Place was disgusting. Not clean and smelled musty. Came home and had to shower. Will not be going back.

This place is great. Really any LA Tan location I have been to is wonderful. They offer monthly, daily, and seasonal specials. They have an email blast to sign up for and offer memberships so you can stay in the loop with specials! They have spray tan & the beds here. Customer service is always friendly & it's always clean in here. They have a restroom and small waiting area in the front. Open literally every day of the week to get your bronze on! read more

Craving the . Today I had the coolest tanning experience ever. (And trust me, as a sun addict there has been a lot.) I tried out the Ritz Carlton of beds. Omg it actually mists you a few times during your session. Oh! And it plays total zen music. I have been in every level bed there and like them all. Very friendly staff. They will answer any questions patiently. Rooms aren't horrible but floors often have hair bands etc. Beds are clean.

Go to Hoffman Estates instead!!! Spend thousands over several years and will never go back!!! They have a girl behind the counter that yells at customer and shakes them down for a dollar for eye wear. Someone spends tons of money u should not want to lose them for a dollar. STAY AWAY!!!! read more

I've been going to LA Tan off and on since I was a teenager (mostly to prep for vacations and special occasions) and have used several different locations in the Chicago Suburb area, as I have moved around and changed jobs, etc. I like LA Tan because I can use any location with any package/membership, however not every location has the same level of quality. The first LA Tan I went to in Mokena, IL was wonderful, so I know they have potential but since then I've used some LA Tans with terrible beds and some with terrible service...some with both. So, when I walked into Huntley's location tonight, after a 2 year break from tanning beds, I had pretty low expectations. Especially after reading these Yelp reviews. I didn't even know there was anything besides cornfields in that area of town, let alone a retail strip, but it was on my way home from work and LA Tan already as all my information. But I was pleasantly surprised! The woman at the desk (I don't remember her name, I'm terrible with names, but she was probably in her early 20's with long, very curly hair) was lovely and did a great job of explaining all of my options, without any judgement or pressure. She did a great job of informing and selling me on both memberships and lotions without overstating or exaggerating their values vs. cost, which has happened to me at several different locations. I even went one extra tier up on a membership than I had originally planned. I tried a sample packet of one of the bronzerless intensifiers she suggested, which was one of the very best I've tried. Ultimately though, I didn't buy a bottle of lotion from her tonight, frankly because bronzers always turn my pale, Irish skin orange and I'm skeptical of the usefulness of bronzerless tanning lotion on skin that is already hydrated. I might get the natural bronzer she said she uses, however, when I get darker and closer to my upcoming vacation. She had the most beautifully colored skin that had me questioning whether she even used the tanning beds, it looked so natural. I didn't notice a basket of the stickers that you use to see how tan you've gotten (I'm a sucker for those, I don't know why...), but I might have just missed it. Even if not, it's not a deal breaker. The beds looks like the space under the acrylic could use to be dusted and wiped down, but the top, where you lay down and actually make contact with, came up completely clean with no residue at all when I wiped it with a tissue to check. It seemed just as clean as any other bed I've used in the past. Also, a huge plus for me, every bulb in the bed worked. Seems like a no brainer, but I've been to several locations that wait until 4 or 5 bulbs go out before changing them. I know this is my first visit and maybe I just got lucky, but I was extremely satisfied and don't plan on taking the long way home from work to visit a different LA Tan location on Monday. read more

I have been going to this location for years!!!! The most important quality a business should have is customer service and they have mastered that quality. Marissa and Jessica are so friendly, polite and very professional! A tanning bed is a tanning bed but when you walk in smiling and walk out smiling it's because of how you've been treated. This place is gross, they do not clean their beds. I went to lay down in a bed an there was a film all over it from someone else's lotion. I went to move to the other bed and it too was disgusting. The place is super unprofessional and doesn't even look sanitary from the outside. Spend more money to go to a nice tanning salon cuz this one is a wreck. read more

I love this LA Tan! The staff is great and most of them are really very knowledgeable about their products and what results you can expect. The beds are nice. The place is clean and I get a great tan. I also use red light therapy. If you have joint pain, I highly recommend it. It really works!! read more

When I walked into this location it was dirty...The employee was not very friendly. There was no one else there in any bed tanning and I had to wait for her to clean a tanning bed. The employee said this location does not have a level 3 stand up or a level 2 stand up, but does have a level 4 stand up which is not included in my membership package. I ended up just going in a lay down bed. I will not be back to that location. read more

L.A. Tan is clean and the staff is great. I have been going there for a few weeks and already they know my name. Steph went over the red light treatments and I signed up for a special they head. It is working. She did stress that I needed to be dedicated to coming as often as 5 days a week to see results. Sure enough this week - my third week in my brown spots have scabbed and are flaking off. I can't wait to see the results after 3 months. Thanks Steph! read more

Used to be $19.99 a month for unlimited Tanning. Pretty friendly employees. However, my bill went up to $24.99 with no notice. Turns out there's a new 10% federal tax, PLUS they raised the rate for tanning. I only do this in the spring, when I'm getting ready to go on vacation and don't wanna fry, but a 25% increase between the tax and their rate seems very high. read more

The staff is actually very good, however their advertising is inaccurate. I purchased a tanning package of 20 sessions. Recently they told me they expired with 9 sessions left and the only way I could get them reinstated is to purchase more. No where on the flyer (advertising) does it show that the sessions will expire after a year. Even the person working there told me that rule is not written anywhere, not even on the receipt. She told me she couldn't help me, only corporate could reinstate my sessions. I was given the phone number to their corporate office. I left 3 messages without a return receiving call. I waited 2 weeks, still no return call. I have been a customer for 3 years, before the new owners. The old owners were fantastic. I have now filed a complaint with the BBB for false advertising. Hopefully LA Tan will actually put their rule on their advertising so others do not have to fight for their money as I am. read more
