The store is great but just a warning do not ever purchase a gift card online. I placed an order online on Dec 7th and never received it. Had to call twice and both times spent 20 mins on the phone with AI bots followed by a representative who was very difficult to hear or understand and kept putting me on hold before telling me I should wait another week. By Dec 24th I asked for a refund and am still unsure that I will get one as I never received any email confirmation of the promised refund. Just a major waste of my time and energy. read more

2020 Pandemic Review Thank you, DSW, for realizing that not all your customers feel comfortable to step indoors just yet while the pandemic is in full swing (there is currently an estimated over 90,000 active covid cases in our state at this very moment). Thank you for obtaining permission for your customers to pull over into the fire lane to do curbside pick up and returns. Thank you also for extending your return policy. Not ready to hand over the 5th star cause of my general past in-person experience at this location. Although it has now been about a year since I've stepped through your doors, historically, I couldn't help but be aware of how messy your aisles often were. Yes, your customers should have returned the shoes to the appropriate shelves when they were done with checking them out, but unfortunately not everyone plays the part of a responsible adult when out in public. So it would be nice to be able to spot a staffer here or there organizing or restocking sometimes, instead of primarily only being able to locate your workers over by the registers. read more

Huge selection, limited sizes and a really apathetic staff. When I walked in I was bombarded by about six (seriously) employees all wanting me yo sign up for their email program. When I told them I already was they disappeared. When I actually needed someone to help me, no one was in sight. I had to wander over to apparell, literally on the other side of the store. I love shoes. If i could buy as many shoes as i want then whole money that i earn i would spend on shoes. Two years ago i find this nice store next to my house. There's tones of shoes. Very big selection, reasonable prices, always s great sales, good quality of shoes, friendly stuff. But unfortunately time change and everything around too. Went there couple week s ago and got a bit disappointed. Couldn't find the right size. Instead of leather shoes they have a lot of synthetic. And the prices grew up a lot. They use to have lover prices the Marshall or TJ MAX. Don't know what happened. Maybe that was a bad week fashion. Still it's a good place to buy shoes. It's hard to get comfortable shoes when you have wide feet. Nate was a great help. Very patient, suggesting options, measuring my feet, checking the DSW web site for wider options, boxing up and returning the countless shoes I tried on. After quite a while, he helped me find what I wanted. While checking out, Brianna was very helpful and stepped right in to ensure my transaction was done correctly. DSW is one of the handy shops located in the Dedham mall. The selection is pretty good and I have bought leather boots, work shoes, Sean's new snow/hiking boots, tights, a wallet, sneakers, and my wedding shoes there over the years. They also send out coupons and special offers by mail and email. Great salespeople. No hassle returns if you ever have to make them, if the shoes are unworn of course. read more

I'm sorry for probably misspelling her name but THANK YOU SHAKANAH! I went to DSW on a last minute mission for heals for a wedding, and I honestly had no idea what I was doing. Shakanah stayed with me for about a half hour, looked at how the shoes fit, thankfully told me I should go for another size, called another store and stayed on hold with them, made sure they set aside two different sizes for me. She was just such a joy and so helpful and I would definitely be either without shoes or with shoes two sizes two big if it wasn't for her. THANK YOU THANK YOU! read more

The store itself is fantastic. There's an enormous selection of shoes and an extensive clearance section. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well for my fiancé. There is a much more limited selection for men, but still enough to find some nice shoes. I'm rating the parking differently, because DSW didn't design the mall. It's awful-if hell was a parking lot it would function a lot like this one! It no joke looks like a toddler designed it with a crayon and then an architect said "f**k it, lets go with this". There is a tiny intersection where cars have to go to enter and leave and it acts as a perfect 'bottleneck'. The parking is also limited in general. It blows my mind why they wouldn't design other exits, unless they designed it to prevent you from leaving. All this to say the store is fantastic, but expect to spend 10 minutes trying to get into the lot and 5-7 more looking for a parking spot. read more

This place is HUGE. More shoes than, anywhere! I just came back and they completely redid this store since my last visit. Mikayla was super friendly and helpful, and helped me into their rewards system (she even filled out the entire sign up sheet for me!), and made my experience to the Dedham location superior. Another employee in the clearance section was also incredibly kind and helpful when I was looking for flip flops, even though they are out of season (always buy flip flops out of season, but I have way TOO many, and not enough shoes, barely any). Anyway, the store in general was superior in organization, cleanliness, and show selection, as well as having a wonderful inventory of each shoe (almost every size for every shoe is incredible!). Overall, I will be purchasing more shoes from this DSW and not other places I have shopped in the past. Super happy with this great, local store. They have a lot of great shoes at pretty good prices. I agree with the previous review stating that the sizes available was not so great. The prices are good but you can get better prices at shoebuy.com. Unfortunately, you cannot touch, feel, try on, and really see what you are buying at shoebuy until it shows up at your house. DSW is a good alternative. They also have a lot of socks, bags, and other smaller accessories. Guys: Don't make the mistake I made by going here with your lady.
