I really like this tanning salon. I go for a few months about once a year or so and this is the closest salon to my apartment. They have really nice beds and everything is always really clean. I was pretty impressed as I called once because I was curious about the spray tan and the girl on the phone talked to me for about 10 minutes and answered every question I had without being snobby, she was really nice and helpful. Only reason why I give the 4 stars is 1- They're prices are a little high. 2- I understand they make commission but to ask every time when I walk in the door how I'm doing on lotions and then trying to talk to me about some other service they offer is kind of annoying. I bought a face lotion from them (which is nice) but for $40 and that was a discount and unfortunately it feels like there's absolutely nothing in the bottle. But sometimes I come to relax and not be bothered. But whenever I go I feel like I have to fend off their sales pitch which gets kind of old. read more

Website advertises $37 for a single session. The employee behind the counter insisted it was $50 b/c I wasn't purchasing a membership. Wouldn't honor a $10 off coupon, listed without any restrictions on both the website and at point of sale because I wasn't purchasing a membership. Insisted I needed to pay $5 extra for some sort of toner so that my tan wouldn't turn out orange. (Literally what is wrong with your formulation that you have to pay extra so that it works?) Dismissive and unhelpful the entire time. I had to ask for after-care instructions. If you've ever seen the Courtney Michelle Dlugos TikTok series about the employee who doesn't care if you live or unalive yourself, this is the girl behind the counter at this location. Awesome! This place is the Best! The Girls working there make it so fun. I love going here they always have a smile and welcome you! The Place has plenty of tanning beds to choose from. This location is out of my way but I like the atmosphere & my Versa Spa! read more

I've never had a bad experience here. All the girls are nice, friendly, and not too pushy. At the other location on Harlem by Harlem Irving Plaza the girls just don't let up. It's highly annoying. This one is great though. When I do buy lotion they always have good products ranging in price. I recommend cypher, it's pricey ($150 around) but the best and highest quality skin care. I've never paid more than $115 for it though due to the fact when you sign up they give you a huge discount plus countless promotions and coupons they email you. Depending on which membership you have, which also ranges from $30-$105 I think, you get rewards based on how long you've been a member. If you sign up with a friend or family member your membership is less. Almost like a family cell phone plan. Hahaha. The $105 membership is your best bet. You get the best rewards, coupons, promotions, and unlimited tanning and sunless tanning in any bed or mystic pro/versa/versa pro. You can bring a friend every Thursday to tan also up to whatever your membership includes. I do the level 4 bed on the middle setting, for some reason it's better the the highest setting (there's three but I forget what they're called). It's a ten minute bed so I'm in and out. Thursdays I like to cocktail tan with that and the versa either level two clear or three clear both with the moisturizing after spray and a primer lotion they sell there for sunless tanning. That gets me pretty darn dark! Hahaha if you cocktail Friday you smell like spray tan at night and if you shower you stop the spray from fully developing. So Thursday is great, you're really tan for the weekend but you don't smell like death. Which, I don't know about you, but I try to avoid that lol. Only Con... I wish they had the versa pro machine. They have the solution but not the machine so it's not too huge. I think there's one in Carol Stream and one Downtown but I have yet to make the effort to drive to either. This one is just fine 1,000 times better than any other corporate/chain/franchise tanning salons, I'm not sure what they're considered lol, in Chicago! (L.A. Tan, Ultimate Exposure, Planet Beach, XSPORT, etc.) read more

For a membership style business where customers are charged full price every month. We expect full service every month. No excuses. If you are changing locations then one location should be operational before you close or partially close the first. This makes for poor service and high wait times. All while paying full price, remember. Nope. Unacceptable. Not even for a day. Not for PBT's prices. read more

I have been tanning for 7 years now and worked at different tanning salon on/off for 3 years and I've never been to a better tanning salon than palm beach. Bed bulbs are up to date so you get a tan quickly. Spray tan is the longest lasting spray tan I've ever gotten and it's a perfect brown/bronze, not orange! It's a bit pricey but 100% worth it. read more

I've been tanning at this location for several years. I've seen the place literally shrink in size, people come and go, but the one thing that is consistent... The equipment. Whether or not you buy the products (that do make a difference) the one thing you can always count on is up to date equipment, with fresh bulbs! I wish you would add more locations already! read more

Horrible service and the manager is a scammer and extremely rude! She charged me to begin a monthly membership, charged me to upgrade, charged me to downgrade and double charged my card on other things and I was showing her proof and she continued to argue with me! I just cancelled it was a HORRIBLE experience! I took my $60 month elsewhere. Not to mention she always tried to up-sell me and tell me my exact same lotion was somehow "different" than what they carried because I bought it on line for $30 cheaper! It was the same brand and same manufacturer! SCAMMERS!!! read more

Used to tan here last summer. Everyone here is super nice and helpful. Prices were too high though... And worst experience canceling from any salon I have been to. The UV free beds are kept in good condition, though. Staff:great Prices & Upper management: not read more

Both phone and in person customer service was great. Ended up getting a plan a little more expensive than I originally planned on, but they did a great job explaining the benefits of the upgraded plan. read more

If you were tanning at the Lombard Ultimate Exposure you already know that you are being transfered to this Palm Beach Tanning Salon, but don't worry cause this salon will NOT disappoint you!! It's simply beautiful inside, clean and there are many beds to choose from. The girl who was working took me on a tour of the place and answered all my questions. She was very helpful and super sweet. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

The staff is helpful, friendly and professional. The facility is clean and there is never a wait. It has always been a pleasant experience.

