Shout out to my girl AmyJo. Had my haircut yesterday at Salon Mesh and I'm loving it. This is my first visit here. My stylist of 10 years decided to be a stay home Mom after she had her 2nd child. So I was in need of a new stylist. Everyone here is so friendly and casual; not pretentious what so ever. Tucked away in the Garden Theater in the quaint neighborhood of Willow Glen, this salon is super clean and the decor in the shop is swanky and sassy. I love it. The good and bad part about the location is the parking. There is parking behind Garden Theatre. However, depending on the time of day, there is not enough. I had my hair cut during the lunch break so I ended up parking in the neighboring street. Other than that, it's really convenient to have parking nearby. AmyJo listened to me and added her expert opinion on the style I wanted to try. 4 inches later....I have a new hair style I'm super happy with. I received lots of compliments at work today. I'm definitely coming back. Thanks AmyJo. read more

I haven't had a haircut I truly loved in years, and Erin completely changed that. She did a superb job. From the moment I sat down, she really listened to what I liked (and didn't like!) and somehow translated that into the perfect cut. My hair feels lighter, healthier, and actually styles the way I want it to. read more

Erin is absolutely amazing. She took the time to fix the extension disaster another salon had created and make my hair look and feel amazing. she does Invisible bead extensions and they were comfortable from the minute she put them in. read more

I highly recommend Montana she knows what she's doing and up-to-date on all the new things when it comes to hair!!! Today she did 2 tone blues!! She is the best and as you can see she does AWESOME work.... See you soon! Stay tuned for color updates. Who knows what's next read more

This salon is great but this review is really all about Wendy, my stylist. I went to another stylist and Wendy's former salon who wasn't talkative but very proficent. I watched as two of Wendy's clients from completely different walks of life had a blast with her. It was like they were hanging out with a long lost friend. I booked my next appointment with Wendy and that was two years ago. In all the time I have been Wendy's client I have always had great service, she was slightly delayed once, only fifteen minutes, and she texted me a heads up so I spent the extra time shopping nearby. She is so much fun and I always have a great time and end up with amazing hair. Her prices are very reasonable and she is always giving me little tips and tricks to make my hair healthier. Wendy rocks!!!! read more

So the Salon isn't open yet and I hate people who write reviews for places that aren't open, but trust me this is different. When reviewing a salon, you aren't really reviewing the salon experience so much, as you are the person who is cutting your hair, and with that said, I am reviewing this new joint because the stylists are AMAZING. Word is on the street that the salon is opening on May 1st. Erin, the owner and head stylist styled my hair for my best friend's wedding and she turned this big headed oaf into something gorgeous and classic. Wendy wen currently does my hurrr and she will be working there as well. I know first hand that these girls (and guys) have got it like Tiger's got ho's, like Jesse James' got Nazi chicks and like Cheeto dust on yo fingers after you had a bag. They are that good. Yuuuuuup! Definitely check this place out! read more

Ok, ok... I'll be the first dude to Yelp Mesh. I get my haircut there by Erica, and she does a splendid job! I've been going to her for a few years now, and she is an awesome chica. I was blown away to see what a beautiful job that Erin (the owner) did with the layout and decor of Mesh. It's bright, spacious and clean - and the stylists all seem to get along great. Nothing like having to watch "Jerseylicious" with my wife. I don't even need to wish them luck at Mesh. They are spot on, so they won't need it. read more

Be very careful. If you show up late they charge the full amount and won't take you. I was booked for a full highlight and cut. They texted me that I owed the money (more than a hundred bucks) but didn't text me to see if I was coming. I was there in under a half hour and they wouldn't even cut my hair! Yes I was late but that is no reason not to at least give me some of the service booked. They could have easily done a partial highlight. Right? read more

AHHH-mazing! This salon's decor is so cute, I feel as if I am being pampered and comfortable at the same time!. It has a a great energy! And my stylist, Wendy Wen, who I will follow to the ends of the world is funny sweet, and beyond talented. She really listens to what I want with my hair, discuss ideas, and uses products that leave my wavy hair very smooth! read more

Where do I begin!? I have been searching long and hard for a new salon that have similar laid back feel and talented hair stylist like Tangerine Hair Salon... finally my search ends here. My stylist Wendy creates magic. After each session of either color, cut, or both... the outcome is exactly what I wanted. Example 1. You know how when you look through magazines and there's this perfect color you want but you don't know how to describe it and the color never comes out right? Well, that was me before I found Wendy. I want this really rich chocolate yummy brown that doesn't look flat against my round head... well... Wendy made it happen. It looks so good that even when it fades out and gets lighter... I get so many compliments from people. Example 2. I am not good with styling my hair. Tell me to do a blowout whatever with a round comb? FOOOOORGET about it! But Wendy is able to suggest great products that helps me take care of limp dull hair and get them bouncy and sexy. Example 3. My job consist of dealing with sales reps and having being in sales before, there is nothing I find annoying than a sales pitch. I have been to places where the hair products are literally thrown in my face by stylist. Wendy is so naturally sweet and professional...I feel comfortable asking questions. If you want to experience first hand a great experience and professionalism.. go check out Wendy at Salon Mesh. read more

