I know!!!! What the F am I doing tanning right? Well I need to even out some tan lines for vacation, so it's just a few times at the lowest setting. The girls working here are friendly and helpful. I think the last time I tanned was about 6 or 7 years ago so I was definetly out of the loop. They have $5 tanning every Thursday at levels 1 or 2 for up to the max allowed time. On Wednesdays they have a $15 dollar special that will allow you to tan from that Wednesday through that Sunday at a level 1 or 2 up to the max allowed time. Since I'm only going these few times those specials were ideal for me. Otherwise you could go for $35/month membership. It's CLEAN! Which is always a plus. read more

I have to say I am very impressed with the lombard location. It's very clean and the workers there are very polite and are willing to answer any of your questions. To my surprise this facility has newer beds and when they say they close at 9pm they close at 9pm not 8:45pm like other tanning salons in the area. They have great promotions and specials always going on so make sure that you take advantage of them. Great job love it! read more

I went in last week for customer appreciation day and used the Sun Angel tanning bed forgetting to use the sensor prior to tanning (two measurements that determine the intensity of tanning to prevent burning) and I was unable to increase the settings (I am already tan & wanted the most intensity) so the manager offered to allow me to go back in. I just started tanning. I'd never done it befor. I called this place and the girl on the phone said to come in and she could help me. So I went in with many questions. They were very very helpful. They answered all my questions and were very knowledgeable. They got me started and ready to go. It was clean and the staff were very professional and friendly. I've gone a couple times since my first time. And all the people I've met were all very friendly. One of the workers even helped me with picking out my lotion that I ended up buying. She took the time to ask me my price range and what kind of tan I wanted to get. It made me feel good that they cared to ask me all that instead of just giving me a generic pricey lotion. The staff is very friendly professionals this spa is always clean the beds are well kept up with the bulbs nice and hot.The manager Kara goes above and behind the call of duty and has the place running like a well oiled machine. Since I been a member there I got to know the staff and once I told Kara I'm a Vet that has issues with my left rotator cuff due to combat when we would talk I had a bad week with my arm and she suggested to try the new machine I believe it's called the ""CRYO" When Kara first mentioned it to me and explain how it works I was hesitant to try it because I tried everything else but one day I had so much pain I had to try it. I was shocked that the pain was going for over a week. It was worth the money and if I was not deploying again I'd sign up to get a session per week. I really like this location, it's very near to my house and easy to get to. The girls are all very nice and helpful! The manager actually honored my $3 spray tan coupon for "first time customers only" versus just signing up for the text club (my first thought). She said it would be no problem to give it to me since the wording was confusing. That being said, I have been a very sporadic customer here over the years (for no reason other than money and time). Their weekly specials are a great time to go to get good deals on different level beds and spray tans. Plus the place is very clean and quiet which is how I like it! :) read more

I just wanted to write you today because your tanning salon is a "breathe of fresh air". We heard of La Tan's great promotion on Tuesday's so we started to tan at the Norridge location near our work a few months ago. We live in Forest Park and the next closest one to us is your location which is about a 20 minute drive. I would make my fiance drive all the way out to your location to tan, just because of the great experience we always had. Brie is usually the one always working and she always greets us with a smile and she is very attentive. Telling us about your new promotions of tanning lotions and telling me how I will get browner in the level 1 bed. Which was so true...and no other location has these beds. The Norridge location the workers are really not working....They stand outside and smoke, you are greating with the volume of the music extremely loud. The workers at that location, are always on their personal cell phones or on the internet.... The walls are extremly caked with sprayed tanning lotion. It's very dirty. We also went to the La Tan location on Ashland near Lakeview, and it was clean, but the insides of the tanning booths were horrible, wires hanging from the ceiling, absolutely no music playing at all. The tanning booth's weren't even hot, it's like we weren't even tanning. I just wanted to tell you that your LA TAN is top notch when it comes to the tanning booths in the Chicagoland area..... I've been to other tanning places but nothing compares. Clean! Professional! The best color in any bed, honestly even in a level 1 wonderful color. Every bed has your own personal radio, towel and its so clean that I feel safe stepping barefoot. Every employee friendly polite and knowledgeable about every bed and product. I will never go anywhere else but here! And spray tans? You look like you just went to a tropical island with a nice bronze. No streaking orange like other salons. This is by far the best LA Tan in the Chicagoland area! I lived in Elmhurst so this was my place. I would occasionally go to Winfield because it was conveniently located near work but much preferred Lombard. I have now moved to Lincolnwood and have tried several other locations but travel back to Lombard because it is such a cut above the rest! I have been to the Orland Park and Tinley Park locations and this is the best L.A. Tan that I have been to. At the Orland L.A., I thought the bed was going to break, and at the Tinley one I thought I was going to catch a disease because it was very dirty looking. The Lombard location is so clean! The girls that work there are so nice! They are helpful when it comes to which lotion to pick, and they don't rush you to make a decision when buying a lotion! Definitely recommend! read more

