The staff is so helpful and patient - From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and a true sense that the staff want to know how they can help. My most recent trip I had the privilege to work with Anne who brought me a variety of shoes and listened to my feedback. As they always do, she also had me walk in the shoes so she could assess my gait and how my leg looked walking in the shoes. The staff often consult one another and have another set of eyes and can tell just by squatting down to watch you walk that certain shoes are better than others. While the prices may seem high, the truth is that high quality shoes are just expensive and PR Running is competitively priced with the manufacturer websites. They also almost always have a sale rack where you can sometimes find your size! I have been buying shoes here for over ten years! I love to support this small business and hope they continue to thrive in a world of online shopping and big box stores.

Even though they were all helping other customers, each person made the effort to greet me and let me know they'd be with me shortly, which I really appreciated. I had the chance to work with Rich, and he was fantastic! He pulled up a chair so we could talk about my running goals and then did a gait assessment to better understand my stride and foot type. Based on that, he selected a shoe for me to try, then had me go outside for a quick jog so he could make sure it was the right fit. I really liked how he kept my running goals in mind while also making sure the shoes worked for my feet specifically. I left the store with a perfect pair of running shoes and couldn't be more excited to continue my running journey with the right support under my feet. Highly recommend PR Running to anyone looking for knowledgeable staff, excellent customer service, and a personalized experience!

Not sure why some folks are trying to treat this like a Wal-Mart, its a local boutique with two locations. I don't expect a year long warranty on an accessory, its called life. What a time to also support a local business and save your feet/back from problems down the road from wearing shoes that are really just terrible for your health. Enjoy and happy shopping!

I really did not need shoes for this trip, but I saw the most perfect pair of lightweight leather slides that I need for a different trip later this year. The saleswoman was so helpful in assisting me to try the shoes, and informed me how to ensure that slides will stay on the foot, giving me a little pad for each shoe. I was wondering how I would get them home in my already full suitcase. I was musing aloud about having to press the shoes together, and leave their box behind. She offered to have them shipped, at my cost. I was very happy to accept that offer, because these are expensive shoes, over $200, and they deserve to be treated properly. And then....I was directed upstairs to the sale area!! Wow!!! Terrific styles and prices! I will most definitely return to Footstock when I visit my friends in the area again. An absolute gem of a shoe store! Thank you for all of your care.

First of all, the customer service factor was through the roof. We were the only customers for about 15 minutes. During that time one of the owners (a genuinely charming husband-and wife team) measured her foot, suggested styles she might like and spoke knowledgeably about - what else? comfortable shoes! Once the line of customers started rolling in, he and his wife handled each person with care and courtesy. I was surprised at how many people are out looking for what `are - let's be frank - old lady shoes. I was also surprised at how many times I looked at a style and said, "I'd actually wear that one!" Propet, Asics, New Balance, Aetrex, Drew, Foamtreads - you name it, they have a comfortable shoe for men & women in every size from the narrowest to widest. Dressy, casual, running and walking shoes are all here. Granted, we're talking mostly shades of black, brown or cream but still if your feet are looking to be cushioned, cossetted or float along - go here! They will get down on the floor like shoe people used to do, measure for your exact sze, regardless of what you THINK it is, and find you a pair of shoes to fit perfectly. We spent 90 minutes while Mum tried on pair after pair, walked around the store and debated the merits of brown vs. brown vs cognac vs. brown. They were patient, pleasant and encouraged her to take her time!! Have you been to a retail environment lately where (1) a person wanted to help you, (2) was patient and understanding, (3) didn't leave you to work things out for yourself? The back wall was lined with all the orthotics you could want to make your shoe feel perfect. I fondled the pretty laces longer than I really should have and almost bought a pair of woven fabric oxfords that, in my defense you really have to see to appreciate. I'm not going to be here every week, but we walked out with exactly one pair of shoes that aren't ugly, are casual and sporty-looking, weren't overpriced and are most definitely comfortable. These are professional shoe peeps who know their styles and are willing to go the extra mile to make a customer for life. Go here and feel appreciated!
