I just had a wonderful pleasant Russian salesperson help me put together a beautiful elegant bridal shower gift box. The products she showed me smelled so pleasant and calming . The bride to be is a nurse and she'll absolutely enjoy the products that were recommended. I bought a couple of things myself. This brand reminds me of how beautiful Paris is and the beautiful French women I met there. Some of the products were very affordable that anyone could buy them and pamper themselves. Highly recommend this shop located in Bellevue Square Mall. Will definitely come back and try more products. The shimmering body oil smelled so nice and light . Five stars for the L'Occitane products, but this location has staff that either could not care less about helping customers OR they are so aggressive with their sales, that it's obvious they are working on commission. This location is the closest to where I live for my skincare products from L'Occitane. Personally, I am a huge fan of the lavender collection, as the lotions and creams have the perfect lavender scent and you don't need much to moisturize and treat your skin. A little bit goes a long way with all L'Occitane products. It's pricey, but the products here are high-quality items made in France. But I've never had the best customer experience while shopping here. Once I visited and the salesperson was so aggressive with trying to sell me products that I did not want to buy or had any desire in learning more about. She would also ask me the kind of products I usually buy from L'Occitane and would recommend more expensive or larger sizes, which I assume is just to make a bigger sale? Seemed like she was on commission. But in my most recent visit the salesperson was talking to his friend who was in the store, so when I tried to ask if there was more stock in the back of a specific item I wanted, he would tell me to hold on, and he just continued conversing with his friend. Wtf? Always a very weird experience with the staff here. From all the L'Occitane locations, again, this is the most convenient to me since it's in downtown Bellevue. And fortunately, since I've been using the products for years I know what to come in for and can avoid the staff. But if you're looking for some assistance or more information about the products, be weary of the staff here because you'll get the extremes - someone who wants to help you so much, in hopes you'll spend a lot of money or someone who does not care about helping you. read more

My mother-in-law also had a bad experience as well, totaling 4 experiences. They barely check with you, typically all standing behind the cash wrap and talk to each other until you ask them a question. I've worked in Bellevue Square mall for 5+ years myself so it's not like i'm clueless, all of which has been retail management... Say "hi," or at least help customers.... I loved their products I was taken by them when I was in dallas airport in the centurion lounge, taking a shower , I had the shampoo, lotion , it was all great. but I dread going to the Bellevue store, if I need something maybe I'll wait till u village or downtown or go without, the service put of ten is 2, the person there doesnt ask or greet when you come in, they dont ask if your a member, just credit or cash. if the online store was more reliable I would never enter the Bellevue store again. read more

Even though I'm reviewing the Bell Square L'Occitane store, I'm certain that my observations would be the same at the Pacific Place L'Occitane, or at ANY of their locations in the Seattle area (and probably beyond). I recently discovered this store (within the past year). And I love it! I had been hesitant to try out this place in the past, and honestly, I felt no real need to, as all my lotion/potion fixes had been met by Bath & Body Works or the Body Shop. And, don't get me wrong, I love these other lotion/potion stores, too! But L'Occitane fits the bill when I want to indulge myself with something special, or get a special gift for someone. Thier merchandise is higher end quality than the other stores, the creams are much richer, the packaging and wrapping is gorgeous, and the products are from France. So, yes, they all DO cost more. But they're more indulgent. It's like comparing a nice Gap sweater to a cashmere Norstrom's sweater. They both serve their own purposes, but of course you'd expect to pay more for the cashmere and the Nordie's experience and packaging. Back to L'Occitane.... their hand creams are known to be the best around, for good reason. Super thick, and now in a variety of scents. There's a lovely lavender line of products; I'm partial to the almond line. Oh, the men's products are amazing! My hubby is super-picky about scents and products, claiming most are too floral/frou-frou/wierd for guys. But L'Occitane has this scent, the "L'Occitan eau de Toilette" that he went nuts for (first time ever, for a scent). It's a complex, nutty, peppery, smoky, lavender-y scent (sorry, I'm not good at describing scents that well!). Anyhow, it's wonderful. And my mom tells me that my father (who's in his 80s) also loves this scent (which is so wierd for my dad!). I can only theorize that this is a great scent that is popular with men of all ages. It really is special. I've ordered sets online and they ship them with incredible bonuses for me, at no charge. I love the foot shea cream from L'Occitane. It is heaven. At $20+ a tube, it is well worth it. It feels like you're putting gold on your feet, especially when you have ones like me that have a chronic illness. Attention all friends and family: If you ever wonder what to give me for my birthday or Christmas, buy me some hand or foot shea cream from here. The employee who helped me was really fast in greeting me and ringing me up. You can save yourself some dollars by going to the outlet mall in Marysville by the Tulalip Casino. I love L'Occitane but the workers at this store are extremely annoying! Every time I come here there would be one person following me around or standing beside me while I browse for products, and another one staring from afar (from behind the counter, for instance). They would never let me just browse alone or read the descriptions and ingredients on the bottles myself. Whenever I pick something up, a sales associate would always start going "so this is the new cream, it's has a lavender aroma but no added fragrances, it's good for moisturizing and fortifying, it's best to be applied in the morning, yada yada yada." Then they would apply some cream or lotion on my hand and make me feel like I need to buy at least one because they've already let me test them out. More than once I said I am only looking at the new products because I will have someone buy them for me in France (cheaper + tax refunds = significant price difference when I'm buying a lot), and the sales associates were unhappy about it. This is the store I go to to get the L'Occitane products I love, so I'm hoping upper management can fix their customer service soon. read more