Hello i do not do this usually but things management should know I am a regular client. I am in the top level package at this your company. I do pay 65 dollars amonth to come and relax for ten minutes when i only go usually 4 times a month., Which is worth it. to me as i am a Manager at a grocery store and do not get alot of time off.. Tonight I did want to tan as I did yesterday my first day off in 13 days and I came after work today which I usually do not do after 12 hours at work, Yet I feel good tanning So Walking into the choas that was ensuing, My bed not available ( I found out 3 dollar tans) No big deal I get it. Told 45 min. Ok put me in a level below So I go into Bed 3 get undressed lay down bed will not start. After 2 min trying to figure out as I only go into bed one. Bed Will not go on. Get dressed go out into the choas again and tell the assosiate what was wrong she trys blue button. Then goes switch is tripped? Im thinking you are saying this in front of client's? She flips switch then I get undressed again and lay down I can only stay in 3 MINUTES as the bed was so HOT!!! I come out and I wade through all the girls ( I GET IT) Prom weekend . What bothers me is she goes oh well we are to busy fan s are trying to reset, My But felt so burnt because of the heat as i would not have felt it if fans were on. I will tell you the girls during the day are wonderful. I have a difficult last name I check in they know me and they go you are ready. No big deal to me if I have to wait but I never do as not many people choose to spend the money I do every month to relax for ten minutes.Tonight was RIDICOULOUS and I am thinking of going back to Palm beach tan. This LA Tan is the cleanest salon I have ever been to. The employees take their time discussing their services and are always energetic and courteous. Just wanted to take a quick second to compliment the Eastgate Mall Lombard location LA Tan. I'm over 50 so I've tanned in more than one tanning salon in my life and I have to say this one has been my favorite. Well maintained. Very clean (have been to more than one tanning salons that are just scary gross), updated and cheery. I have also been to salons that I can tell don't change their bulbs regularly because I walked out without any new color and I have NEVER had that problem here, I always walk out with beautiful color. Lastly, I can't say I have ever had a bad experience with any of the girls that work here. They are always Nice, Knowledgeable, and helpful (everytime I decide to try a new lotion they are very patient in helping me find the right one for my skin). Actually, Kara the Manager went as far as spending extra time tracking down a lotion with blush in it for me (hard to find these days, no one seems to be making it anymore). I was so surprised when she called me the following day after we discussed it because I didn't expect her to spend that much time tracking it down. Going that extra mile is what people remember and what makes them come back! Thanks Kara for going the extra mile. Kristin is great too. Although I have been a customer of this salon for almost ten years now you would never know it. In its defense the management is excellent- never had a problem and my concerns are noted however recently I've been throughly turned off by the quality, cleanliness and attentiveness of staff. I mostly spray tan at LA in the booth but have tried to stay away as of late since the booth door is broken and feel like the machine is malfunctioning. In fact I bought a package of 10 spray tans and only got to use one before this door broke. If you've ever been spray tanning you know a lot of the product comes out at once so it is important the door stays shut, well this door handle is now a piece of duck tape they've rigged up and let's the product out nearly choking customers to death outside the booth even those who are not spray tanning as well. When I politely complained the last few times my comments were noted, however last time not only did my spray come out pretty bad but when I asked when this problem would be fixed the girl replied in a snide tone "yeah we're not fixing it" as in "yes we know it's broken but we don't care" at least pretend like you're concerned people. Needless to say they've definitely lost a customer sorry management you're great but you need to get a hold of your customer service and facilities maintenance read more

I went in for a Versa Spa Spray Tan on 4/13/14 around 5pm at the LA Tan in Lombard IL where a woman named Kara is the manager. When I started my session I hit the green start button. The machine said nothing and simply started spraying my front. ( I thought this was odd as usually the Versa Spa welcomes you to start) Then the machine sprayed my back. Then I was instructed for my drying sessions. Then the machine told me to leave the booth as it was done. This was NOT a normal spray session. I paid $27 for the pre and post treatments as well as the bronzer and I was only sprayed once and instructed to leave. I believe I may have only been sprayed with the post spray. I promptly dressed and left the room to tell the girl working that I believed the machine was malfunctioning. She looked at me in disbelief as she consulted the computer. She explained that the computer shows I completed all three treatments. I told her that was impossible as I was in the room for less than 2 minutes. I explained to her exactly what happened and she did not believe me. I felt like a criminal as she kept explaining that the computer says I completed all three treatments. Eventually, the girl runs a test on the machine. She comes back and says the test went fine therefore, I must be lying and my session went fine as well. I continue to stress that my session was not normal. Usually the bronzer has a distinct smell after its application, which I did not notice on my skin. Finally, the girl calls her manager, Kara, to explain the situation. Kara says this has never happened before and also doesn't believe me. The girl working says there was a little bronzer on the cap I was wearing so that also must mean I went through all 3 treatments. Kara, the manager, basically says there is nothing that can be done. I stress that I would like a refund for the spray session that I did not receive so that I could go home and wash off whatever it was that I got sprayed with. Kara then offers that I can pay an ADDITIONAL $10 for a bronzer session. I refused to pay MORE money when I did not even get the original service I paid for. I continue to ask for a refund for the services I did not receive. Eventually after much embarrassment to myself, Kara offers to let me do the bronzing session for no additional charge. All in all this was a horrific experience of customer service, some of the worst I have ever seen. The girl working and the manager made me feel like a criminal and a thief who was "lieing to get a free tan." I feel that their customer service was horrific. I explained to them the malfunction with their machine and they simply did not and would not believe me. To add to the horrific experience I would like to note that the girl working at the LA Tan in Lombard IL that I dealt with was less than professional as she had her cell phone AND a cigarette laying out on the front counter in plain sight. Cigarettes laying around a tanning salon is not a cleanly nor appealing sight. I will never go back to any LA Tan and I will be sure to spread the word of warning about the lack of customer service. This was my first time going to this location I normally go to the one in Hanover Park off of Irvin Park rd which I love. Thought I'd give this location a try since it's close to work I wanted to do the $5 Tuesday tan any level and they charged me or than that for a level 5 the one in Hanover Park charges $5 for a level 6 and their beds are sooo much better. The girls are pretty rude, they don't seem to know what they are doing. Also my friend asked what their highest bed was the girl said a 3and that was a lie because she asked me what level I did and it was a 5. Also we asked what packages did they have and they said they did not have any. By far the worst place I have been too. Rude people, customer service sucks. And to bad mouth another LA tan not professional at all. I do agree it's very very clean and beds are up to date but it's the customer service that counts.. My opinion that's all read more