I don't use tanning salons often, but I've been to a few in my area over the years. I went back to Palm Beach Tan because the girls there are always so helpful without being pushy. The salon is very clean. In my experience, the bulbs in the beds are always working. I've been to salons where more than one bulb would be burnt out in the beds or stand up booth. PBT seems to keep up to date with the latest tanning technologies too. I'm so glad this salon is in my area. read more

First of all, a fingerprint to tan is totally ridiculous. Secondly, the staff was all super rude and pretentious. One girl was being very condescending and trying to say I shouldn't tan in the bed I wanted and for the time I wanted. I'm aware of how it works and how i tan, I didn't appreciate her rude input. If she was concerned in a helpful way I would've appreciated it, but she was actually extremely rude. They never seemed happy to be there or even faked it for the customers. Every time I went in they were complete brats. Not to mention the beds I used weren't good at all. Thankfully, the only reason I went was because it was free! Thanks to the horrid staff I will not be back. read more

This is the cleanest , nicest tan salon I have ever seen. The rooms are spacious, towels are imprinted with their logo and they provide the eye goggles! I was given a through tour by the manager whose name unfortunately escapes me at the moment. I seriously can now not return to any other salon after now knowing what the standard should be! I did the mystic tan and was given a choice of many different "shades" . The can was then selected and placed in the booth. It lasted longer and was even everywhere! DO NOT confuse this place with the run of the mill - "palm beach TANNING" salon I think they should sue this other company for obviously trying to hoard in on the reputation of this original company palm beach TAN. I would recommend Palm Beach Tan even if you have to go out of you way a bit to use it. It is that much better then all these other chains mom and pop shops you may have already used. read more

Came in on 4/10 as they opened for my routine tan. To my surprise i was informed that i couldn't because I tanned there the day before. That wasn't possible for I was out of town. She said there was nothing she could do. When I attempted to show proof and suggested "Perhaps whomever was working yesterday made a mistake?" She grew annoyed and said "My co-worker wouldn't do that and only you know your pin." I requested to speak to a manager only to be informed "actually I am a manager." Last ditch resort I asked if she could review the surveillance video but she shrugged it off. You'd think I was of little importance but in reality I am embarrassed to admit that my monthly fees were $115. Apparently people tanning twice in 24 hours is a growing epidemic on par with the opiate crisis. Disgusted, I demanded she cancel my membership. Can you believe she asked me why? As if I would continue to pay top dollar for this bullsh*t. This isn't a hostage situation, de-escalate it with a smile and lip service. Instead she let all my money walk out the door. Just because you have a manager title doesn't mean you can skip out on customer service skills. Not only are you at fault for this folly but you ostracized your BEST CUSTOMER. Good riddance Palm Beach Tan. read more

Paid close to $100 for the pro verspa tan with ZERO results. I was promised a refund by local store, approved by regional ( supposedly) never received it! read more

I never write reviews but this time I have to...Well after being forced to come here since executive tan in carol stream converted to palm beach, it's been a complete disaster. Not only is the staff pushy and overbearing but the gentlemen that works at this location actually told me to start tanning at LA Tan bc I purchased a bottle of lotion (for half the price) from LA. Also, their pricing changes depending on the mood you catch them in... One day the bottles at 25%, the next day they're 10% the next day 30%... Same thing with the packages. The only reason I still go here is because it's near to my house and I have a package. read more

Love tanning here. Everything is so clean and the girls are always so up to date with the new lotions and always giving you advice on how to better your tan. The price may be more than other salons but you get what you pay for. Cleanliness, great beds and great service. Wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

Rude associate. I went in because I had a coupon for four free tans. She tried to tell me everything and anything and told me the coupon was pointless because those bed sucked (what?). I told her kindly that I wasn't interested and just wanted to used the standup free tan. She only allowed me to go in for 5 minutes because I refused to buy lotion. Even though I'm an avid tanner. Never been back. And never will go back. read more

I had an awful experience here about one year ago. I purchased a spray tan and woke up the next day with no color at all. I have had the versa tan a number of times and it always had a distinct smell so I knew what to expect. I didn't have the smell this time along with no color so I know there was no solution dispensed. I drove 30 minutes back to the salon and the girl accused me of lying for a free tan. She said I probably showered too soon. I told her I had not showered at all since receiving the tan and I was clearly white aals a ghost. She rolled her eyes and told me I would have to pay for another tan. I insisted she call her manager. She thebln called her manager in front of me and loudly said "there's a lady here saying her tan didn't take and of course wants a free tan now.." she was rude, pretentious and I would never again go back to this establishment. read more

This is the best run tanning salon i have ever attended. It is always ultra clean, the associates are always courteous and are meticulous in cleaning the beds after use. They apologize if a specific tanning bed is already occupied and always willing to provide information about products which are designed for specific types of skin/results. Sarah is one of the very best associates! Bulbs are changed routinely and have never had a bad experience at this location. read more

I was always a little unsure about going here at first but my daughter insisted it is the best and she was right! Super friendly staff. Very clean and the staff is very knowledgeable about their tanning packages, tanking beds and their products. Would definitely recommend and have to my fitness & family. read more
