An unmitigated disaster of a store. The place is completely trashed, looks like no one ever cleans up. Long lines that never move with difficult customers making trouble for clueless cashiers. Absentee management merchandise all over the floor. Don't waste your time going there. read more

This place is hard to shop. The tags don't match the size you are looking for half the time. It's aggravating and annoying. The lines are always winding around the length of the registers and can take a long time before you check out. Sometimes not worth it. Lots of times I get items home only to discover damages like holes or stains which you have to get in line for again to make returns. It's really a hit or miss situation shopping there. I see people getting caught steeling and they just take the items back to kick them out instead of calling the police. It's really bizarre. As I right this review I'm wondering why I even shop there. Big headache just thinking about it. I've even been stuck with the pins that are security tags to the point where I was bleeding. Yes there are some items you may get a deal on but be prepared for the battle zone shopping there. I've seen management down employees and act childish slamming stuff around like a pouting child. So awkward of a behavior for an adult. read more

This location was the dirtiest and messiest store I have ever visited. The items all over the floor near check out add to the atmosphere of carelessness and neglect. Also they do not provide public bathrooms. Staff was considerate but I'm puzzled why employees would stand around goofing off while the store was so very messy. This is the messiest and dirtiest retail store I have ever been in... in my entire life. it's a complete disaster. There are things all over the floor... piles of merchandise. I've watched the employees just throw things in the shelf...no order. I was there yesterday and I waited in line to check out about 30-35min. This store is pure chaos. the dressing rooms are closed... I assume because they don't have the staffing to keep them open? I've never seen a store in this bad shape... I'm not sure who is managing it but they couldn't be doing a worse job. I went there months ago and it was the same... complete disarray. Burlington Coat Factory just opened in October 2019 at the former Toys R Us / Linens and Things space at the Dedham Mall on Providence Highway in Dedham. It's about time... I, for one, have been waiting for a Burlington Coat Factory to open in the area. The closest stores are all at least thirty minutes away, so this new one is certainly convenient for the nearby area. I was also happy to see that the store was giving a large donation to the Dedham Public Schools upon opening. I was very impressed with the merchandise, selection, and availability here. If you have never been to a Burlington Coat Factory before, it's just like Marshalls and TJ Maxx in that they have a random variety of clothing from various companies. It's honestly designer products at discounted prices. With other department stores, you can certainly get a good deal with coupons and rewards programs and such at certain times of the year and for certain sales, but these types of stores have the best savings for every day (and you don't have to do any homework of figuring out when things are on sale, etc). Department store shoppers will certainly understand what I mean when I say that I neglect shopping Macy's or Kohl's sometimes due to needing to do so many calculations of rewards and Kohl's Cash / Macy's Money to figure out whether I am getting the best deal. Regardless, I was happy with everything I was able to find here since the shelves really did appear to be fully stocked and merchandised well. In comparison, Burlington Coat Factory opened a location at the Westgate Mall in Brockton last year, and they opened with aisles completely empty with no merchandise. Almost half of that store was bare just a few weeks into the opening. It's been about a month since this store opened, and it's still full. I actually witnessed even more people stocking even more new stuff upon visiting. Now, my only complaint would be for the company from a broadened perspective (which is why this complaint is not reflected in my rating). Burlington Coat Factory should in fact be opening in large facilities as they once did. Many of the older (and best) locations, such as my favorite location with racks and racks and racks of clothing in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, are ginormous. The newer stores, such as this one, are considerably smaller. Anyway, the staff seemed friendly and interested in helping customers find what they were looking for or needed. I'm happy to have another store like this in the area and will certainly be coming back in the future. Happy they are in Dedham and that the Dedham Mall is re-cooperating from the loss of both Sears and Toys R Us. So far, I'm really liking both Burlington Coat and At Home. 5 stars. Definitely suggested to at least check out. read more

Good selection of clothing, unfortunately I drove all the way there to find out the fitting room was closed. There was a hand written closed sign taped up. When I asked an employee why it was closed, she responded "I don't know, it's been closed since I got to work". Maybe as an employee, you should find out what's going on in your store? Spent 30 minutes browsing only to leave everything and walk out. Definitely won't be returning. read more

