She did my friends hair for her wedding as well as the bridesmaid, including myself. She does an amazing job in her little salon in the professional building on York Road in Elmhurst. Shamiran is absolutely wonderful and made me completely comfortable and the whole thing only took 20 minutes! I got a beautiful tan that lasted about 5 days and did NOT peel or get patchy! That aspect about her is something is something you don't see every day. I respect that highly. The place was very clean and cute inside. The process was quick and easy. The price was affordable. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 was because my hands/palms turned a little orange. Not a big deal because I have received many compliments regarding my color. I have been pale my whole life, so this color change is something a little different for me. But the compliments from my co-worker is helping a lot. Thank you Shamiran!

My friends all came here as well so the whole bridal party would not be pasty white in photos. Everyone that works here is super nice and does a wonderful job. I found this tanning salon from a Groupon and they were not snobby or rude at all about using a discount (some places are). They also have a nice referral program. I like that they offer a lot of tan shades. If you are on the pale side I would highly suggest the medium-light shade. My tans always come out pretty even and natural looking. I definitely feel more confident wearing white when I have a nice light tan. If I'm tanning for a Saturday I prefer to go on Wednesday for it to look the most natural, Thursday wouldn't be bad either it's just very dark for any event I have on Friday. Make sure to follow all of their helpful guidelines they email you so that you can have the best tan possible, the tips really do make a difference. I also like that they don't try to upsell you stuff while you are there. They will only suggest something if you ask or it makes sense. Overall I would highly recommend to anyone for any occasion but you can definitely trust them for your big life events!

Sounds vain, I know, but I spend a good part of my day in workout clothes and shorts, and I don't like to shine like a beacon in the night. However, I'm not a big fan of tanning beds anymore since several friends who were bed users got skin cancer. So instead, I head to Absolute Color for some fake tanning! They are a small clean little establishment, offering 1 mystic tanning booth and 1 tanning bed. It's a couple of blocks from my house, so it's quite convenient, although the price of $25 per tan is probably not the best out there - it is $20 all day on Saturdays. Their machine is always in working condition, and the facility is clean. I took off a couple of stars because their hours last year were not always reliable, and I would go there when they were supposed to be open and there were already closed. That happened a couple of times, but I guess that's what happens when you've got teenagers running the place! Warning: make sure to listen to the directions that the machine gives you - I almost ended up like Ross in the hysterical "Friends" episode my first time - so listen and turn!
