Months after purchase... no hard wear
    J S.

    (1) I bought 6 shells over the past year (2) loved them... I got a transplant in September and they totally helped me (3) 2 of the 6 shells decomposed in weeks... holes ... tears... (4) I went to LL Bean today to ask as about the 2 faulty shells.... I brought all 6 to demonstrate my ask... this is 4 and here are 2 (5) I am inside all the time since the transplant... I am not stressing the footing AT ALL, I went to legacy place at 9:30 am. Today. Here is what happened: "do you have a receipt? There is no item tag on this one... the other one that had failed is days past your warranty... I cannot help you." I gave her my phone number ... she looked up my account and saw all 6 purchases... "yah... tanks for playing" I was a happy customer ... never again Thank you.

Very disappointed with my return experience today at LLBean in dedham. Attempted to return a $170 winter jacket Xmas gift. Wore it once, then noticed a rip/hole in shoulder with fiber fill sticking out. See pics. No lifetime guarantee here. Told me it was accidental damage. Sold me an $8 repair kit. Not willing to discuss the possibility that LLBean had any responsibility for the failure of garment. Didn't stand behind quality of the product.

While I have not been able to visit the flagship store in Maine; the Dedham, MA location is quite large compared to CT locations. We needed to grab some last-minute essentials while we were on vacation. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. There were some items we had trouble finding and it was very easy to find a store associate to help us. Checkout lines moved fairly quickly, parking however was a little tricky.

Always liked this place since it's closest one I can get to aside from the flagship store in Maine.

The Dedham store is small compared to the Freeport, ME store(s), but its larger than the Mansfield store.

He took one look at my partner, and knew *exactly* what size trousers and blazer he took. Richie has a fantastic eye for color (he saw great combinations that I didn't see, and I'm an artist! Lol) he is absolutely an asset to this organization. (we went in there, looking for one blazer, and we walked out with three blazers, two turtleneck sweaters, and a pair of trousers. He's a major revenue generator! I hope he's being recognized as such.) If you need help there, ask for him! He's really really good

Don't get me wrong, the salesman was very helpful pulling sizes and giving great advice. The tailor was also knowledgeable and did a good and was friendly. Things however went quickly south when we got to the cashier to pay. To say that the young woman at the register was rude as an understatement. There was not only a lack of basic retail service skills, but the young woman's attitude was borderline hostile. Basic questions about the breakdown of the charges and any discounts we might be able to take advantage of were met with rolled eyes, huffing, and puffing...at one point she literally walked away and starting ringing up another customer! I've worked retail and know it's a tough job, but this is NOT who you behave with customers, especially when we were nothing but courteous. K&G, do better with vetting, hiring, and training your staff! This was absolutely ridiculous. I'm angry that I had to interact with this person and your company should be ashamed to employ someone like that.

The sales section is large, a whole back room, but no matter what day I come, it appears picked over and anemic. The sizes tend to be heavy on the XL and the XS, with not much variety in the middle. The staff are distant, but generally non-offensive. My boyfriend, however, experienced a unreasonably poor service moment last Saturday. A sales woman told him that J Crew was having a "private sale" event that would guarantee him 75% off summer suits, if he opened a J Crew credit card. Boyfriend, not needing a suit but enticed by such a fantastic deal, tried on, and subsequently fell in love with a linen, navy suit. He confirmed with the sales lady again that it would be 75% off. When said boyfriend attempted to purchase the suit - he was rudely rebuffed by the cashier/manager. Boyfriend explained that he confirmed the deal with the the sales woman, but cashier behaved as though my boyfriend was trying to pull a fast one. He did not call over the cashier, and he scolded my boyfriend for believing such a sale would ever exist. Needless to say, no suit was purchased. Pro tip: generally credit card offer deals gain you about 30% off purchase, so if offered more, ask to speak to a manager before you become emotionally connected to the garment in question. Fluky Saturday aside, this store generally is pretty good. J Crew seems to be having a ton more sales recently, ever since their stock listing price plummeted, and their clothes have gotten a lot more adventurous and bohemian in recent months. This store is generally more peaceful and quiet then some of their more urban situated stores.

Oakley : an often misunderstood brand with a passionate following…read more This store is great to see 'all things Oakley' and to buy them Now, a lot of people think Oakley makes just sunglasses. Although they do make some of the best and most cutting edge, they make a lot more. And everything else they make has the same level of engineering, design and quality in it that the sunglasses do. A Great example of this is the watches (and I do own 7 of them). People look at them and say " wow, so expensive, just because it says Oakley'. Well, expensive (which is relative when it comes to watches) do to engineering and design and constructions. Sapphire crystal faces that are scratch proof, swiss made, jewel like movement and 32,000 adjustments a second (A rolex uses 24,000 movements). They are over engineered and have very unique styling. They will last you a lifetime and you will rarely see another one like it. Leaps and bounds ahead of the likes of Citizen, and on par (if not better) than Tag... So now that this review is starting to seem like a review of Oakley, and not this store, I will switch over a little. This store has everything. Only about 20% of what is in there are sunglasses, but they have it all, including spare parts, spare lenses, etc for your current glasses. They have clothes, luggage, accessories, bags and more. Go in and check it out. Backpacks for school. Yes, may be $85... but I have had one for 12 years now. no Jansport can claim that. The staff is friendly and very helpful. they explain everything if you dont understand it. I even went in with two sets of glasses one day (Jawbones, which have a pivoting frame to change lenses), and they took them apart, cleaned them, made sure they were working fine, all at no cost. Much more than just sunglasses, Oakley as a whole offers unique styling, as you are now seeing on everyone from pro golfers to Olympic athletes. Go check them out. For golf shoes, for suitcases, for bathing suits and more. You will be pleasantly surprised when you walk in the store, at the staff, at the selection, and at the overall quality of everything they design, engineer and sell.