This Burlington needs to step up their staffing game if they hope to keep customers coming back. I visited a couple of weeks after it opened, and was encouraged that the Dedham Mall parking-lot was full for once. Upon entering, however, it was utter chaos. The place was in a shambles and people just threw stuff any damn where when they were done looking at it. kids all over the place, unsupervised, screaming, Maybe it's not Burlington's fault, I dunno. Maybe it was just full of curious people checking out the place. I chose one item and went to stand in the looooong line. The girl ahead of me sort of turned and we met eyes...she mouthed "never again". I was not alone in my thinking. After about 15 minutes in line, I was next to move to the "next available cashier" when the open register number was called. I was almost there when a woman who was with a friend at the register just before mine peeled off and stepped in front of me. My cashier didn't even bat an eye. WTF?! Then, when I finally did get to a register, it was the one closest to the door. THREE times my transaction was interrupted by rude people just walking up asking her questions. Management needs to get control of this place or they will lose alot of potential local customers. I'd rather drive to Natick than go to this one ever again. read more

This burlington is so disgusting if I could give zero stars I would. I travel to burlingtons because I love them so much and where I live the closet one is an hour and a half away so I've been to over 10 different locations on the regular and I love them all expect this one. It is a complete mess. The toy isle shelves were filled but so was the floor to the point u can't even walk pillows lined the floors clothes all on the top and underneath the racks making it hard to shop i watched loss prevention and workers just kick the stuff out of the way instead of clean it. At first I thought it was maybe just the toy isle cause you know kids but it was the whole store that was like this im honestly shocked that not only that management allows the store to look this way but also that customer's really do this to a store its that bad . I will never return to this location but Please don't not let this devastating mess of a store stop u from visiting the many other amazing burlingtons out there because the deals are amazing and great value for your money read more

Upon grand opening i was excited for this local-location. Upon shopping experience, the rudest most stress inducing shopping experience ever. The customers are Ruthless and ignorant. Parents don't supervise theor children. Store claims to get new shipments every day yet the rack were barren when tried a second time shopping there with the same items they had upon grand opening. Perfume selection limited and lousy. Clothing selselection mited and lousy. Having a security guard for intimidation at front made for a lousy shopping experience. Not made for a pleasurable shopping experience at all. I prefer the Braintree and revere location read more

The staff are so mean and lazy very slow when it's busy they should have more staff been waiting in the line more than 30 minutes

Just went there last night , and it's clear a lot of people got there stimulus check and out shopping I guess. You think the store would have been ready for the rush/business? NOPE! Store was in need of a serious pick up. Don't know if it's for the lack of staff or just lazy staff. Line seem to move pretty quickly. But social distancing didn't seem importing, As other guess kept walking the opposite direction of the line to go back and shop more or hand things off to others. No social distance at all. Cashier was nice, folded the clothes nicely, put them in the bag. Walking out, alarm is being set off by everyone who is walking out. And I mean Everyone. But the lady demands that me and my family stop. Hmmmmm ok. Takes all my stuff out of my bag, touch everything. Not wearing gloves. And then after making a mess of my stuff , goes to throw it all back in my bag. The whole time she doesn't even have you mask up and over her nose and mouth mind you. I leave and get in the car, make a call to the store to talk to a manger. A woman answered and stated she would get the manger, but clearly didn't know how to put me on whole. As I heard her talk trash about me and the fact I wanted to talk to a manger, which another individual responded. "O we are to busy for that , hang up.". And they hung up on me. I bought a MK coat for my 12 year old for $99.99 on 11/08/19 and she wore it for the first time this past Friday 12/06/19 and the coat got ripped under the arm. I didn't have the receipt with me anymore but since I paid with my debit card I thought they could look it up for me. The cashier didn't want to help me and I asked her to call her supervisor and she didn't help me either. Then I asked for the manager of the store and he didn't even let me explain what the situation was. He was very rude and told me that my daughter can wear the coat like that. I don't think this is very professional of a store manager speak to the customer the way he did. I shop at Burlington very often but I will never shop from this Dedham store anymore. Then I went to the Braintree store and they helped me without asking me anything. I will contact Corporate to let them know how rude this new store people are to their loyal customers. read more
