The absolute worse service in the entire world. We were ignored for 30 minutes after calling first. The manager just ignored us and took someone before us after we were waiting for 20 minutes with a very active toddler running around it was not easy. Do not go here if you have a toddler and want even remotely decent service. I will never come back and tell everyone to never come here. read more

After misspending hundreds on ill-fitting shoes, I finally followed my podiatrist's recommendation to have my feet sized by a professional, a seasoned adult at an old-school Mom and Pop shoe store. He sent me to Michelson's in Natick, conveniently around the corner. I met a marvelous woman who measured my feet, and brought my selections to try. Bingo! Super comfy Danskos. I've found foot relief. The prices are reasonable too, and they don't just have my Mum's styles, they have cool ones too. read more

After buying multiple pairs of boots and shoes over the years from Michelson's Shoes in Needham, we were recently dismayed when they refused to accept the return of one of the two pair of shoes we recently bought there. (To their credit they did accept the unworn pair). However, even though the right shoe of one of the pairs felt fine in the store, it nevertheless abraided the top of her foot after wearing that pair all day for one day at work. Its understandable that the store cannot accept shoes that have been worn as they can neither resell nor return them to the manufacturer. On the other hand, they also didn't offer any concession, leaving us with paying them $130 for something we can't use. We'll never do business with them again. read more

Very helpful staff. The selection was very good. Michelson's has a second store. If the Needham store doesn't have just the right size, they can often bring it over from #2. This is the sort of place where you may well buy two of a very good shoe. I've done that with their great Ecco sandles. You cannot go wrong buying your shoes at Michelson's. Period. read more

This store in Needham was recommended by my primary care doctor, as well as my Podiatrist. I found Adam to be very attentive and he found a few different shoes for me to try on after he carefully measured my foot. I haven't had that much attention from a store attendant in a long time, and I really appreciated it. I will be going back soon. read more

Honestly the only shoe store on the planet I can walk into and walk right out of with shoes that fit, most stores cut out at size 10 for women and michelson's always has 11's. The salespeople are also incredibly helpful, someone always grabs you from the moment you walk in and helps you find exactly what you need. She even put different inserts in my shoes so my heels wouldn't pop out the back when I walked, which is life changing for me haha. I'm an online shopper kind of gal but I was so impressed that she customized my shoes like that that I fully think going in to Michealson's is better than online shopping if you have a very specific need in mind like work shoes read more

I love the service at this store. It's been a long time since I've had someone put on and tie my shoes for me. They are also very knowledgeable about the small differences in the sneakers depending on your needs. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because the selection of shoes is a little bit limited but that is to be expected in a shoe store. read more

I grew up in Needham, and my parents loved this store. I recently moved back to the area with my family and my daughters needed some shoes. My wife and I brought them to the store on a Thursday. It was empty, 2 salespeople more or less ignored us and went on to other things. I was eventually approached by a salesman asking me if I needed help, I explained that my wife and daughters needed shoes. The salesman was obviously less than thrilled, but measured my daughters feet and went to go get them shoes. On his way back he took a while to take a call on his cell phone. None of the shoes fit. He explained that my daughters had difficult feet (even though we've bought many shoes without issue before). He made another trip into the stock room for more shoes for them to try, and took another call on his cellphone. Almost 10 minutes later, he returned with 1 box of shoes and said he could "maybe order something if we wanted as long as it was still available". We declined. My wife then asked about trying a pair of sandals. Again, the salesman took quite a while and when he returned, he apologized for taking so long. He explained that he is having a new home built and that he often has to take calls about it. He then explained how much this house costs, why his retired wife wants him to continue working, how he wishes he could just go now and so on and so on. Isn't there a time and place? To summarize it all, my daughters didn't get anything. We bought sneakers and sandals for them at the mall later that day. My wife ended up buying a pair of sandals she liked. Our salesperson was pleasant enough, but far from professional. He didn't seem very willing to expend much effort on my daughters, and only seemed willing to expend more effort on my wife when she was willing to listen to him vent about his new home and the issues that surround it. We may shop here again, but hopefully with a different salesman. read more

Beware of shotty business practices at Michelson's. If you ever purchased a Spenco Foot Care Insole from them, you may have purchased the wrong product for your particular foot, knee, back or neck condition. The sad part is that Michelson's does not feel responsible for giving you bad or no advice and are glad to sell you something that may be a bad match. Furthermore, if you try to return the product, you will not get a refund from them. They will send you packing to the post office to pay more money to request your money back, What a sham and a shame that a store like has such a lack of caring for the good people of Needham and the surrounding area. The other bad part is that MDs from BIDMC are sending people to Michelson's for help and this is what they get. Shame on them. Someone should report them to Spenco, BIDMC and Town Hall for an investigation. Perhaps then, they will become the responsible business owners we expect them to be. read more

Excellent customer service, something you don't find much these days. Took my toddler in after being frustrated too many times by Stride Rite...one of the salespeople came right over to us, measured both her feet and made great suggestions. He really knew what he was doing. A+ experience! read more
