The place is small and has seating outdoors, you can order online ahead of time or at the kiosk there. I got the citron honey sandwich ($9) my fiancé got the nabeyaki udon ($15). They will text you when the food is ready. My sandwich was fresh bread was slightly sweet and similar to Japanese toast. It was a bit too much ketchup for me but the veggies were fresh and chicken was cooked well. The worker did not communicate with us whether or not they would take the food to us or we would have to wait in the restaurant. So I just stood in the restaurant waiting for the food. They stayed in the back kitchen and I had to signal to them through the window to ask them a question. There's no seating inside but there is a nice patio that is shared with the other restaurants in the plaza. The cucumber and the tomato do a good job in adding freshness to the house sandwich although the bread was on the sweeter side. The basil egg pancake had a more chewy texture and was cooked but felt more doughy. Definitely recommend basil if you like the taste. The soy milk tasted like it had added sweetener and only had slight soy milk taste. Might not be the best portion or value for one dish if you're hungry but tastey meal. read more

This place used to be better with customer service but now it has gone quite down the hill. They no longer want to talk to you at the counter, you have to input everything in the iPad yourself and if you have any questions the one standing at the counter does not want to offer help. I went in to pick up an online order placed 15-20 min ago and was about time for it to be ready, I tried to get the counter guys attention and finally was able to ask if my order was ready, he asked for my name and I told him, then he replied we don't have that person on the order. I showed him my order receipt online, then magically looking exactly at the same stash he found it (sure, it was right in front of you) Ok, so on the online order you can specify sweetness and ice level, I ordered for 4 people so I wasn't gonna open all the bags to check, but when I got back, none of the drinks were labeled, we had 4 types of drinks and different levels, none of them had any label on them I had to guess and sip on the drink to know which one was mine and guess which one was others. How can you possibly miss that..? The only reason I gave it two stars was that the sandwich was decent, but they no longer will cut it in half for you. I used to really like this place, but that was when it first opened. I remember it had such an authentic, homey, Taiwanese cafe feel to it, with a lady who knew everything about the awesome menu. But when I visited recently, the atmosphere and drinks were different in a not-so-good way :/ The shop got revamped to look more modern, with updated decor and self-service kiosks. Which is fine. However, my latest experience left me feeling meh. The young barista was most likely a part-timer who didn't seem to care too much about the work, and she didn't quite shine in the customer service department. No greeting upon walking in, no ability (or urge) to help with my questions about the differences between certain drinks, no solid recommendations offered. And sadly, my drink seemed like it was lazily made. It also did not taste yummy - it was strangely extremely herbal for a black tea drink. Maybe I'll try the old fashioned series next time, which was my fave many years ago. I'm bummed because I do want to try the breakfast foods but don't want to be let down so hard again. There was no indoor seating, but there were tables and chairs in the courtyard next to the shop. We tried the House BBQ Pork Egg Pancake 高雄燒肉蛋餅 and House BBQ Pork Toast 高雄燒肉蛋吐司. The toast was actually a sandwich made with thick slice of bread. The flavors were homey and on point; a bite into the food brought us back to the breakfast shops in Taiwan. The "toast" was quite filling, so the price was fairly reasonable. We enjoyed the food and flavor, but some of the items were out of stock when we went (weekday 11am). Parking: Luxweet is located in a small plaza. It shares a parking lot with several other stores. Parking was not difficult to find. Exterior: There is an common outdoor patio area where people can sit. Interior: The store is quite small. Most of the space is taken up by the kitchen. There was a small bar area by the windows where we can stand but it gets pretty crowded. Service: There was only one person at the cashier and bring out all the food. She was pretty efficient and did not seem to get overwhelmed when it got busy. I placed my order with her and picked up my order on my own when it was ready. Food: I ordered the House BBQ Pork Toast and Original Taiwanese Style Egg Pancake with a Earl Grey Milk Tea with Boba. The House BBQ Toast was delicious. The bread is not the typical milk bread that we usually get in Asian bakeries like JJ or 85C. It was thicker and fluffier and I heard that it was their own recipe and baked fresh daily. The Taiwanese Style Egg Pancake was also very good. It was not too oily or overcooked and came with a side of sweet cucumbers. The Earl Grey Milk Tea was okay. I tried Luxweet for the first time this past weekend. When I got there around 10am there was no line to order but there were several groups waiting at the plaza tables right outside. Most of the food was ready fairly quickly, but the guo bao was freshly steamed and took about 15 minutes to be ready. For the food itself, I wasn't particularly impressed with either the House BBQ Pork or Korean Kimchi Pork Belly toasts, which felt like they were predominantly bread. The egg pancake I thought was fine, although my sister really liked it. The Guo Bao was probably my favorite of the food but wasn't worth the price. For the drinks, we got a Black Sesame milk tea as well as an Osmanthus Oolong tea, both with boba. The milk tea/tea themselves were ok, but the boba was overly mushy. Pork belly rice - the pork belly was a little cold. The Chinese menu calls this "pork belly lu rou fan" but there were no lu rou (minced pork) in the fan (rice) and I felt a little cheated on... Egg pancake with pork and basil - super yummy. Loved how tender the pork was. Reminds me a little of the type of pork in pork bulgogi at kbbq. The basil flavor was delicious. I am not sure paying $1.25+ extra for add on is really worthwhile and that will just depend on individual. T1: Toast - House BBQ Pork (egg, tomato, cucumber, mayonnaise, pepper, ketchup - $7.45): I personally think the toast was a bit pricey and you can find a downsized version of similar toast in hole-in-a-wall Taiwanese bakeries (like Ellie's Cathy Bakery in Arcadia) near the San Gabriel Valley (SGV) area. I had L'uxweet bookmarked for a while, and decided to try it with a friend who was visiting and staying in Orange, next to Tustin. The café is not very big, but is cute. The menu has more savory options + drinks than you might expect. There are no seats for indoor dining but there are some tables outside and one of the speakers near the tables is operated by L'uxweet so you can listen to Taiwanese pop music while you eat. Ordering at the counter was easy and they give you a buzzer. It did take a while for the food to be ready (made to order food), but nothing horrible, maybe 15-20 minutes. The food was very tasty overall. The egg pancakes (蛋餅) are quite large and filled with meat, so definitely a good value for the price. The dough is very chewy (in Taiwan we say "Q"). The gyoza were a bit soft for my tastes, as I was expecting potstickers. The bao was yummy with a fatty piece of pork belly, and the seafood porridge was very seafoody. My only gripe was that the seafood porridge was mostly different fish cakes/balls instead of fresh seafood, though two head-on shrimp were included. Their porridge is more watery in consistency than thick (think 稀飯 as opposed to 粥), but did come piping hot. I also ordered a wintermelon soymilk with boba, which was an interesting combination. Off of the recommendation of a friend, most of my company ordered an egg pancake, I specifically ordered the house bbq pork which was delicious, and the cute little container had more food than you would've imagined! My order itself was under $10, which is a steal for food prices nowadays. They have other yummy items too like milk tea and black pepper toast which I'll def be back to try out.
