I was hoping to see more gluten free options on the menu, especially for desserts (which I understood you need to order days in advance). I got the veggie omelette and it was nice. I was a bit shocked that tables didn't get wiped down when guests left, and they needed to be (milk stains, crumbs etc.). For the price of the food/drinks and ambiance, I'd expect a higher standard. We came here on National croissant day and they had a promotion for their croissants to be $1 each, which is crazy!! Usually their croissants are expensive! Taking advantage of their promotion, I got almost I e od each croissant they had, the only one I didn't get was the fig kouigh aman. I was only supposed to get 6 as it was their limit but the last was nice enough to let me get 7 :) Regular croissant, Chocolate croissant --- standard, flaky, buttery Kouig aman - flaky good flavor Banana almond croissant, almond croissant, hazelnut croissant, ham and cheese croissant -- good flavoring. L'Experience Paris - Bellevue & Kirkland Honestly? Overpriced and underwhelming. The pastries are way too sweet, and for the price you pay, you'd expect something a lot more refined. We tried a few items , none were memorable, and definitely not worth $10+ per piece. The space itself is cute, and the location is nice for a quick stop or a meet-up. But the quality doesn't justify the cost. It feels like you're paying for the aesthetic, not the taste. Nice spot, but I wouldn't come back for the pastries. Yep, 3 star average sounds about right. I was just about to yelp this place a three star and noticed the average was in line with my ratings So my 3 star is mainly the fact that their croissant is way overpriced. A plain croissant was like nearly $6 without tax included. It wasn't outstanding either. Second point is service was horrible. So this location has a cafe so you can order from a food menu, and I get that the barista is also a server too, but when I went it was completely empty with the exception of a few dine in's sipping coffee and a few dining to eat. The lady was soooo slow and I waited like 5 minutes. She kept on saying be right there. Finally I asked her for a croissant warmed up and she just gave it to me without it being heated. I had to ask her again that I wanted it heated and after it was heated I still had to wait for her to pass it to me. I certainly did not experience Paris, despite the name of this bakery. There are way better bakeries on the Eastside/ Seattle IMO. This isn't worth it. I actually went here because I was running an errand in Kirkland and on the way got super hungry and needed a snack on the go. read more

Stopped by on my way to work, to pick up some desserts to celebrate an occasion. No designated parking, so parked on the street, walked in. No one behind the counter. A bunch of men, chewing and talking loudly in the store. I stand and wait for few minutes to see whether anyone will emerge, to no avail. Then one of the men yells to the back of the store, "Stephanie! Stephanie!" Still no one shows. Few more minutes pass by, I'm contemplating going to a different cafe for the treats, then the same man tells me that "Stephanie's in the restroom". I asked whether only one person works there, and the answer was "yeah, it's early" (it was 8:45am and the cafe opens at 7am - NOT EARLY for a place that serve breakfast!). Well, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to stick around until Stephanie is done in the restroom, and at the same time wondered whether her hand-washing practice is to my liking. Ultimately, I decided against purchasing anything and left. I've been to Paris and the French aren't known for their friendliness but the experience was much better than what they call "L'Experience Paris". Hopefully they're profitable enough that they can hire more than one person at this cafe. I don't think I'll be back, there are enough competitions in the area, and I don't feel like wasting my precious commuting time again. read more

Not sure when this place opened but they sure haven't figured it out yet. Waited in long line to place order, waited even longer for meals and coffees. The croissants were excellent, the other food was meh. What pushed me over the edge was the pig-tailed waitress who, when asked for a second time about our coffees which hadn't arrived after half an hour, replied "I have two hands". If you do nothing else about the service, please do some role playing with her or tell her if she can't take the heat, get out of the restaurant. You can't take more than $120 from customers for a basic breakfast for 4, leave off items and make unasked for substitutions without explanation, then give snotty service.
