Great Mexican Restaurant. I loved the coffee not to mention the "coconut flan". I also had a fish taco, it was very fresh and tasty. Great place to stop by when traveling HWY 1 thru bodega bay. read more

Great food, everything is homemade; from the salsas to the tortillas. I am not a desert person but their coconut flan is to die for. You must try for yourself! read more

The place has great food and wonderful serves. We got the hard tacos, super burrito and shrimp was really good it had lots of flavor. The salsa I can just take a bunch home and eat forever...great prices and staff are really nice read more

Ordered the Salmon daily special which came with a garlicky ranchero sauce and it was cooked so perfectly. The sauce was super flavorful and the salmon was cooked medium and very moist. Even just the rice was cooked with such care. Also shared the super nachos with the table which were really good as well. Their fresh salsas, especially the orange one is fantastic. read more

Great Service. Roasted Chicken Ixtlan was wonderful. Wife had the fajita mix and said it was ok. Chips and and 3 different salsas, all good. We'll be back. read more

We're at the Bodega Bay RV Park with no desire to cook or eat in a restaurant. Their takeout was awesome! They had a waiting list, but our food was ready in 10 minutes, during that time I drank my own glass of wine outside and played with 2 little girls. I had crab enchiladas and hubby had Chile relleno and an enchilada. Delicious! read more

I can't believe anybody would rate their feed less than a 5. It is true authentic Mexican food. If chipotle and Taco Bell is your idea of Mexican food, this is not your place. I had a chili verde taco salad and my husband had chili verde and it was the best we've ever had. Rice and beans were also exceptional. The chips and two varieties of salsa were great too. Service was perfect and food was spectacular! Every time we are in Bodega Bay we will be having Mexican food here! read more

We've eaten there several times. Always excellent. The food is very good, the service is very good, friendly, and prompt. The atmosphere is "local/informal" but fine. Prices are favorable. This is an excellent choice for an informal, good, friendly, meal. Check it out. You won't be sorry. read more

Great Mexican food. Fast orders. Excellent customer service.

Stopped in this place on my way down Highway 1, and was super glad I did. I had a wet carne asada burrito with the chipotle sauce. Freakin fantastic. Actually got another one to go when I left for later. Not real spicy, but tons of flavor. These guys know how to make a burrito. read more

Salmon Tacos with Green Rice and Black Beans. Ordered Fusion Green and Black Tea. Heaven!! One of good mexican food. Loving the highway 1 ride and the delicious Mexican food. A great place! read more

La Bodeguita - Salmon Tacos with Green Rice and Black Beans. - Mexican Near Me - Bodega Bay, California

I went with a friend and this food tasted terrible. We were extremely disappointed because we had high expectations of fresh ingredients because it was by the ocean, but everything tasted canned and stale. The salsa was watery and the meat and seafood was watered down as well. Little to no flavor. read more

Great place to catch a bite!! Wife and I ordered the carnitas plates and everything was delicious. Just like my grandmother made when I was younger. Great customer service and nice location as well. read more

Great roadside Mexican restaurant. Service was friendly and quick. Food was delicious--not overpowering, and the salsa was outstanding. Outside area was dog friendly and even supplied water for the dogs!! I would recommend La Bodeguita to anyone visiting Bodega Bay! read more

We ate there last night and had a wonderful experience. The food was great. Service was premium. Chips were a little flat. That being said, we will be back. read more

This restaurant was awesome. We found the food fresh and authentic, and reasonably priced as well. Most of all, the staff were willing to bend over backwards for us, inventing dishes on the fly. I never write Yelp reviews, and started an account just because their service was so great. Great stuff. read more

I read many comments, and think it's so funny people expect 5 star service when they come close to or past closing time. If you would have come during normal hours (before 8:30pm), the service and food would have been the BEST. Maybe the "open" sign is not flipped to "closed" because the employees are busy cleaning up the restaurant already. It isn't like a fast-food restaurant, where their food is already prepared. So for the freshest and highest quality food, get there at least 30 minutes before closing time! The fact their they were out of horchata convinced us even more that their food was extremely fresh. They prepared a certain amount of horchata that day, and if you come too late, too bad! We didn't mind because they ran out because it was prepared that day and obviously popular! We ordered the pina colada instead and were all impressed with our order! Anyway... my family, boyfriend, and me visited La Bodeguita on Wednesday, June 18th and thought this restaurant has by FAR the BEST Mexican food we have EVER tasted!! Me and my boyfriend both currently live in Los Angeles (he grew up here), and all of us agreed that we had never tasted better Mexican food either in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, Elk Grove, Canada, or even Mexico itself. We have each eaten at at least 15 Mexican food restaurants (not including imitation Mexican food restaurant, Chipotle). I wanted an horchata, but I was immediately informed that they had run out. The fact their they were out of horchata convinced us even more that their food was extremely fresh. They prepared a certain amount of horchata that day, and if you come too late, too bad! We didn't mind because they ran out because it was prepared that day and obviously popular! We were completely impressed by their carne asada tacos, fish burrito, grilled chicken salad (AMAZING!), and camarones (shimp) al mojo de ajo (EXTREMELY AMAZING!!!!). In addition to tasting incredible, their food portions were great too! Besides La Bodeguita's AMAZING food, we were also impressed with the customer service!! The server constantly came out to check if we needed anything, and he even gave me my virgin pina colada for free because he said it was the last of it (I couldn't even tell that it was!) And my parents and boyfriend ordered a normal pina colada and it was nice and strong! Even though the road trip to Van Damme National Forest was longer going up the Pacific Coast Highway (The 1), we would like to drive through there again JUST so we can stop by this restaurant again! TRULY PHENOMENAL RESTAURANT!!!! read more

