A great breakfast burrito through and through, and one not in a restaurant but a tented pop up on the corner of S Atlantic Blvd and Pomona Blvd. Their located within the small lot in between the Pep Boys service garage and its main building. I saw the reviews and was looking for breakfast with my bf and this came across my search. They have quite the set up with tickets clipped to the top like a kitchen in a restaurant, flat top to cook everything on, and prep station to assemble the burritos. We got to the LA Breakfast Burritos around 10:30am and it looked like they were still getting ready which was no problem. I believe Tanya took our order and was so kind doing so. She was by herself at first, and let us know that it was probably going to take 25 mins. No problem, we went to grab ice coffees nearby. When we returned there was another gentleman (I didn't catch his name) already busy cooking up the waiting orders. This is made fresh to order by him with Tanya also assisting, hence the bit of wait time. I ordered a sausage breakfast burrito, and added bacon to it to give it more protein. The total was $16. The gentleman that was cooking and also assembling the burritos also called out names for orders. Very cool and friendly chatting up everyone picking up orders. We also got two small green sauces to go with it. This burrito was definitely worth the price, and was more than enough to split and fill both my bf and myself up. The tortilla looked like it was grilled with cheese on the outside making it crispy and had a good chew at the same time. Bacon was nice and crispy as were some of the edges of the potatoes which were nice and soft. The sausage looked to be regular sausage links but were still good. Eggs were fluffy and the pico de gallo added a nice freshness. The green salsa was SO GOOD, and tied everything together. It was very lime forward which I absolutely loved, and was spicy too. This place claims to have the perfect breakfast burrito. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. I got their bacon one which had crisp savory bacon, soft season potato chunks, thick creamy beans, crema and cheese that kinda got lost in there, unseasoned eggs, and creamy bright guac with crunchy fresh onions all in a decent grilled tortilla. It also came with a bright, acidic, a bit spicy yummy green salsa. Yall I'm a bean fiend so I gotta get a plain side of their beans to try and they were super thick smooth luscious earthy and mellow. Depending on what time you get there expect to wait some time for your order. I went on a Sunday 10 mins before 9 am. When I got there, no one else was there but the guy taking the orders was taking a phone order so I had to wait for him to finish that. Once I placed my order for 2 sausage breakfast burritos I was told it was going to take 10 minutes. The person behind me ordered and he was told 15 minutes. I would hope they would prioritize customers in person over phone-in orders, otherwise I wish I would have known and called it in. It did take over 10 minutes for my order to be ready. I drove by maybe 30 minutes later and there were a lot more people waiting. Now for the food...I really enjoyed their green salsa. It was a little thick, almost like a guac green salsa, and it had a nice tanginess from maybe lime. The burrito itself was a bit greasy though. I've been a regular at LA Breakfast Burritos ever since they opened in Monterey Park, and in my opinion, they have the best breakfast burritos in the area. It's my go-to spot and always a treat. I usually order the breakfast burrito with sausage, and it never disappoints. It's fairly unique compared to how other places make theirs and always hits the spot. The rosemary potatoes are nice and crispy, the sausage is flavorful, the eggs are perfectly scrambled, and their complimentary sauce ties everything together. Had a really bad experience today, this is not a good way to run a business! We wanted to support a local business but need to warn others about it now. I called in a phone order at 8:00 for 2 burritos, waited a bit and arrived at 8:15, our burritos weren't ready or cooked. There were 3 people waiting when I arrived so they made their burritos first, then ours finished at 8:25, why call in an order if they are not going to start it until you arrive? Next I was overcharged 3 times!!!!!! In California is it illegal to charge merchant fees. There is no sign posted stating additional charges. 1. On the receipt it shows a processing fee $.87 for the burrito 2. There is an additional charge of $1 for credit fees 3. The girl added an additional tip $4.80 I did not enter When I tapped my card on the phone it does not show the total amount being charged so I was unaware until AFTER I received the email receipt. There was no option for ME to enter a tip so the merchant had to manually add that. Also I didn't sign to approve the purchase. I've passed by many times and was so surprised to see all the amazing reviews on Yelp. I of course had to try it. Especially since I've been craving breakfast burritos. The menu is simple yet customizable. I got the bacon breakfast burrito with no bacon but you can also sub for sausage or add stuff etc. BF got the sausage burrito and the sausage pieces were big which is good. Our favorite things about the burritos were the soft scrambled eggs and the potatoes. The potatoes were smashed yet crispy. Absolutely delicious. They make every burrito to