She explained daily specials, offered information on the three types of sunless tanning they offer and throughly explained the different beds. Key West Tan was bright, clean and comfortable. It did not feel like a pretentious tanning club nor a worn out 1990s tanning store. It is the perfect spot to stop at, say hi and get yourself a nice glow. I enjoyed my first visit and am looking forward to coming back, getting a great summer glow, as well as doing to custom sunless spray soon.

I wanted somewhere that was reasonably priced, easy to get into, provided a good color and sprayed by hand vs a machine. I used to go to another place in Mundelein that was also a hair salon but getting an apt was always so difficult but they did offer a spray by hand. However, the last few times I tried to go I couldn't get it. So I tried another place where the woman would come to your house but I didn't like the tan (could barley see anything) and it was so pricey. Then I tried LA Tan and I came out looking like I just went to the Jersey Shore. So I've finally found my place- Cabo Tan!!!!The owner is very sweet & helpful. The tan itself was literally the best I've ever had. I looked perfectly tan and it lasted the entire trip even after spending four days in the ocean. Apparently they have some secret tanning solution that no other shop uses and is better quality than the versa spa solution. Go give this place a try!

She probably spent about 1-2 minutes doing the tan and then it was done. I stayed in the room to air dry before dressing and driving home. I liked the immediate effect of the bronzer and was initially happy with the service but it did feel quite rushed but I decided to trust the process since it was my first airbrush spray tan. Was told to shower around 8 hours after the tan and I said I would set an alarm to wake up (it would've been 11pm) to do so and she said it was okay to just let it set overnight and shower it off in the morning. Later that evening as the tan was setting in I could see that the tan was "pooling" in certain areas like my foot and hand creases which I was hoping would be improved compared to the machine tan considering a person was personally spraying me and controlling the product application. Based on how dark I was already looking I decided to shower at 10pm instead of ruining my sheets and waiting over the recommended time to shower it off and I'm glad I did. I had a very dark but nice tan overall but the hand and foot creases were very bad so I was disappointed. Less than 24 hours my foot tan was extremely splotchy and wearing off in certain areas (photos attached). While changing into my bathing suit (got tan for trip to Florida) I realized that the tan about the back of my thighs had essentially never set in due to presumably sitting and sweating in that area while driving home (also felt rushed to exit the tanning salon before I felt "dry" and feel that contributed). The foot and leg issues were both prior to getting in the swimming pool as I know that obviously expedites the tan "wearing off". After about 48 hours from the tan most of the tan had completely washed off from sweating in the Florida heat and a couple dips into the pool. I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED as I paid more at $35 (normally $45) to get this "custom airbrush" tan and I probably got a better tan overall with my $15 LA tan machine spray tan. Will not be returning.

I went on a half price Sunday and the bed shut down because it was too hot. So I was told I had to…read moresave the minutes and use them the next time I went tanning. I was not offered to use the other bed to finish tanning. Then I went a month later to use the remaining minutes but I was told by the same employee I could not use them because it was half price Sunday and that I would have to come in on another day. I was already inconvenienced the first time because I did not get to use all my time I paid for and then I was being told to use the time I had to be inconvenienced again. I asked to speak with the manager and she was not available, the employee told me they would ask Melissa the owner to call me tomorrow when she was in. She didnt call me, according to her, the employee did not mention the issue to her. When I explained what happened the owner stated the minutes could just be used as a 5 minute tan only and additional minutes could not be added unless you would buy points which I never have bought because I just buy minutes. I explained that if this is their policy they should have it posted so people are aware of the rules but then I was told it is not a policy. I was being yelled at that she did not have to get reamed at for 4 minutes. I told her I was not the one yelling that she was yelling. She also put in that as a customer I dont even pay as a regular customer because I just go on half price Sundays. She went on saying she was thinking about getting rid of half price Sundays because they are too busy and cause the beds to shut down when they are overheated. She also explained that customers get upset when they close on Sundays for Holidays, I was not sure how this applied to me as I was not saying anything about that. She said she was not trying to make excuses for the employees but that that employee was a thorn in her side and due to family she could not fire them. Then she went on a rant and gave very unprofessional excuses for why that particular employee handled it poorly. In the end she said she would credit the 4 minutes of money back to my account but she never even asked my name and she hung up on me. I would say the employee learned their customer service skills from the owner. If they have policies the customers should be aware of before spending their money there they should be notified of those policies. When there is an issue it should be handled more professionally and courteously.

If the lotion you want isn't there, he'll let you look through his catalog and order you whatever you want! The Blue bed is amazing along with the white lay down (which is great for tanning your face). The spray tans are very affordable and Megan, one of the sprayers is great (definitely request her for your spray tans, she doesn't miss a spot)!! She replied with tropical tan! Then I saw myself gross and freakishly pale and I was done! Which brought me in and not really knowing anything about what level, which lotion or anything. She had recommended three different lotions from which I picked out a really floral scented one that I loved. She also recommended a Bronze no burn bed which the statement was true. I didn't burn which I was super worried about! Ashley also made sure I had the eye protection before I went in there. While I waited for the bed she was also sweet enough to give me a tour explaining the different beds and even the red light therapy one ( I hope I got it right ) which I had to google but that dang bed I am excited to try! One of the employees was unable to tell me the difference between the open sun and high pressure beds. Room 8 door does not lock properly. Room 3 tanning bed facial bulb is out. I just got a 30 day package deal that was 50% for tanning and I am pleased with the price so I'll update my review at the end of this experience with service from the staff and the quality of beds,rooms, and overall salon.
