I come to this place every 2 weeks. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the…read morelast 3 times I have gotten a no chip manicure, I have gotten bad SUNBURN around my cuticles and tips of my fingers around the nail from the UV llight that hardens the no chip gel.. Then the skin peels and cuticles get bad. (not to mention it hurts) - IF THEY WOULD JUST PUT SPF SUNBLOCK ON THE CUSTOMER'S HANDS BEFORE PUTTING THEM UNDER THE UV LIGHT- THIS WOULD ELIMIATE THAT ISSUE- We may think that because it is only one minute under the light( 3 separate times, base coat-light, color-light-clear top coat-light) it is not a big deal, but the light is so much closer to our skin than it would be if we were lying in a tanning bed... and even the slightest exposure can cause skin damage- so why not Be On The Safe Side and use the SPF??I think it is an easy solution they could be the first to do it and show they really care about their customers The salon itself is always clean and the ladies are very friendly. They take their time and do a really nice job. My Nails always look perfect. I did notice though that they use the same cuticle trimmer from customer to customer without sterilizing it first. It is metal so maybe could be sprayed down before each use. Same with the foot scraper- no cleaning in between.. They give you an awesome neck massage after each manicure which sets them apart I think. While I do love this place - as it is one of the best I have been to- I wish they (and a lot of other nail spas) would pay more attention to sanitation to prevent infection and disease- and be sure to sterilize tools after every single use. That AND PUT SPF 15 OR 30 Sun Block ON CUSTOMER'S HANDS BEFORE PUTTING THEM UNDER THE UV LIGHT FOR NO CHIP MANICURE- THAT WOULD SOLVE THE SUN BURN / PROBLEM.

My daughter and I have been doing the magic sleek (a defrizzing, straightening treatment) on our…read morecurly locks for a few years now. We've been happy with our treatment and stylist, but a friend recently switched to Jasmine and said the results were better than ever. My daughter had 2 days home between summer adventures so I figured it was worth trying Jasmine. She was booked when I reached out, but then the week of let me know she had a cancellation and could take her - whoo hoo! The entire process took 4.5 hours, which is long, but crazy enough less than the 5+ hours we usually spend doing this treatment. Jasmine herself was was super friendly and confident that my daughters hair would be better than ever with this treatment. I was hopeful, but skeptical. She got to work right away with a few assistants helping with the process. When I picked up my daughter I was shocked how straight and smooth her hair was after just running a blow dryer thru it for a few minutes. My daughter was thrilled, although she hoped it would be a little wavy after braids since she doesn't like it perfectly straight. She took off for camp the next day, but the only letter I've gotten in the mail is (no joke) "my hair is totally straight." And based on the camp pictures I've been amazed by how well it took to her hair. It looks a little wavy at the ends and I'm guessing she's likely sleeping in braids to get it to curl a bit. We usually have to do this treatment every 5 months. Jasmine thought every 6-12 months, but our roots grow in so curly that I'd be shocked if we could go that long. I'm also interested in trying Jasmine for the magic sleek, but she thought other treatments would be better for my blonde (highlighted) hair like the keratin express. It's tough to please a 13 year old when it comes to hair (and other things), but I think Jasmine did it!

I got the best spray tan at Cabo Tan in Libertyville!…read more This was the fourth place I tried after trying to find my new go to place. I wanted somewhere that was reasonably priced, easy to get into, provided a good color and sprayed by hand vs a machine. I used to go to another place in Mundelein that was also a hair salon but getting an apt was always so difficult but they did offer a spray by hand. However, the last few times I tried to go I couldn't get it. So I tried another place where the woman would come to your house but I didn't like the tan (could barley see anything) and it was so pricey. Then I tried LA Tan and I came out looking like I just went to the Jersey Shore. So I've finally found my place- Cabo Tan!!!!The owner is very sweet & helpful. The tan itself was literally the best I've ever had. I looked perfectly tan and it lasted the entire trip even after spending four days in the ocean. Apparently they have some secret tanning solution that no other shop uses and is better quality than the versa spa solution. Go give this place a try!
