I actually don't think I've ever taken a class with Mandy, but have heard fantastic things about her from almost everyone who comes. My friend has quoted Mandy's sage advice: "You don't mess with the gods or your knees." I would consider myself an advanced beginner and used to challenge myself to the level II/III class on Tuesday evenings. My work and their class schedule have since changed, but I'll still try to drop in whenever our schedules align. Most recently, I've been hitting up the community yoga classes on Fridays at 7:30. They are taught by teachers in training, and there is almost always a great vibe in the studio. As fellow Yelpers have mentioned, parking in both the adjoining lot and the municipal lot across the street can get a bit tricky. Either come early or plan to park on a side street. Either way, this place is completely worth it.

She takes her time with you and explains each move and how it helps your organs and or limbs. She starts her classes by asking you what's bothering you so you can work on it for that session. It doesn't matter if its physical or mental. She knows the moves for everything. :) I've been taking her group classes for a little over a year now and although my schedule only permits Saturday's I look forward to my weekly session. Her voice is angelic and she moves like an Angel. What I love the most is, I can come to Sally stressed and leave her Studio feeling like I'm floating on air smiling like the Joker from Batman. There's something so calming about aerial yoga which is why I wanted to try it in the first place and the Sukha Arts center is definitely a great place to check out! Whether you're looking to do something new or lose weight, they offer a variety of classes from Candlelit Aerial Yoga to Aerial Dance Fitness! They even offer family yoga! I attended the class called Stretch on a few occasions. The teacher does not demonstrate the poses…read moreso it is difficult to follow. The students all look at one another to see if someone knows what she means for example by 'left food strap' or 'shoulder against the wall'. I was hoping for a little more active instruction. Also, the instructor had personal conversations with some students during the class, which I found strange. Overall not a very good experience.