order so it took about 10 mins to get our food which is pretty fast. We saw them cook everything fresh and even make the guacamole fresh to order. Theres only three of them and they work well. No one seemed stressed or rushed. The price is...fine, about what I expect for LA, but I'd like the burrito to be just a little bigger to justify it. That being said, it's not unreasonable for the quality. Was craving breakfast burritos and remembered my friend recommended this place. I drove out of my way here and was excited that I also came on the day they were having a sale for their 3rd anniversary. When we got the burritos it wasnt hot and it seemed like everything they put inside was cold, and we ate them right away so in the same couple of minutes you would expect it to be hot or atleast warm. It didnt seem like the components inside were properly heated up/cooked. It was hella oily and honestly really gross and wet overall. The sausages were cold, the potatos were not crispy at all, the egg was droppy + sloppy, the pico de gallo was super watery and liquidy just making the entire wrapped tortilla a liquid mess while your hands were just coated with so much oil from the tortilla. The green sauce paired well and actually tasted so good, but not well enough to hide the obvious. First off, not a big fan of breakfast burritos. I like my breakfast on a plate; the eggs, potatoes, and sausage (or bacon) separated. Secondly, if you aren't a fan of rosemary, you may not enjoy their potatoes in your burrito. The aroma will be noticeable when you approached their stand. That said, the care and expertise with which they prepare each component and assemble them is clear with every bite. The potatoes are phenomenal. Instead of a vast flavorless void upon that first bite, these expertly seasoned home fries are like a big welcome mat that reads "EAT ME!!" compelling you to continue eating. The rosemary fried potatoes are a flavorful foundation to this burrito. Usually, the potatoes are one reason I'm not a fan of breakfast burritos. The potatoes seem like they're just happy to be there-- filler; a starchy flavorless void in each bite. These home fries really deliver in the flavor department. It was honesty eye-opening to me how good potatoes can really enhance the whole breakfast burrito eating experience. Second, I feel refried beans are somewhat hit and miss. My litmus test for a Mexican place is, how good are their refried beans?? Burritos should include really good refried beans and breakfast burritos usually have zero; they're more like breakfast "wraps" The beans here are really good. They're refried right on the plancha. Their bean & cheese burrito is comparable to La Azteca's beans or the beans from Lupe #2, except the texture here is stiffer. Perfect for burritos. The eggs feel like they are scrambled right past "soft and runny", but before they become too rubbery. In other words, they're cooked perfectly. They are nice and moist and like every other part of the burrito, deftly seasoned. I love how all different components share the same griddle space-- The potatoes are shoved aside so eggs can be scrambled in their space; the bacon is frying at one moment and at another, beans are being refried in that same section. The flavors all come together. It's like alchemy. Every moving part of this burrito-- the potatoes, the beans, the eggs -- are so well executed on their own but at the same time work so well together. Honestly these guys are assembling the Green Beret A-Team of breakfast burritos. They're located in the parking lot of the Altadena dairy mini-mart on Garfield, just north of Riggin and are open from Saturday to Monday. Was mad hungry after picking up my Black Friday haul, and found this joint nearby. I parked in the liquor store parking lot, and quickly got my order in. The person taking my order was super friendly and made sure to highlight the menu offerings. I appreciate the menu being limited to six offerings. They have a seating area within the tented area while you wait for your order, which is a nice touch. The breakfast burritos have a twist in that they put in beans; however I was willing to go out of my comfort zone, and I ordered the bacon burrito. I asked one of the returned customers and the person said this pop-up stand has been around since March and someone posted about this breakfast burrito place on FB group. [Parking]: The pop-up stand is located right next to Alta Dena Milk drive-thru and there are limited shared parking spots right next to Garfield Inn. [Hours & amenities]: Apparently the stand only opens on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I came at 9 AM and there was already a line formed. The stand was managed by three guys and they turned on the grill at 9:10 AM. They wrapped their 1st burrito at 9:20 AM and the waiting line had about 20 people standing under the sun with few pop-up tents providing some shades. The staff was friendly and had music played in the background. I eventually received my burrito at 9:50 AM. I panicked a bit when the staff didn't accept my $100 bill and I never used Zelle via QR code before, but luckily a young lady offered to exchange my $100 bill to 5 $20 bills. I only learned afterward that I could use Zelle through my bank app. [Menu]: They only sell one item - breakfast burrito for $12. *** Breakfast burrito ($12): One of the biggest breakfast burritos I have had and really generous portion.
