses an incredible sort of gel paste that he injected with a syringe in hidden spots. We did not have to pull furniture from the walls, or empty our cabinets, or worry about poisons, powders, or sprays in our food or near our dogs. For good measure, we did ask him to come back one more time, which he did gladly. It has been over 18 months since, and I have not seen a single roach in that time. HIghly recommend to anyone in the Sunland area with a roach problem! read more

I tried to get a quote from La Cucaracha Pest Control. They are located very near to where I live. When I scheduled the appointment I was told that They required a $60 payment for an estimate. I said that would be fine if once I hired them this $60 was applied toward the work and was told no. This makes me very suspicious of how effective they are. I contacted two other rodent specialists in the area and both were willing to provide me a free inspection and estimate. read more

Armando took great care of me. He sprayed for roaches and went the extra mile by also using a fogger when I told him how persistent the roaches were. We schedule a follow up and he show on time to apply gel. I even schedule another appointment follow up in 6 weeks. I had used La Cucaracha before but with mix results. Make sure you request Armando. I had another tech before and it was a bad experience. Armando is the man even if you have to wait longer. read more

All in all these guys are great. We experienced a rodent (rat) problem a while back and called on La Cucaracha to come inspect out home. They thoroughly inspected our house and pointed out entrances needing to be sealed. They were helpful and even showed in some things we could easily fix ourselves to avoid added cost. They came back on their own and sealed off the house from outside rodents. After they set traps and began checking them periodically throughout the next two weeks. They managed to catch quite a few rats until the rodents seemed to be gone. It's been about a year and we still notice a few rats we managed to catch on our own which leads me to believe there are still areas not completely sealed off, but in their defense La Cucaracha openly advised they could not get under our outside stairwell to check for holes. A couple months ago we called them back to catch what we thought was a skunk (turned out to be a opossum) in our crawl space. These guys are always on time and accommodating at a great price. read more
