After 3 LONG hours getting the highlights and the cut I kept having to have her change some here and there so when I could wear it down it suited my needs. It wasn't exactly what I wanted..I had shown her pictures of the style and the way I wanted chunky highlights. I was so worn down and back hurt so bad at that time I just wanted to get out of there. The next day I put my hair up as usual to be surprised by how uneven she did the color! My left side was light and good; but, my right side was dark. Not wanting to step in the salon again I had to get my own color and dye brown into the highlights light myself. Now I need to figure out how to lighten up my right side! I don't know how to go about that directly. I also had to frame my face with shears so I could have some long bangs as shown to her. I'm not a hairdresser! I'm at a loss of what to do about this. I feel horrible and can't enjoy the over 3 hours of horrible pain and how long the whole process was. I guess I learned an expensive hard lesson..just because the salon may be good..the stylist may be horrible! I told the girl it was my first time there, she showed me the room and the different add ons. I was super impressed. I've never had a spray tan add ons offered to me at the place I frequent. So I got a violet color and moisturizer added. The room was clean and all the things you need for a spray tan were readily available in the room. I didn't realize what I've been missing out on the past couple years. I love a good spray tan and this place took my experience to the next level. I will be back for sure!

Back when I went, there was always a problem with knowing what sales were going on (I'd get a text that they're doing a 20% off spray tan sale for example, then I'd go in and the employee would have no idea what I'm talking about and wouldn't honor the sale. This time, I got a text they're having $20 spray tans so I called to make sure and it was a go. I come by on a Sunday at 10:10am (they open at 10) and the doors are locked and lights are off. I was so confused! A lady drove by and saw and told me this happens sometimes where the employees are late so they don't open at their open time. That's so wild to me! I get if it happens once, but this regular said it happens here and there which is crazy. She was annoyed and left. Just as I was about to leave to their Schaumburg location, their employee walks up and starts unlocking the door. I walk up to her from my car and ask her if they're open today; she doesn't even look at me and says "yeah". She's on FaceTime with someone while she's unlocking the door and I'm just awkwardly standing there. I offer to go wait in my car but she says "no it's okay" without looking up at me at all. She was still on FaceTime and fidgeting with the keys so I told her I'll wait in my car. If you know me, you know I'm a super nice and positive person, so I was very understanding, but she was really unfriendly despite the situation. I waited in my car to give her some time to do whatever she had to do while 2 other customers came in. Once I actually got in, she acted like the place wasn't 30 minutes late to opening. I told her it's been a few years for me so I'm kind of outdated with how the spray tan works (moisturizing, pre tan stuff, which level I should get, etc). She didn't explain a thing and sent me off my merry way. I definitely won't be back. I would have a different outlook if she at least acknowledged the situation and said sorry, but none of that happened. She did say she would honor the cost of the Groupon I found, but reviews show she charges extra without prior notice. I personally don't have the capacity to call a place on five different occasions and fight for an appointment to save a few pennies. Reviews on Yelp are mostly for the keratin treatment. A monkey could do that (I went to beauty school and worked for salons all through my childhood). There are zero reviews on highlighting Indian hair. I was so excited to give this place a chance.
