There is also parking across the street. First off, the girl checking me in was incredibly kind and friendly. There are cubbies to put your stuff in as soon as you enter the space. They have a little spot to hand out in around the room that looks super cozy with plenty of yoga books to browse. There is coffee and water for purchase on the side. Yelp bestie Bea and I took the Thursday 7:300pm Hot HIIT Pilates fusion class. You are required to bring your own mat or rent one for $2. You can go barefoot or use Pilates socks. The Pilates room with the projector is very cool and relaxing. I have never been to a studio like this. As for the class: Right off the bat, the warms ups had my arms sore! We later moved into stretches and using the weighted balls to do the various exercises. The instructor is great- she kept the energy up and challenged us in a great way! We did everything from core, legs, glutes, biceps, triceps. I enjoyed the full body workout. We received lavender cooling towels in the end which I loved! I will definitely be coming back!

There's no shower, water cooler/refill station, or even small touches like a small dry, absorbent sweat towels to use during class, so I always have to make sure I bring enough water from home. With Lifetime right around the corner offering many classes including hot yoga along with amenities like towels, water refill stations, saunas, and showers etc for a comparable monthly cost, it does make me reconsider the value of my membership here. I'm sharing this because I genuinely want to stay! If the studio added even a few of these small amenities-especially a water refill station/ small towel-it would make a huge difference. She is passionate, insightful and engaging which makes her classes very enjoyable and we certainly get a lot out of them. The style of Yoga is called Iyengar Yoga and in class we utilize a lot of different props which help you attain the proper poses even if you are not that flexible to begin with so don't be intimidated to try it out. On a side note, my wife wanted to try Yoga because she has heard about its many benefits and wanted a low impact exercise to stay active. I was mainly interested in developing more flexibility and learning to breath better which I have but have also been pleasantly surprised that I sleep better and also lingering back pain that I've had beforehand have disappeared. The studio's rates are pretty reasonable but also watch out for groupon promotions which is how we started.

She comes off as rude, like she is in a rush or something. I personally did not mind, but I could see other people getting thrown off by it. On the bright side, she puts a lot of emphasis on achieving the poses in the proper form, she does demonstrations for every single position, which is great for beginners. It was too slow paced for me. This coupled with her uneasy jumpy attitude did not work for me. But it could definitely work for others. Give it a try, I guess.
