I made another Sephora stop. I try to stop at different locations to make each purchase a unique experience while shopping for beauty products I don't normally get. This has proved to be a fun experiment for sure! Service and set up is about the same as any other location but what really pushed me into five star category for this is getting the Maison Louis Marie No. 09 Vallée de Farney cologne. Out of the several products I have tried under my belt while doing this deodorant and cologne binge shopping I am on this cologne has been one of my favorites so far. It has a nice spicy and clean scent which I just really have gotten enthralled with. If I got this particular product at any other Sephora I would push it into five star category then too simply for carrying this awesome brand and product. I look forward to getting more of this scent by purchasing more of it and exploring their other colognes as well. read more

I've been wanting the travel kit for when I'm staying overnight to do some housesitting. I found the mini set by Tatcha, and I've wanted also to try their items, so I decided to go for it. Genuinely the worst experience I have ever had in this store. Waited in line for less than a minute, the girl checking people out (black hair, short, maybe Hispanic?) was EXTREMELY rude. When I contacted customer service they could not give me a definitive answer. None of the free sample nor the offer that I requested are reflective in my order. I came to the store to do a return and Kayla the manager on duty was very rude I had a return that was approved by Carissa over the phone on Saturday 4/4 that I can come in on Monday 4/6 since the store would be closed due to Easter and she would refund me. Kayla would only approve store credit although Carissa approved the return back to my original payment stating she ( Kayla ) has been with the company for 4 years and that Carissa is new and does not know the policy which I explained to her that is not my problem for her to know or not know her job and that was not stated to me over the phone. Kayla kept disregarding me and when I asked her for her name and a pen to write it would not do so and I had to go ask Mariana another associate for a pen where Kayla tried to talk the associate of giving me a pen or her name for me to write it down since I expressed I did not like her customer service and will not come to this location by how poorly I was treated and dismissed as a rouge customer. I got a gift card and after using it I will take my business elsewhere. Her level of unprofessionalism should not be accepted at such a family friendly and beauty location where people like myself enjoyed shopping at Sephora and the products it brings. Leaving a review for the 60 minute full face make up service I received from Carson. Carson was phenomenal. I was a bit nervous going into the appt. It's a busy store, and I don't get my make up done often. I was worried I was going to be rushed out and wasn't sure what to expect quality wise. But Carson was great from the very beginning. They listened to my ideas and what I was going for, they assured me it was a collaborative process and that I could speak up at any time. They kept the conversation going and talked me through every step, and helped me to understand my own skin better. They asked questions along the way and made me feel like I could speak up if I didn't like something. I felt like they really cared and their attention was so great. Best of all my makeup lasted ALL NIGHT. I got it done at 12:15 and was nervous because the event didn't start until 4. But the look lasted through an outdoor ceremony in direct sunlight, dinner and dancing. Carson hit it out of the park and I can't wait to go back and get a make up lesson from them. I usually know what I'm doing in here but since it was my first time at this location, I couldn't locate one of the brands. I stopped in earlier in the week and had such a great experience! I'm usually an Ulta gal but I think I might have been converted to a Sephora gal after my visit! I was looking to replace some of my basics and had some questions about applying certain products. I expressed these needs to the lady at the door and she passed me along to Daseray. Wow, I honestly cannot say enough good things about this girl! She answered all of my questions and gave me amazing recommendations. On top of that, they came across as educated recommendations and not just personal ones. She would suggest a product and back it up with all of this info. Like, WOW! If you've never been to Sephora there's like thousands of products in there so to know so much, I was impressed! It's been a few days now and I have taken her advice and used the products and they all have been working out great! Plus, some of my issues with application seem to have been resolved. YAY! One thing that was tricky was that I was unable to try on any of the product. I was a bit skeptical at first but she did a great job matching me without trying the product on. Lastly, thinking back, the whole staff was very friendly! When I was waiting in line, there was a bit of a "difficult" customer in front of me and they took care of it very professionally. I normally visit the downtown Seattle Sephora location for all my makeup needs. And it can get really busy in there--packed, in fact, with tourists. But for the most part, it's still tolerable. This U Village location, on the other hand, I'm not sure I can tolerate. It's busy, sure... but I'm not sure it's necessarily any busier than downtown. It's just you're already stressed by the traffic getting there... then from meandering your way through crowds of people seemingly just standing around and hanging outside, not paying attention to anyone around them. And by the time you get yourself inside this Sephora, you've reached your patience level and it's just not fun anymore. At least, not for me... So, I went through all this trouble to get to this Sephora and they didn't have 5 out of the 7 things I went in for. And this isn't a knock on their customer service at all. Had such an amazing experience at this store today. I Picked out an expensive perfume set because on the store display it said it was $30. I proceeded to check out and when they scanned it it said $112 and I made sure that it was.. and I informed them that on the price tag it said it was $112. They went to check it out and it indeed said it was $30 so the nice man who was working "honored" my purchase and changed the price of the perfume from $112 to $35 simply because they marked it wrong on the display so it was "their mistake". This is my third time here at this Sephora. I usually go to Bellevue or Alderwood Mall Sephoras. I was looking for a particular DDF eye cream and this was the only store that said they had it in stock so off I went for the long drive to the U district Sephora. So after arriving I was told they made a mistake and they didn't have it either! So...I decided well I am here so I was shopping around and half the testers were gone. The ones that were there were pretty grungy! I asked for a hair product I know they carry and no one working there knew what I was talking about so I ended up showing them and telling them about it! It was funny they said hey ya want a job!! Sigh...gave it 3 stars because of the faux pas & the store was kind of a mess. I DO love Sephora though and as my sister said... order online!! Okay, so I haven't worn makeup since the 1980s, but wanted to buy a basic foundation for work photos so I don't look like a ghost with rosacea. This was my first Sephora experience. The gal at the door doing Covid-19 monitoring was great at communicating wait times to those of us in line. She asked if we needed any specific help, then directed us to the correct section as soon as we were let in the door. The sales guy who helped me pick the right type and shade of foundation was awesome! He explained how certain varieties of makeup work better in photographs. Per my request. he steered me to a fragrance-free, organic line. The whole process was quick, painless, friendly, and efficient. If I need makeup again in another 40 years, I'll be back! read more

