Decided to try La Cañita after seeing it all over social media. Beautiful venue, great music, and delicious croquettes, but the $46 churrasco fell short. Unfortunately, the service ruined the experience. With only five tables taken, they messed up our drink order twice in a row, lacked attentiveness, and still charged for an untouched cocktail. Good food can't make up for bad service and repeated mistakes. Don't fall for the influencer hype--I won't be returning or recommending this place.

Service smooth, the restaurant wasn't full on a Sunday around 6pm. The pork I order was delicious. I don't like pork but this was very good I recommend it if you like pork. Ambiance was live music, although they were setting up when we arrived. I would try again

The food, music, the drinks and the ambiance were top notch. So happy we don't have to drive East to find a gem like this in West Kendall. Great job Michelle Bernstein!!!

    Empty plate for reference.

Service was absolutely awful, we did not get served for 3 hours for them to then get the order completely wrong and/ or forget the food. I would not recommend coming here if this is the service that is being provided. Though the food did eventually come out, it was great. The restaurant itself was so loud we couldn't even hear the waitress. I lost my voice after we left due to how loud we had to speak to each other.

Uf! Where to begin! Came to celebrate father's day here and it did not disappoint. Excellent service, exceptional food and the mezcal drinks...oh my gosh. The live music and dancing was the cherry in top. Wish we had a place like this in San Diego. Truly, cross generational fun!

La Cañita in Kendall is exactly the kind of spot this area has been needing .. fun, lively, and full of energy. The vibe was amazing..the live music kept the place buzzing all night. The food was good but the apps were better and the drinks were strong. The only real downside was that some of the food came out cold, and we had to send it back, which was disappointing. I think my group honestly enjoyed the appetizers more than the actual entrées. I'd say this is the kind of place you go for drinks, small bites, and some dancing .. a fun night out without having to drive all the way to Brickell or Wynwood.

Honestly, we came in on a Friday night and the menu looked great online. We accidentally walked into a very high vibe which was awesome! There was live music and the band was great!! It does look like staff doesn't really know what they're doing, but maybe it's because I am in the hospitality industry myself. After asking the host how long the wait would be and standing there waiting for a response for maybe 10 minutes, she just walks us over to a table. I mean, very nice! But just not what I was expecting. We got one of the best seats in the house if you're looking to watch the live show! Now was for service, I get that it's a busy Friday night but it happened on not one, not two, but THREE times where the food runners went to the wrong table when dropping off the food. Our server was okay, not much can you do with such loud music, so I understand, but she was taking absolutely forever to bring us anything and even tried handing me a takeout box while holding three plates in her hand, and then look at me crazy when I don't know what she's trying to give me At some point the music was getting crazy feedback and I literally had to cover my ears. Overall? Not sure if I'll be coming back but the food was pretty good.

This Father's Day, we somehow ended up without kids. My husband wanted to hit his fav store- Dick's and grab something to eat. As we were heading to park we saw La Canita. They had a live band playing which was really nice. We found seating at the bar and were tended to promptly. it was a warm day so we had a couple of draft beers. To start we ordered the jamon Serrano Coqueta's. They came with a delicious fig sauce that really gave it a good taste. The other appetizer we had were the empanadas. They came out nice and hot and filled with beef. For our mains, my husband had the Ropa Vieja with black beans and rice. My husband is a Cuban who loves his black beans and these passed his test. I decided to have the roasted pork with yucca. The pork was absolutely delicious and I love the crispy Chicharrón. The serving sizes were huge. The music was great having the live band. We would definitely come back.

Took my parents here for dinner to celebrate their anniversary. I had been looking at other reviews and photos of this restaurant for weeks, and was so excited to try. I made reservations indicating we were celebrating an anniversary.  Flavia was GREAT! She helped answer menu questions, and made recommendations. There was an issue with my dish, and she was extremely apologetic and fixed the problem immediately. The ropa vieja was delicious and really flavorful. The maduros that came with it were perfection! We also had mojitos, tostones and the local snapper filet. The flan and bread pudding were also really good. What would have made this evening exceptional, was if there was some kind of acknowledgement on the dessert plates in celebration of my parents anniversary.   The music was lively but a bit loud. I can only imagine how loud it is when the live band starts playing. And the Christmas decor, which was very festive and sure to get you into the holiday spirit!

