This past month,  I completed my 200 hour teacher training with Soul Practice Yoga. This was something I always dreamed of doing because I love yoga, but I was not sure about teaching adults. I worked with a community of amazing teachers led by Sally who were flexible, supportive, inspiring and so knowledgeable about all yoga has to offer. The schedule was perfect for a working mom and the teachers taught the areas that resonated with them. It showed through their expertise and passion! They were always approachable and open to giving more than what was in the training manual! This experience taught me the value of being a life long learner and not to be afraid to try something new. There is joy to be found in hard work,  being a beginner and doing something totally out of your comfort zone. I taught my first adult yoga class and, after I got a handle on my nerves, I ended up loving it! Yoga has always been there for me throughout this past year whenever I needed it to calm my mind, give me strength and bring me happiness. I am motivated to keep growing to be able to share the JOY I feel while  practicing yoga with the people around me! THANK YOU Sally and my yoga sisters for making this dream a reality! Almost two years ago, after years of trying, I finally convinced my mom (in her eighties) to try a yoga class at her local library. She LOVED it! I contacted the instructor, Sally, and my brother and I bought our mom sessions at Soul Practice Yoga Studio for Mother's Day. Mom has been practicing there regularly ever since. My daughter and I have commented on her improved posture and confidence, as well as her more positive attitude when life's inconveniences happen. Last week I conspired with Sally to surprise my mom and join her practice at the studio. What a wonderful experience!!! Mom was thrilled and so was I. Sally was everything my mom had described and more. Her genuinely warm and nurturing demeanor, along with her lovely peaceful studio, combined to create a truly delightful practice. I can't say enough about how lucky I feel to have found Soul Practice Yoga and Sally. As a student in the Yoga Teacher Training program, I never could have expected how much this certification would impact not only my career, but how I live my life. There are so many YTT programs out there, but I am beyond grateful to have found one that feels so personal and authentic to a true yogic lifestyle, teaching me so much about the integrity of the practice beyond the postures. I just finished my 200hr YTT with Sally, it was the best experience I could have asked for. I've been practicing yoga for over 10 years now, and have practiced in many different studios all over NYC. In 2018 I decided I wanted to complete my 200hr YTT but struggled to find a studio I felt would be a good fit. I took a couple of Hatha outdoor classes with Sally back in 2015, and really enjoyed them. She is thorough, gentle, and hands-on at times, which is helpful. I LOVE her classes! Sally's yoga class was beautiful. It was exactly what I needed as I continue to recover from shoulder injury. Not too intensive but still challenging enough to make me feel amazing. She guides the class perfectly and is attentive to each person's level. There is no judgement just aceptance and love. I was reluctant to try yoga due to my plus size and age (65+). I went to Sally for chair yoga and she is totally nonjudgmental and is very patient. She works within my limits and stretches them when she feels I'm ready. Her voice is very calming and when you finish a session any tension you felt beforehand has magically disappeared. read more

I rediscovered yoga through Sally's small group of yogis and yoginis during an outdoor practice. She is very attentive to her class and guides you till the end of the session. I always end up renewed, calmed and energized after each savasana. Inversions and crow poses are my favorite. Her OM studio is serene and tranquil. read more
