Diane is truly fabulous and provides such an amazing community service by owning and running Second Glance so well. The store is clean and organized. The merchandise and pricing are wonderful. At first I was searching for a unique place to hold a 10 year old's birthday party. I decided to…read moretake my two daughter's to see what they thought. We ended up walking thru the store and finding all kinds of interesting beads. One daughter came to me to show me these magnetic beads and my other daughter at the same time brought me a magnetic bracelet and we all looked at each other intrigued with the possibilities. We asked Lydia the owner about the bracelet and offered for us to make it in the store. Lydia took both girls ages 8 & 9 years old thru the steps and the girls spent an hour and a half or a little more figuring out the beads they wanted to use, pattern and colors and actually beading the wire. Lydia was great. Very passionate and knowledgeable. Overall we were there over 2 hours between walking the store and picking and making our bracelets. Now fast forward and we just celebrated our daughter's 10th birthday and all 14 girls enjoyed themselves. They can't wait to go to school and show off their bracelets! Lydia and her assistant Lynn were great. Overall it went well and the parents were raving at the quality and beauty of the girls bracelets. We will be back to learn how to make other bracelet styles. Nice electronic display of what they sell on the wall behind the counter. Friendly staff. Was told they grow all thier own product for MA in MA. That's the law can't import over state lines. Accessories can come from anywhere. Their roster of flower strains seemed average but certainly good enough to grab something tasty which I did. Acid Dough a straight sativa strain checking in at a whopping 26 %. Liked the added Boost humidity regulator packet that was in the cannister. First time I've encountered that added bit of value and its very cool. At there was about 6 customers however I counted 9 employees. 1 outside door, 1 at door, 1 at inner door, 1 on floor and 5 behind counter. The place is built out to handle traffic and maybe they were expecting it to be busy. Pretty chill vibe. I engaged in a lengthy conversation with Jeremy about all sorts of things including cannabis. One drawback, it's cash only at this time. Was not noted on website or on any store signage. When I went to pay with my card I was then informed at counter. I had to back away and hit one of the 2 ATM's there. But certainly all in all a pretty good experience. I might even convince my future kids that this is Six Flags. And yes, if you haven't guessed, this was my first time visiting Bass Pro Shops. There is a lot of cool stuff, and everything is well organized. They have outdoor cooking machines, water bottles, boats, camouflage gear, and yes, lots and lots of fishing gear and equipment. Since we were mainly there for a fishing rod and line, we focused our time on the lower level, but I could not resist the urge of admiring the fish in the large tank for a few minutes. When I turned the corner, I saw turtles, and I of course thought they were fake, but no, they were very real. I also watched them for a couple minutes. I recruited the help of one of their employees, Jeff, to help my friend find a rod that met his needs. Jeff was very patient with us the whole time, especially since we had lots of questions and are very little knowledge. We ended up buying a rod, a reel, and some fishing line. Jeff offered loading the line onto the reel with a machine they have and of course we accepted. Even though I don't fish, being in the environment and seeing so much gear planted a little seed in me, so we'll see if it ever sprouts. For now, I will be planning another visit with more time to check out what else they have.