My husband and I were in the store just sometime back and we were given the most appalling customer service by Emily. The tone and body language of her was extremely rude indicating no professionalism or decent customer service. When asked about help as I didn't receive a product from another Loccitane store from a recent purchase, she said that it is not their problem as it's not their store that sold it. When asked if she can call the store for us, she said that she doesn't work for us. The disgust and anger that came from her attitude indicates the arrogance and mistrust in customers. Our goal was to resolve the issue right there in the store, but she refused to help us. Kept on saying that she had to look after other customers, when there was no soul in the store except for us. I asked for Store Manager name and Emily said that I can google it and walked off. Loccitane, time to hire better sales reps who mean to help customers and not mistreat their loyal customer base. read more

I definitely recommend this L'Occitane store. It might get crowded during holidays, and it takes some time for me to get a chance to find someone whom I can talk with. However, when it's not, the customer service is exceptional. In particular, Michael is very friendly and knowledgeable. My doctor told me to quit using Ivory soap because it dries my skin. My wife suggested another "pure" soap from L'Occitane. I don't want all the fragrances and BS. She was right, they have a very good gentle soap that does not have any of the BS. But why is it so expensive. It's just soap. read more

They are not very customer friendly. I wanted to exchange a product given to me for a gift certificate but they do not allow that as does every other store that I have returned products to. And when I had less than 2 dollars left over they would not give cash back, so I either had to have a 2 dollar credit or spend more money. There is nothing that you can get there for less than $15. I recently purchased a few creams for face and body, in my seeming never ending quest to allay my very dry skin. No matter what, the shea butter face cream "leached" into my eyes, rendering my vision rather fuzzy for a few hours. Even after following the instructions from two different sales people to not put the cream around the eye area. So I returned it. At that time, I purchased the Ultra Rich Body Cream Rich in Shea Butter. It did nothing better than the very rich lotion that I mix myself, using straight shea butter (melted) with shea butter lotion that I buy in bulk from PCC. I can vary the mixture to be more or less heavy. This is a really economical way to get rich shea butter lotion. The L'Occitaine product is way over-packaged. Now that I used it up, I see that the container is perhaps 1/4" thick all around, of plastic. Come on, guys! And you purport to be a sustainable company? Not in this case. The L'Occitaine product is also quite expensive. I've never spent even close to that for body lotion. Thought I'd give it a try to see if more $$ equals better results. Nope. I also decided to try some shea lip balm. It too is over packaged. The cap goes all the way down the shaft of the tube. Like a lipstick. Every other lip balm I've ever bought or seen has a simple cap. And for the price, I didn't think it any better than the less expensive and I'm sure equal quality balms I've bought at PCC. I will say that all of the sales people in the Bellevue Square store that I have now visited 3 times were very helpful, friendly, and not solicitous as some other reviewers mentioned.