Salon Mesh is THE BEST! I've been going to the owner Erin for over 17 years !!! Erin makes me beautiful every time I leave!!! And catching up and laughing with Erin and Erica makes my days!! It is a child free salon, and as a mother I can appreciate and respect this. I enjoy an hour or two without my children or anyone else's, we all deserve a little pampering! Thank you to everyone that works at Salon Mesh for making it such an Amazing salon!! read more

Audra continues to do amazing work! I can't wait to book my next appointment. I've had her highlight and cut my hair several times now and have always loved it!! She knows what she's doing and gives her input which is helpful. read more

Pearl at Salon Mesh rocks the blondes! I've been seeing Pearl for a few years and love that she can take my drab ashy brown hair to a gorgeous blonde. Her highlight technique is the best I've had. She also gives a fantastic haircut. Over the past couple of years I've grown out my hair and she's been really good about listening and not cutting too much, just enough to keep my hair looking shiny and healthy. She's friendly, professional and super accommodating with scheduling, seriously she's the best! I love her spot at Mesh in the heart of Willow Glen...so convenient. Oh, Pearl has also given my husband and son great guy haircuts...I highly recommend her! read more

I have been going to Erica for about 9 years now and have always been so pleased with her services. From her amazing shampooing of my hair (her fingers are magical!) to her superior knowledge of color and technique, I have been 150% happy every time I leave her chair. She has a friendly and sweet personality and strives to always make her clients happy. I have referred many people to her, will always continue to do so and will follow that girl anywhere.....but I don't think I need to follow her anymore now that she has landed at Salon Mesh in San Jose. I am in love with the new salon! The vibe is fresh and funky and everyone in there has an amazing chemistry that you don't find often. Check it out & THANK YOU ERICA! read more

This review is for Audra, my girl. I've been going to Audra since I was 4 years old. I have followed her to whatever salon she goes to and refuse to go anywhere else. Audra has always cut my hair to perfection and the best thing is she always keeps it real. She is a hair expert and perfectionist and I couldn't thank her enough for all the hair cuts and highlights through the years. If you want an honest hairdresser who will always do your hair to perfection then you've got your girl. I've had so many friends and family come to her because she is the best of the best. I'll literally be going to her forever. Love you Audra!! read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE Audra, Amy-Jo and Jaclyn...They are always very sweet and nice with clients. They do magic with your hair and they are always very busy. I hear that other stylists are good too but I don't know them personally. BUT I would NOT go to ERICA...Very unprofessional...Has no respect for her clients. She manages her own schedule and you have to contact her directly so that she can ignore calls and never get back to people. Absolutely rude! If you are so particular about whose hair you are willing to do, at least, tell the person that you are fully booked. Don't hide and play weird games making up appointments and lie. I wonder where she learned how to do business. read more

Since I began dyeing my hair six years ago I've bounced between many different stylists and salons so what I was looking for this time was a home for my hair and I definitely found it with Pearl at Salon Mesh. The salon has a great vibe, light and fun, everyone is friendly and chatting and parking is super convenient. Pearl was AMAZING, she knew exactly what I wanted and helped steer me in the direction of what I didn't know I needed. She was working with a cut I had literally done myself by putting my hair in a ponytail and chopping it off and some significant roots, but she did a great job. My head is complete, thanks Pearl! In all, this was one of the best salon experiences I've ever had and I will definitely be back read more

Ridiculous. I've been going to the same salon for 10 years and ready for a change. I was early for a nearby appointment, so I thought I'd step and check it out and ask for a consultation. Granted it was 6:00 (closes at 7:00), but there were four people standing around and they loftily told me there was no one available, but get this, would I like to make an appointment for tomorrow? Tried to give them a chance, I said "this is an opportunity for a new client if someone has five minutes to talk to me". They were slightly more polite (patronizing) about turning me down, still, what a way to run a business! Great way to generate new customers guys. Not! Would give zero stars if possible. I rarely write any reviews, much less negative ones, but I've got to make an exception here. read more

I was visiting the area and was in desperate need of immediate hair therapy!! I called and got an appointment with Amyjo ( a new stylist at the salon) right away. First of all, she is so hot! Looks just like any one of my girlfriends and makes you feel comfortable right away with her sweet demeanor. She knew exactly what I was looking for upon hearing my hair history. I have gotten the brazilian blow out before and thought I liked it... until she introduced me to Keratin!! ommg its amazing! my hair is soo soft and easy to style. The frizz is completely gone and the treatment has lasted now for weeks with no change! I'm so happy for Amyjo and Keratin! I cant wait to come back and visit so I can make an appt with my new friend! :) read more

