I made an appointment online for which they charged me $29. I arrived 10 minutes early (appointment was at 1pm) and they were closed for the day. The guy washing their windows told me they closed up at noon and left. Google says they close at 6pm. I received a missed call at 11am and no voicemail and I called back and left two voicemails making sure everything was okay and never got a reply of any sort. I don't understand what happened here, but I won't be going back. It's just no way to do business. I did leave a third voicemail demanding a refund. Not holding my breath though. read more

Hair color: it is ok that she was not able to do match the color I wanted, but on my temples the gray still shows. On gray coverage, it is uncomfortable knowing I could have done a better job at home for much less money :( read more

I really am not one to write reviews but I am absolutely mortified by the haircut I received at this salon. I came as a walk-in because my normal hairstylist cancelled one me and I had an event to attend last night night and needed a haircut. In my 23 years of living I have never gotten a haircut this bad. I asked for face framing layers and two inches off the bottom and this is what I got. Not too mention I was CHARGED for this... I had my hair colored by Cindy for the first time last Saturday with Aveda products. I have to say not only the place is amazing, but everyone was extremely friendly. I've been wanting to try Aveda products for a while, and let me tell you is a MUST if you care about your hair. After my apppointment, Cindy recommended an Aveda shampoo, conditioner, and mousse although I was hesitant since I seemed to collect products, I have to say I LOVE all of them, my hair looks awesome. I was a bit hesitant leaving this review, because the last few times I left good reviews for beauty related places...eventually, I couldn't even get an appointment because they got so busy. So, I thought about keeping this place to myself, but that just wouldn't be fair...because they're awesome! Nazira did my hair today and she did an amazing job! I was shocked at how shiny and healthy my hair looked after she did her magic on it! I mean, my hair looked pretty beat up walking in and look lustrous walking out! I was not expecting that at all. Also, I liked that they offered me something to drink...they even offered me fruit! Wow, really? I declined because I had a huge Starbucks drink on my way there, but that's above and beyond. Anyway, this is a long drive away from home for me, but going forward this is definitely my go-to place. The other lady, I think she's the manager or owner, was super nice too! On my way out she also offered me something to drink or snack on--I declined again--but I love the thoughtfulness and/or care they have for clients! Truly, above and beyond. So yes, I'm going to wish I had kept my big mouth shut once it gets difficult to get an appointment, but they are so worth this 5-star review, I just had to tell everyone! read more

Do you want your salon to care about your business? If so, don't come here! I don't think my business means much here. I've had my cut and highlights done by Kathryn and Tabitha 3x and I loved the results. But in trying to make an appointment, the front desk girl said "we're booked this weekend, thanks for calling". I called back and asked for another appointment and clearly she pretended to make my appointment for the following weekend. But I realized I never got a reminder call. So I called to confirm my appt, and it turns out she NEVER made it. Luckily I called to confirm otherwise I would have never found out and would have shown up.... The front desk girl today asked if I wanted an appointment next weekend but I said I was out of town. THEN, she says "well, call us maybe later then." Oh no problem, La Belle Vous, there are lots of other Aveda salons around... Good luck with YOUR business. read more

TABITHA was great! I was referred by a friend and had to try this place. Everyone is very friendly and I loved my hair cut! My hair is medium length so I didn't want to take too much off and Tabitha listened. I'm so used to people ignoring what I say and chopping my hair off way shorter than I asked. So although I have never paid this much for a hair cut, i would say it's definitely worth the price. Quick tip: If you're paying with a card, tip can't be added so make sure you bring cash! My hair is very sensitive to dye and has dried out from nearly every place I've tried, but the Aveda products don't seem to cause problems so I came here. Fast forward over a year and I'm still coming here. Sweet, wonderful people do a fantastic job from the minute you walk in. They have herbal tea at the ready and start your treatment with a light massage. My hair color not only doesn't damage my hair, but Cindy has found the perfect shade to keep it from looking brassy. I even bring my preteen daughter here now because I know we'll get great service with products I can trust. (Try the deep conditioning treatment too - you won't be sorry!) read more

Everyone is very kind and friendly and it has a very relaxing atmosphere, also they use organic products.I am very picky when it comes to my hair and I've been to so many paces before but I've never gotten what I ask for. My favorite hairdresser is Karen, she's truly a professional and you can tell she doesn't do it just for the money, she's passionate about her work, she understands hair, colors, textures and honestly that's pretty hard to find!. The first time I came here I had some layers done, it looked amazing and even though my hair is growing it still looks pretty good! I also got a balayage from her and she did an amazing job!!! This place SUCKS! Terrible customer service. When we walked in (mom, sister and I) we weren't greeted by anybody not even the fake blonde sweeping. When she finally put down the broom she flew in on she just looked at us and finally said "do you need some help?". No we're just standing here for the hell of it. We asked for a cut and she said it would be an hour wait. I guess their "walk-ins welcome" sign is just for looks. I've been coming here for about 6 years now just haven't taken the time to write a review. I highly recommend it. They are always so welcoming and kind make you feel at home. They offer water, tea or coffee and always have fresh fruit available. All the stylists are wonderful but I get my haircut and color from Karen. She is amazing!!! She always gives me a shoulder massage first then prepares the color. Also gives a nice hand massage in between. The spa is family owned (mom and daughter) and is very clean. I just got my second hair cut by Nancy. I have long hair and had really grown out layers in December and she did a wonderful job getting my layers balanced out. It's so nice to have a wash and blow dry again. I just went back for another cut and came out just as pleased as my first cut. The price was $75 which to me, is more than reasonable for my long hair and full service. I'm looking forward to going back soon to get my eye brows waxed. A very welcoming and warm environment to be in. I have very unmanageable curly hair and was searching for a stylist that could help me in managing it and keeping a stylish look. I found this place and have been going for a couple of months now. My first experience was great. I was welcomed by someone not too long after I entered and offered water while I waited for my stylist to be available. The layout of store was very nice and upscale which definitely differentiates themselves from an ordinary haircut parlor. My stylist is Cindy, she's very nice, friendly, easy going, and definitely willing to listen to my needs before she does anything. The rest of the staff seems very friendly and polite. Cindy offers great advice and suggestions for me while educating me on my hair and methods of caring for it. This is now my all-time favorite Aveda salon. I love the casual and unpretentious atmosphere. Cindy is an excellent colorist and stylist. She listens to what you want, and has a great memory for how your hair behaves. I've had great results every time. The salon is a little tricky to find (it's on one end of a strip mall with a giant fitness center in the middle), but find it once and you'll never forget. Parking is a breeze in contrast to other San Jose Aveda salons. I'm very happy to have found this place! read more
