Love this place! Bob, the owner is super cool and friendly. He gives the best advice towards tanning and life :). Theres always $5 tanning, EVERYDAY, and 25% off all lotions! If the lotion you want isn't there, he'll let you look through his catalog and order you whatever you want! The Blue bed is amazing along with the white lay down (which is great for tanning your face). The spray tans are very affordable and Megan, one of the sprayers is great (definitely request her for your spray tans, she doesn't miss a spot)!! Also, if you Facebook friend him he always gives his current customers deals such as, half off a spray tan, or a free day of tanning. P.S. Refer someone and you get a free tan! :) read more

Horrible experience. I called today to schedule a spray tan through the booth & I was told it was $20. I informed the woman on the phone letting her know it's my first time doing spray tanning through a machine. After the phone call, I checked on Facebook AND on yelp (just to see their reviews) and noticed their spray tans are listed as $10. I called the girl back regarding this and all she said was "that must be only for Mondays", I reassured her that it was in fact for everyday -- as stated on both sites. She goes "Oh well I don't know why it's like that". Ha, how nice. She doesn't know why it's like that (and probably won't honor the online EVERYDAY NON-DISCOUNTED price). I was a bit annoyed but proceeded to attend my appointment since I desperately needed this tan for a party tomorrow. I go in the salon and pay with card. She goes "it's going to be a $1 charge to use your card. I said ok. "Alright $23 altogether" -- I said "23 for what? I thought it was $21 with the $1 fee".. "oh that's including tax". Whatever. Paid it. Super annoyed at this point that I even had to pay up front for a service that wasn't even completed yet. After the transaction, I asked her if they had a service menu/price sheet (so I can double check prices) and she said no. They use the Square app to charge people and put in custom prices, basically whatever they deem fit to charge people. Since what's online is different than word of mouth -- just to lure you in. * See attached receipt for details. After I paid, she did not ask me how dark I wanted my tan, but manually entered it in and expected me to go with her suggestion. Um, ok. Why don't you ask the customer? What if I wanted to be super dark? You just enter in anything? Like at least let me know before I ask so I'm not surprised. -- Fast Forward -- "Okay you're in booth 8." That's all she said as I finished the paperwork. I said "Ok thank you". Now I'm thinking someone is going to come over and help me work this giant booth/machine since I stated it was my first time. Nothing. Waited there for 6 minutes. I come out of the booth and politely ask the two girls sitting on the couch (on their phones) and say "Hey ladies, I've never really done this so can someone please help me." They don't move, only instruct me on what to do. "Go inside, press the green button, follow the positions, and you're done". Wow, what superb customer service! Not only was I getting ripped off, I was also receiving terrible service. I wonder how these ladies get paid. After the 2 minute spray tan, I come out of the booth, observe my body and didn't notice the slightest change of complexion. As I'm ready to leave, fuming, the girl goes "so how did it look", I said with an annoyed tone "I don't notice a difference at all". Instead of making the situation better and offering another quick spray session she goes "It just takes time for the results". And then I just left. You're better off buying $20 spray tan in a can before you come to this establishment. I will not be coming back here even if the service was free. I learned my lesson. read more

Had a membership here for a couple of weeks now. Good when they are open I guess. Just pulled up to go in and was greeted with a sign that they are temporarily closed for the next couple of days. This is on top of being temporarily closed for a couple of days a day after I purchased the membership. Would be nice if they let those of us that have paid for a service that it will be unavailable (although it should not be) before we plan this as part of our day and drive there. Not acceptable. I must say that this place is amazing. I hate going to tanning places but this place is always super clean. They have awesome deals on tanning lotions and super friendly stuff that can always recommend the best option. If you are looking for a good tanning salon look no further because Island Tan is the best there is !!!! read more

I love the place! Even though its VERY small and is ALWAYS crowded, the owner is so so so nice and its very cheap to tan! His beds are not the most updated, but the bulbs are always new, and it gets the job done. I'd rather wait 20 min here and be treated like a welcomed customer, rather than go to LAtan and be treated like just someone who tans there. I would definitely recommend it, tans are always $5, no matter what bed/how long you go for! read more

This place is very dirty. Spider webs in the bathroom and I didn't even receive a towel. PS they charge $1 for credit card fee

Wow I though this place was bad before, now the new owner is an arrogant douche! I wasn't getting tan after going for like 2 weeks, which is why I stopped coming here years ago. The new owner insisted the bulbs were new, well first they are the same beds the previous owner had and no the bulbs are not new and or have not been replaced. Also the red light therapy is a huge scam, doesn't do anything for acne, joints or wrinkles. Same crappy place just a different douchebag owner at least the previous owner was friendly and nice! read more

I've been coming to Island for years because of how close It is to me and how cheap the prices are. But after so many bad experiences it's not worth it. I got a spray tan done here (which wasn't my first, I get them done often but decided to try it here), and after they advised me on the shade I should do I went home and even hours later I saw absolutely no difference. I call in to ask if I would be able to come in and get another layer of spray or a darker shade and the owner (who thinks he's funny but is really just unprofessional) responds rudely that the next color down would have made me look like an "oak door" basically that I was crazy and that I did get color I was just blind. The beds are disgusting. One instance I went into the room and there was a fly in the room. Than I lay in the bed and close it and in 5 seconds there were about 20 flys flying all over me. I told the owner about it and he tried to brush it off like "oh they're just flys" and ignores the fact that the flys were attracted to garbage and who knows what else on the room. Not only are they disgusting but the glass is compromised and worn down so it burns your heels. Terrible place. Awesome if you like grime bugs bad service and cheap tans that don't show! read more

Went in here to check it out and I was horrified at the look of the inside of this place and the women who came to talk to me that looked like she was on meth. I didn't even see the beds but I am sure they were the cheap beds from the early 90's that give no color. I would never tan here considering the look of the place, very dirty. The last place someone wants to tan with no clothing on is a dirty tanning salon. read more

I just went back for the first time in forever. The new owner is super nice and clearly cares about his new business adventure. He has cleaned the place up! It got a new fresh look, new paint, and even purchased a vacuum. Really good deals on Monday's and Tuesdays. 10/10 would recommend giving it another try!! read more

I have been coming here for years. The prices are the cheapest you'll find around here. $5 tans, $7 for the highest bed. The owner is very friendly and everyone who works there have been too. They have stand-up beds, lay down, and spray tanning, although I've never gotten a spray tan there before. They do not accept credit cards, cash only. They are closed on Sundays too. There are certain times that you go and have to wait 25 minutes and other times there isn't a wait. read more

Who doesn't love $5 tans?! I received 2 free tans for buying a bottle of lotion & when the useless sparkling light on the bottle didn't work, I got a 3rd free tan! Never had a problem with the beds. Love the "blue bed". Everyone always makes you feel very welcomed. read more