I decided I was overdue for a haircut and dye, and decided to use Yelp to find a new hair salon. I came across Salon Mesh, and they were able to fit me in the same day. I was lucky to be assigned to Katie. Katie gave me the best haircut I have ever been given! I have naturally curly hair that just kind of hangs, unless I spend tons of time on it. Katie gave me a cut that has lots of pretty layers and bounce. I absolutely love it and I've received tons of compliments on it! I also really liked the feel of Salon Mesh. It doesn't feel overly frou frou, and it has a very comfortable atmosphere. read more

Erica is awesome! I love my Ombre hair color and have been getting so many compliments. I have been seeing Erica for over 6 years and she has always taken such great care of my both my cut & color. I appreciate her attention to detail and she's always down for trying new fun styles. Thanks Erica for taking care of my hair. read more

Love love love my stylist AmyJo... she is new here and I would follow her anywhere for her talent, vision, and fresh take on cut and color. She has taken me from long ombre locks to an angled crop that has been almost every color in between blonde, red, and brown : ) She always listens to my needs and crazy wants before providing me with knowledgeable feedback and intuition. read more

I recommended Wendy to one of my customers who was new in town and didn't know a thing about San Jose. Five Stars because she came back glowing about what a wonderful recommendation I'd made, and she'd counted on my opinion and I didn't steer her wrong. read more

Salon Mesh has the cutest interior design! It's a mixture of modern and vintage style. There are so much artistic designs in the salon, makes you feel like your getting your hair did while there's an art show! One of the nice things about this salon is the fact that it's located in Willow Glen. There's so much to do before and after your appointment. The salon is see through! you can window shop for your stylists :) All the hair stylists have their own styles which is cool. It's not your typical stylists with perfect hair thats like plastic, they've all got different hair-do's! Instead of flipping through the countless hair-do magazines, this really helped me envision what my next hair-do might be. My hairstylist Wendy is amazing. She's super talented and personable. She has given me so many hair dos in the past. I do give her a hard time by wanting black hair and then wanting highlights. (hairstylists don't like coloring your hair black) Before making rash decisions, she explains to you that there are possibilities of damaging your hair if you do certain things to your hair. I respected her concerns but i really wanted my blue highlights so i told her to go head and gimme BLUE HAIR! :D I ended up LOVING IT but slowly it did fade and you have to keep up with touch-ups. I didn't want to keep damaging my hair so the next time... I told her to chop it off! She seriously gave me the most amazing hair cut. it was clean and sophisticated! She gave me so many tips on how to style my hair so I don't get bored of it too quickly. If you seriously need a make over, get over to Salon Mesh and they will take care of you! read more

Its always challenging to find the right hairstylist when you move to a new city. I've been seeing AmyJo for some time now. She is so sweet and super knowledgable about hair [color, cut..]. She takes the time to listen, discuss the options and gives enough input so the right hair decision is reached. Just a great experience with her every time! I do wish she took later in the day appointments. read more

Vince at Salon Mesh has been my hairdresser for over 20 years and does an AMAZING job! He does excellent work and specializes in color. I get compliments about my hair on a regular basis, not only from people I know, but total strangers! They tell me how gorgeous my hair looks.... The next question is usually, "Is it real?" When I say no, the response is always, "Wow, it looks real!" Salon Mesh is a cute shop conveniently located in Willow Glen. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Vince and Salon Mesh. You will NOT be disappointed! read more

Had my first hair appointment at Salon Mesh with Wendy yesterday and she did an amazing job! I have A LOT of gray and she took the time to talk me through exactly what I wanted for a color and a haircut. She literally stopped me in my train of thoughts and speaking when she was washing my hair. She massaged my scalp so good I would of thought I was in heaven! I'm super picky and I walked out of there with the best color match and a great haircut! I couldn't of been happier. Plus Salon Mesh is an adorable salon, comfortable, clean and they carry great products too. Thanks Wendy! I'll be back! read more

This review is mainly for Vince who knows how to cut and color fine hair like a magician! I have followed Vince for many years (over 15) and he does not disappoint. He always keeps on top of the latest and greatest products and has given me some really good product recommendations. He also always explains how to use the products so you can recreate your style at home. Recently he used a new color on me that is fantastic! It DOES NOT fade!! I am in love with it. If you want a color specialist or just an updated cut you need to see Vince! He can transform you like no else can. read more

Hooray! I love this salon! The location is great, vibe is fun & positive, and my amazing hair dresser, Pearl, is here! This review is for Pearl. She is a hair dresser that loves my curls, and in return....my curls love me! I have very curly, frizz-prone, blonde hair. Pearl really embraces my curls. I have been to many hair dressers; many of them unsure of how to handle my curls, and frequently straightening my hair. Not Pearl. She gives an incredible curly girl hair cut, does incredible with color, then teaches me how to style. She uses a hair clipping technique when styling that makes the curls look frizz-free, styled, and beautiful. Coming to Pearl is always an uplifting and positive experience for me and my curls! Pearl is a one-of-a-kind hair dresser that makes my curls come alive! (in a good way!) Thanks Pearl, can't wait to see you soon! read more

AmyJo is amazing! She takes time to listen while I explain what I want my hair to look like. I've been going to her for about 3 years, and always walk away happy! read more
