Been to this location a couple of times, I usually visit the one in downtown Bellevue. The staff has always been friendly and helpful and the food and drinks are consistently delicious, cute patio is also available! Parking can be hard to find and is limited to street parking. read more

French style bakery and cafe. It's located on Lake St in a senior living building, a bit south of downtown Kirkland. There's street parking on Lake St. and on the side streets. It's small to mid size inside, and also has some outdoor seating. Had some customers on a weekend morning. You can order to go at the counter, or sit down at the tables for dine-in option where they'll come and take your order. Went there for breakfast/brunch. Menu is one sheet both sides. Has their croissants, pastries, and various breakfast/brunch plates. I got their egg benedict. It's pretty normal egg benedict with the runny poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Tastes fine, but you just get the benedict and the plate doesn't come with anything else. For $22, it's definitely not cheap. Overall, it was an okay experience. read more

I'm conflicted on leaving this review but we had just got back from Paris the week before and wanted to get some pastries and breakfast. We arrived in the morning and were told that most of the pastries were sold out, and there was no jam because it didn't deliver from Paris yet. Bummer. We got a croissant sandwich with eggs 6/10 it was under salted but the croissant itself was good. "Signature" Hot chocolate- 6/10 unremarkable I'd come back here with caution since it's so pricey to eat out here. read more

Very nice ambiance, baffling service. The croissant arrived instantly, but it was dry and tasted like butter was strictly against company policy. My coffee arrived 15 minutes later, long after the pastry was a distant memory. To top it off, we received sugar with no stirrer. After requesting spoons for two people, we were handed exactly one teaspoon. My friend and I ended up sharing a single spoon like we were surviving a harsh winter in the 1800s. Come for the photos, but bring your own cutlery and expect your meal to arrive in random, unsynchronized chapters. read more

The space is beautiful and located nearby the Kirkland waterfront. I was able to find street parking fairly easily and popped in for an almond croissant. I imagine this would be a great place on the sun your day to grab brunch or to have a little coffee work session. I was surprised that there was no one inside of the café, although it was right before lunch during a weekday. read more

The ambiance and service is nice here. The desserts are STUNNING but heavy (cream-wise). Overall would come back for brunch and coffee but would split 1 dessert with 2 people. Especially given the steep pricing! The Dubai-chocolate flavored cake (sahar) was lacking in flavor depth too. The jams are the best part of the pastries in my opinion. read more

We two had coffee and pastries. SERVICE: 4.5. Friendly and attentive. PASTRY & CAKE: 3.0. Poor value. - 3.0: Pain au chocolat @ $6.50. Good taste with flaky dough and a thin glaze. Comparable to pain au chocolat available on Eastside at lower price. - 2.5: cake - Gabrielle @ $18. The slight cardboard taste aborbed from the thin cardboard the cake was stored on degraded the otherwise mildly pleasant taste. COFFEE: 3.5. OK. - 3.5: decaf with oat milk. - 3.5: Americano. AMBIANCE: 2.5. Airy with plenty of white seats and tables. Video monitor on one wall silently displayed a video loop of Paris sights. Quiet - no music. Clean unisex bathrooms. A few inexpensive French wines, attractively-boxed expensive French biscuits, etc, available to take home. read more

My wife and I dropped by here for a Sunday afternoon brunch. We expected cafe-style counter service, but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated with dine-in service. The bakery items were sweet and crunchy. We also enjoyed the Paris-themed decor. We would definitely recommend! read more

I was hoping to see more gluten free options on the menu, especially for desserts (which I understood you need to order days in advance). I got the veggie omelette and it was nice. I was a bit shocked that tables didn't get wiped down when guests left, and they needed to be (milk stains, crumbs etc.). For the price of the food/drinks and ambiance, I'd expect a higher standard. Cute spot though! read more

This is a 3.5 star place but I'm rounding it up to 4 star because it satisfy my croissant cravings. We came here on National croissant day and they had a promotion for their croissants to be $1 each, which is crazy!! Usually their croissants are expensive! Taking advantage of their promotion, I got almost I e od each croissant they had, the only one I didn't get was the fig kouigh aman. I was only supposed to get 6 as it was their limit but the last was nice enough to let me get 7 :) Regular croissant, Chocolate croissant --- standard, flaky, buttery Kouig aman - flaky good flavor Banana almond croissant, almond croissant, hazelnut croissant, ham and cheese croissant -- good flavoring. These are definitely very French :) If it wasn't for the price (normal price) I would be coming here often as these are pretty good. The service was decent as well and there are plenty of street parking read more

I ordered a gift card online and when I went to the restaurant with the email entitled gift card they could not take it. I emailed their customer service two times asking for assistance and have received no reply or even acknowledgement. at a minimum do not but a gift card. Also the last time I went the food had not been well prepared and the spinach in the florentine salmon was cold. The two staff (different from the prior visit) seemed young and overwhelmed. Disappointing. read more

The service here is incredibly slow. I literally stood by the cash register for over ten minutes, and was barely even acknowledged... and by the time I got to order the kitchen closed. I arrived at 1:55, the cafe closes at 4, but the kitchen closed at 2. Quite frustrating. read more