I checked out this new spot for happy hour with friends--such a fun vibe. The bartender was great, there was live music, and we even danced a little. It's from the same owners as Café La Trova, so you already know it's a good time. No food this time. But will definitely come back

Great addition to the Town and Country Mall. La Cañita is owned by the famous chef Michelle Bernstein and has a similar vibe like her other place Cafe La Trova. It is vibrant and lively with loud Cuban live music and a full bar. Perfect if you're looking for a boozy brunch and fun dinner with dancing. I went once for dinner and once for brunch. I tried the lamb chops and snapper. The snapper on top of yuca and a coconut broth was my favorite. Their flan de la Flaca with maracuya sauce is delish too. They have a wide variety of drinks that are all presented in a fun way. Great place for birthdays.

Burnt churrasco. If you like it medium well, ask for medium

I came on a Saturday afternoon and we were seated right away. We tried the empanadas and they were missing some flavor. I ordered the Chilaquiles. Although the waiter told us they were not spicy, they were. The tortillas used are not made fresh, and that wasn't great. The churrasco was supposed to be be cooked medium well, and it was cooked more than that. Although the cocktails were decent, I don't think I would be back

Increible lugar, nos encanta. La pasamos super bien, the service was extremely amazing, please come to this please am ask for the seafood ceviche, live music is espectacular

The first bar we tried didn't work out (long story) and my husband mentioned having seen an interesting bar next to Pisco y Nazca where we had been a few times. So off we went. It was around 9:00 pm, and there was only like one other couple there. My understanding is it's more of a club vibe later so that's prob why. It is all outdoors with a bar across the back. It looked nice and was decorated for Christmas. We chose to stand at the bar instead of sitting at a table which seemed to have service. We ended up ordering a cocktail each (amaretto sour and mojito). There weren't any prices on the menu (except for the specialty cocktails which they were out of). Our total for the two drinks came to $42! So I paused and asked if the tip had already been added, and the bartender sort of mumbled something about "no", so I asked if the drinks were actually $20 each. (I mean, we're in Kendall, not South Beach!) So then he showed me the receipt that showed the drinks were $16.50 each and an auto grat of 20%+ had already been added. I did not add an additional tip on top of that. But the experience was in line with some of what I read here (afterwards) of them being a little scammy financially. I'd give it 1 star but the drinks were fine and I could see the vibe being fun once more people showed up.

From the moment we sat down, the guy looked annoyed that we were there. Zero greeting, zero eye contact. We waited almost 10 minutes just to get acknowledged while he was chatting with another customers at the other end of the bar. When he finally took our order, he barely listened. I asked for a classic Old Fashioned and he brought me something that tasted like watered-down whiskey with too much bitters and a random orange slice thrown in. My friend's whiskey sour was unbalanced -- definitely not worth the $18 price tag. I politely mentioned to recommend us another drinks options he just shrugged and said "we don't have that" Not offer another choice or an apology. The drinks were mediocre at best, but his attitude made it worse. He ignored us most of the night and acted annoyed every time we ordered. Zero professionalism. The place has a great vibe but with service like this, is not worth to spend almost $200 dollars there for few drinks. I don't remember his name but he was tall, Latin and maybe from Colombia. Eddie's, established in the early 70s, feels more like a career criminal who found religion, just got out, and now swears he's trying to get his life together. Would a true dive keep a decades-old black-and-white tube TV around so you can watch your car? Additional amenities include an ATM, a combination photo booth/jukebox, and even a cell phone charging station, which means Eddie somehow supports bad decisions and the evidence they leave behind. This isn't Eddie's Bistro or Eddie's Café, it's just his Place, so don't show up expecting anyone to cook for you. Aside from chips, the bar skips food altogether. Still, Eddie's plays to its strengths: it encourages you to bring your own food or order in, as long as you keep the bartenders busy. "Cocktails" arrive in ribbed plastic cups, but shots and beer arrive in proper glassware, which is this bar's version of caviar service. A free pool table anchors the room, while one corner hosts beer pong and another area for old-timers to throw darts. Drinks run from $6 to $12, and Happy Hour sweetens the deal with 2-for-1 wells until 8 p.m. That special feels a little sad Monday through Wednesday, when the bar opens at 7 PM. However, it absolutely slaps Thursday through Sunday, when doors open at 2 PM. I rolled in after The Mandalorian & Grogu, which is exactly the kind of demoralizing movie that demands a drink. It was Goth Night, although the DJ seemed to be the only person who got the memo. She kept the room moving with dark house and classic goth tracks, giving the Place the energy of a house party with a fog machine and a hit-heavy playlist. Eventually, she veered from Bauhaus and Combichrist into Bruno Mars and Calvin Harris, which felt less like genre betrayal and more like a Wedding DJ loosening their tie. Eddie's Place delivers the holy trinity of a proper neighborhood bar: cheap booze, zero pretension, and just enough chaos to make you stay for one last round over and over again.
