CGI Fitness is a very nice facility located in Closter, New Jersey. It has cardio machines, and enough nautilus type machines to provide a fine full body workout. Its locker facilities are outstanding: saunas, hot tub, cold tub, and a very relaxing oxygen room which helps me sleep like a baby when I use it. This gym emphasizes cleanliness and it is always spotless. CGI's staff members are all pleasant, friendly, and extremely cooperative. CGI Holistic Fitness & Spa is amazing! The staff is so thoughtful and kind! The place is always very calm and clean, wonderful locker rooms with luxurious saunas and tubs (cold/ hot) as well as a massive pool for lap swimming. Everything is always cleaned and well-maintained. The studio gym is perfect for an intimate effective workout experience. You don't have to worry about anyone on top of you or large crowds. Their spa services are amazing and easy to book worth every penny. I recommend the Guinot facial, which is relaxing and perfect for a self care day. Overall a wonderful place. The Management Team were attentive, honest and professional back in day. I was considering to become a member once again perhaps in the near future. Unfortunately however, this facility have changed tremendously. Be vigilance in observing your surroundings as well as The Current Management Team. A bit Dated; a Haven for 60+ retirees. At a hefty 4 digit annual membership price tag and a Daily Rate of $60 for Full Day. This gym is located in Bergen County's affluent community of Closter. However, what you find here can also be found in NYC's Chinatown or Koreatown. Here are the few things I liked about the gym, with condition: 1. Holistic, Eastern Medicine Approach 2.Their most praised Pool, it's 25m; ionized (NO clorine); heated at 86°. Condition: it reminded me of my early swim day's at The Y. 3. Sauna Rooms - Himalayan Salt and Infrared Room. The idea of having both of these wow me but the decor and overall feeling of being inside them make me feel unrelaxed and un-Wowed about it. 4. Hot Tub and Cool Pool - added bonuses. Upon leaving the facility, decided to grab a smoothie at the Cafe [oooh, sounds nice right - WRONG!!]. I order a Berry Bouquet BUT what I was served was a crushed ice slurpee with chunky tasteless berries. My mom ordered a Detox Juice, made of Ginger beets Apple lemon. But what it came out looking like was Swamp Water lol... her drinks ingredients separated and foamed up. Those concoctions costs us $14. I'm on my way to check out Sojo in Edgewater. read more

The Chocolate Macadamia facial is AMAZING!! This facial is plant based and my skin is refreshed, soft, and hydrated. I am glowing!! I have very sensitive skin and suffer from psoriasis and I HIGHLY recommend! It's currently on special for Valentine's Day!! The esthetician, Jiyoung, made me feel super comfortable and explained how it all worked beforehand. I have had many facials but this by far was the very BEST!! Don't expect anything even close to what you paid for. This place is double the membership fee of Equinox in the city. A small gym with old equipment, some of them almost like antiques - in this day of age, to find a gym like this is mind boggling and also given the size of the building, the gym itself is very unimpressive. The a few time i was there, the pool was really crowded. Talking to some long term members, they say its a lot crowder than it used to be, and overall this place used to be a 'serenity', now it's close to a 'chaos'. As far as the sauna, steam room and hot tubs, each time I went there the facility are very clean. However, there was one time I found that neither the hot tub or the cold tub was at the right temperature, not sure if thats the case oftenly.. New to the area, I'm already thinking about checking out other places/facilities and hope to find something more suitable. The bottom line is, I don't mind joining an expansive gym/health club, but i want to get what i paid for. Period. read more

This place deserves 6 stars and more. They have it all! Fitness center, Korean style spa with heated rooms, Yoga and taichi center, massage, swimming pool... need I go on? The fitness center is a little on the small side, but I find that I only use a few things on any given day and its not too crowded. I love love love the spa side. Ever since experiencing my first jjimjilbang (Korean style spa/sauna) I can never be satisfied with just the American wet/dry sauna. I need a hot tub, a warm tub AND a cold tub. And I need heated rooms. With amazing minerals and stones like jade and charcoal and rock salt. They have it here! The area has a strong Korean community, and much of the staff speaks Korean as well as English. Please go check this place out and get rejuvenated. And then thank me. :-) read more

Amazing services, attentive and thorough! The facial was incredible and extremely relaxing. My favorite part was the cold and hot tubs. Spent an afternoon in the pool & spa and absolutely loved it! It is the perfect place to chill for an afternoon. The whole area is spotless, they have a wet & dry sauna, as well as an infrared and salt room. Perfect to relax and recharge. The whole vibe is completely zen. The entire facility is clean and the entire staff is friendly! I look forward to having yoga class with Master Marni on Wednesdays, definitely feel a change in my body and energy after using the belly button healing technique. I wanted to get my father into Tai Chi so I came here for a class and while getting my father to commit to a plan, I ended up really loving how the class and the people there made me feel. I now have included many techniques learned from class into my daily routines and it has improved my life very positively in the short time I have been going to CGI. This place is amazing! I've gotten two massages here and I had use of the facilities before and after. They let you use the saunas, hot and cold soaking tubs, and showers. They provide robes, towels, and lockers. They also have blow dryers, lotions, spray deodorant, and more for when you're done at the spa. :) The salt sauna is my favorite. The hot tub is nice too. If you are not open to nudity, though, this place is not for you. They have separate men's and women's facilities, so almost nobody wears clothing when going in the hot/cold tubs or saunas. I got my massages from Kristin both times. She is friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. And she gives a great massage! I also took a free healing class here and it was so nice. Master Jay and Master Nicole are positive and super friendly! They taught me all about energy and how you can heal yourself. I will definitely be back! read more

This review is for the Spa only. Massage by Kirsten was amazing and I would give her 5 stars. However, I wouldn't consider this place a spa at all...more like a glorified gym. I was expecting to have the typical spa experience where I am greeted by the receptionist, given a tour of the facilities and provided a robe, slippers and a beverage. Basically I was given a key to a locker and pointed in the right direction. I had to ask the gym members where to find robes and towels. Also, the locker room was packed and there was a whole lotta chatter going on. Not my idea of a relaxing environment. I put that aside and was looking forward to hitting the steam room, sauna, and hot pool. To my discovery, the areas were crowded with bare naked women and again lots of chatter (sigh). The facilities were clean but they did not have that chill vibe I was hoping for. No snacks, no ice towels, and only a small water cooler by the locker room entrance. I guess I'll try my luck somewhere else next time. read more

I would highly recommend CGI! All the staff are super friendly, caring and helpful. The energy yoga practice makes me feel so calm and peaceful after a long, stressful day. The baths and saunas are super clean and aren't crowded. The pool isn't crowded either and can be used even by people who do not tolerate chlorine well (which was actually the reason I found the center). I recently moved to Closter and was in need to find a new gym. I was amazed to find that CGI offered everything, from a pool, to a spa that had a variety of saunas & a steam room, hot & cold tub, to yoga to fitness to meditation classes, a gym, etc, really the perfect place to work on the mind, body and soul. The instructors, healers and staff are truly amazing. (Laura's fitness classes are incredible) the facilities are clean and the hours they are open are very accommodating. I actually saw results after becoming a member. After 21 years of being a smoker, I can now happily say I am a non smoker. I have honestly never felt this healthy in my life and highly recommend CGI. read more