L'experience used to be a treat. Not sure what feedback they received that made them change their recipes. Their almond croissant went from something to look forward to, to an average "meh" croissant that is easily forgettable. Even their plain croissant seems to have gotten worse. They even changed their cups, from the fancy self insulating cups to the average cafeteria style cups. I really wish they would reconsider their almond recipe. Given the ample options in the area, l'expeirence just became just another place and not the destination it once was for us. read more

L'Experience Paris - Bellevue & Kirkland Honestly? Overpriced and underwhelming. The pastries are way too sweet, and for the price you pay, you'd expect something a lot more refined. We tried a few items , none were memorable, and definitely not worth $10+ per piece. The space itself is cute, and the location is nice for a quick stop or a meet-up. But the quality doesn't justify the cost. It feels like you're paying for the aesthetic, not the taste. Nice spot, but I wouldn't come back for the pastries. There are much better options in the area , and for half the price. read more

Drinks/Food: Overall 4/5 Debut of Executive Chef ‍, Johannes Bonin exquisite patisserie menu! MY FAV: Sahar (Dubai-styled pistachio patisserie) Émilie (classic choux pastry) Coffee was bold & acidic ! Pretty good but not something that I really loved! Interior: 4.5/5 Perfectly sophisticated interior with a lovely patio as well! Kind of like best of both worlds! Service: 5/5 Everyone was so kind & the service was spectacular! They were super sweet about remaking my coffee drink to my preferred liking Overall: Yes / No / Maybe Yes! Perfect spot for pastries trust me!!!! read more

Yep, 3 star average sounds about right. I was just about to yelp this place a three star and noticed the average was in line with my ratings So my 3 star is mainly the fact that their croissant is way overpriced. A plain croissant was like nearly $6 without tax included. It wasn't outstanding either. Second point is service was horrible. So this location has a cafe so you can order from a food menu, and I get that the barista is also a server too, but when I went it was completely empty with the exception of a few dine in's sipping coffee and a few dining to eat. The lady was soooo slow and I waited like 5 minutes. She kept on saying be right there. Finally I asked her for a croissant warmed up and she just gave it to me without it being heated. I had to ask her again that I wanted it heated and after it was heated I still had to wait for her to pass it to me. I certainly did not experience Paris, despite the name of this bakery. There are way better bakeries on the Eastside/ Seattle IMO. This isn't worth it. I actually went here because I was running an errand in Kirkland and on the way got super hungry and needed a snack on the go. read more

L'Experience Paris - Les Viennoiserie Croissant de LExperience - French Near Me - Kirkland, Washington

Stopped by on my way to work, to pick up some desserts to celebrate an occasion. No designated parking, so parked on the street, walked in. No one behind the counter. A bunch of men, chewing and talking loudly in the store. I stand and wait for few minutes to see whether anyone will emerge, to no avail. Then one of the men yells to the back of the store, "Stephanie! Stephanie!" Still no one shows. Few more minutes pass by, I'm contemplating going to a different cafe for the treats, then the same man tells me that "Stephanie's in the restroom". I asked whether only one person works there, and the answer was "yeah, it's early" (it was 8:45am and the cafe opens at 7am - NOT EARLY for a place that serve breakfast!). Well, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to stick around until Stephanie is done in the restroom, and at the same time wondered whether her hand-washing practice is to my liking. Ultimately, I decided against purchasing anything and left. I've been to Paris and the French aren't known for their friendliness but the experience was much better than what they call "L'Experience Paris". Hopefully they're profitable enough that they can hire more than one person at this cafe. I don't think I'll be back, there are enough competitions in the area, and I don't feel like wasting my precious commuting time again. read more

Nice little cafe, BUT, $1:50 added for oat milk for a small cappuccino is daylight robbery! How is this not just gouging your vegan clients? The coffee is very average btw. Croissants are good, but the Kouign Amman is a bit dry. But given the prices I won't be back any time soon. Shame, as the staff seem nice. read more

I used to be a big fan of this place. But since last summer the quality decreased a lot (bad quality salad leaves), smaller portions and almost decay pastries. Yes, I am talking about these $15 pieces of art that have lost their prime and their flavor. These pastries should have been retired. Oh! And the absence of the Mariage Frères Teas for months. read more

The food is good and the coffee is good. Service is very slow. Parking is a challenge. I'm too impatient to wait 15 minutes for a latte to go. I like the baguette but it's not available for breakfast, shows up later in the morning. Good deal but bring your own butter. read more

Not sure when this place opened but they sure haven't figured it out yet. Waited in long line to place order, waited even longer for meals and coffees. The croissants were excellent, the other food was meh. What pushed me over the edge was the pig-tailed waitress who, when asked for a second time about our coffees which hadn't arrived after half an hour, replied "I have two hands". If you do nothing else about the service, please do some role playing with her or tell her if she can't take the heat, get out of the restaurant. You can't take more than $120 from customers for a basic breakfast for 4, leave off items and make unasked for substitutions without explanation, then give snotty service. I don't live in Kirkland and I won't be going back, but it was not worth the aggravation. read more
