I got to the salon at 625 for my 6:30 appointment. The only girl in the salon was doing a client's nails and instead of finishing to get to my appointment on time, she was having a long conversation. I didn't get showed to the room until 6:45. the appointment was horrible. She was so rushed and didn't even tell me when to close my mouth or hold my breath when she was doing my face. I was done within five minute. I suggest no one go there unless they want an awful spay.

Up front they have their merchandise and also seem to sell things by other creators--jewelry, textiles, etc.--along with their hair and skincare merchandise. Kevin Murphy, Milbon, Alastin, and Aveda are some of the brands you'll find here. I had an appointment with Shante, and she was great. Very warm and friendly, and I quickly felt a rapport with her. She did a great job on my my color, and we discussed other styles as well. I've been considering cutting it, which is usually just a couple inches to clean off the ends and re-establish the layers, but I may go a bit shorter. I'm also thinking about balayage as we move into spring. Shante is also a curly hair expert, and since my daughter has beautiful curls I will probably take her here once she starts getting her hair cut. And I wouldn't mind knowing better how to manage my own curls, and I'll be glad to have Shante's experience and expertise to guide me.

I had never done a spray tan before, & Amanda made it easy - from scheduling, to preparing, to the actual event. It turned out really beautiful, looked natural, & lasted for my out-of-town event. Additionally, Amanda does a lot of body work & noticed during my spray tan that I was having shoulder issues. My right shoulder had been bothering me for some time, & she was the first to tell me without even touching my shoulder that I had rotator cuff issues. I was wary of texting the number but got a prompt response. It was beyond thoughtful of her to ask why and when I needed to be event ready and she advised the best timing to be sure I'd look and feel my best. Mind you - I had a less than 48 hour window before I had to be good to go. In my experience, it can be rare for someone with the setup and professionalism of Amanda to be able to book on such short notice, let alone for a Friday in the midst of late summer/early fall wedding season. She directed me to her website which clearly lists the standard prep for best results. On arrival, Amanda explained everything that would happen from start to finish then went on to narrate why she was doing what she was doing at each step. She was kind and professional and made me feel very at ease and even finished off with a dusting of homemade powder that smelled fricken DIVINE and ensured I made it back to my car sweat free! While developing, I noted that the formula she used is one of the least smelly I've ever had applied. No small feat considering the beautiful color I got to. I'm lucky to live close by but she travels and I would recommend her to any family member or friend looking to add a little color.