This is a nice little place that is clean and has pretty good food . It has an open salsa bar for refills and the drinks were pretty good to . It is right next to the bodega bay rv park so if your there you can just walk to it and not worry about driving .The people running this place were very pleasant . We went here 3 times during our week staying there . So if your in Bodega bay and craving Mexican, give this place a try . read more

I don't remember the last time a Mexican restaurant gave fresh chips still warm from the fryer. The house salsa are delicious. The veggie burrito was really flavorful and tasty. Good portions too. read more

Good place to stop for Mexican food on the coast. I ordered the chimichanga which tasted great and wasn't too greasy like some Mexican restaurants. My friend ordered the shrimp burrito and LOVED IT. I'll probably try that out next time we stop on the coast. Staff was friendly and food didn't take too long to be served. This is one of the few places that serves Mexican food on the coast..all the other places are mostly seafood restaurants. They have plenty of options without seafood in case your my in the mood. Overall, friendly staff, good food and reasonable prices. read more

My family and I went camping here for the weekend and tried many seafood restaurants and by far our favorite meal was this place. They have the best Mexican food and their salsa was absolutely delicious!! read more

Fabulous food again. A locals favorite. Order anything with the Al Pastor pork- fantastic!! Bring your own wine - no corkage !

Delicious & authentic Mexican food from the Puerto Vallarta region. Excellent service - a cut above. We ordered green chili verde and fish tacos. Both came with or were on corn tortillas. And two different kinds of rice and beans on each plate! The owner offered either grilled fish or batter-fried on my tacos. Thank you! The restaurant feels original and not pretentious. Just good food served with a smile. By far the best choice for Mexican food in the Bodega Bay Area. Easy to find -- located on Highway One in the north Bodega Bay area. read more

La Bodeguita makes an incredible vegan burrito! They don't use lard in their beans or chicken stock in their rice. Also, Their salsa is the best l've ever had! Yum! read more

After spending way too much on an overpriced fine dining experience last night, we found La Bodeguita while driving in the morning. Stopped in for brunch and were blown away by the quality and taste! Great rib-stickin', solid Mexican, old school. Cheap. Chips and salsa bar. So glad they came to town.

Awesome fish and chips! Food was great loved all the salsas and sauces. Service by Gladis was outstanding.

If your looking for super casual, inexpensive, fresh food in Bodega Bay this is the only place to go! It's family owned and operated. You'll almost always see the duo of brothers cooking together. The food is excellent! All fresh, made with care and you can tell these guys know what their doing. The service may be a little lax and slow some days, but they are doing the best they can. I'm willing to wait a few extra minutes to see a waiter or get my food when it's this good. If you want fancy decor, guaranteed fast service from waitstaff then there are plenty of overpriced underwhelming other places in Bodega Bay. If you want excellent food, nice people, and to support people doing what they obviously love- this is the place for you! Chipotle Burritos and Dorado tacos are my fave but I've never had a bad meal here and we eat here at least once a month. read more

OMG... don't just drive by! La Bodeguita is a hidden jewel! Service was better than a 5 star restaurant! Our waiter was attentive without hovering. He recommended a new item on the menu, I think he called it the Mazatlan. It was huge prawns and chicken under a red sauce with a little cheddar cheese on top! Delish! The restaurant itself is super clean, No fancy anything, but super clean means more to me than fancy stuff. Thanks guys! I will be back! read more

The food was mediocre, the beans were flavorless, and the waiter was rude. Overall, I'd steer clear of this restaurant unless you absolutely need a break from the delicious sea food restaurants that dot the Pacific coast, which isn't know for Mexican food, and this restaurant will help you understand why. I had huevos rancheros and it was flavorless and unappealing. Skip this dish if you must eat here. read more

2 words... CRAB ENCHILADAS! Wow. So good! The staff (a family owned business) is so friendly and accommodating. Good salsa and chips too. Had the Shrimp in Chipoltle sauce too. Very tasty and not spicy. Good good for gringos as it has all the flavor without the heat. Will be coming back!! Gracias La Bodeguita! read more

Thursday night and the place was empty. Should have walked back out. Ordered a plate of nachos. They looked pretty good but were cold and not much flavor. Not even an offer of more salsa to spice up the bland cold nachos. read more