What happened to Sephora?! This new location sucks so intensely! I came in to pick up a brown Stilla eyeliner that I've been getting for years. They sell it online, but apparently only in black at this location. Many items seemed out of stock, I had a hard time finding an alternative that would at least somewhat resemble the Stilla one. The most frustrating thing was that there seemed to be more staff members than there were customers at the time I walked in (about 1pm on Tuesday), but I was desperately looking for someone to notice my struggle to find things and offer help, or say a simple "hello". None of that! I circled the store several time, trying to make eye contact with any one of the employees, all of them turning their head the other way as soon as they saw me. What the hell is going on?!!! I decided to just go with Sephora brand pencil, since I couldn't find an alternative. Before leaving, I wanted to grab some samples of products I've been wanting to try. Again, I was left in this Sephora desert, all circling around me quickly and ignoring me so artfully. I tried this side, that side, desperately searching for a fave that would stop for at least a second to notice that I need help. Nope....Off to the checkout I go...The girl at the checkout was super nice, as they always are, and after I lightly expressed my disappointment of not being able to find anyone to make me samples, she promptly found someone to take care of it for me. Unfortunately, the damage had been done already. Get your shit together, Sephora! This is exactly why no one wants to go to this location unless they're new in town or urgently need a product without having to wait for it to be shipped. HATE this store! The sales people are unbearable. I purposely stopped for 3 months because the sales pressure was so bad it was claustrophobic. Just went back today and it's even WORSE. I had SIX people approach me in under 10min.....basically a new person come after me in each new section I moved to. After the 4th, I voiced my frustration to the associate who was mice enough to tell me she'd tell everyone to simmer down. After that I immediately had 2 more people. Been here twice in a week's period of time, AH CHRISTMAS SHOPPING, and before that... I can't remember when the last time I was in any of the Sephora locations. I can say this is one of the smaller shops compared to other ones I have been in, but they still had what I was looking for. Even during the busy holiday season, service was great. Took me 10 minutes max to get in, ask where what I was looking for was at, pay and get out. While at the register, they are very helpful and very patient and both times with a smile on their face. Even for a girl who doesn't consider herself a girly girl (one that has her bathroom cabinet packed with lotions and potions, mine is packed with Band-Aids and burn ointments) this place is great to get what is needed for the people in your life that do like those things. read more

I loves me some Sephora! They have good lipstick. Sephora brand- $10! They carry my husbands secret weapon: Jonathan Dirt. (Don't tell him I told you, it's supposed to be a secret). It makes him smell like almonds.
