Sadly this service showed absolutely no noticeable difference as far as I could see with my lashes. I'd get more definition with the cheapest mascara on the market. I was disappointed after laying there for an agonizing amount of time with my eyes closed and so still. The four stars are for Hildy's customer service. I felt so welcome and well taken care of the entire time. She was friendly and clearly had expert knowledge. She even gave me a blanket to make sure I was cozy and comfortable on the table. If I ever give extensions a try I will certainly be going back to her.

After two refills I decided to look into better quality options and came across Hildy through Yelp, and I'm so glad I did. There is a big difference between Hildy's service and my experience at Amazing Lash. First of all, I could tell Hildy really cared about exactly what I wanted in a lash look, and about lash care and health. She's very accommodating, knowledgeable and professional. Her at home lash studio is very comfortable and clean, and her rates are fair - especially for the quality of her work. I also love how easy it is to schedule appointments - just a few quick texts and you're all set (she's very responsive and flexible with scheduling). I always leave loving my lashes and only need a fill about every 4 weeks (I had to go every 2 weeks at Amazing Lash because of the quality - I haven't done anything different care-wise). Go to Hildy for your lash extensions, you won't be disappointed!

My eyebrows have no shape and they're so bare. I had been entertaining the idea of getting my…read moreeyebrows micro bladed for months. So I reached out to Kristina, based off a referral. She went over the whole process with me and gave me my options, and she really put me at ease. I have multiple tattoos on my body, but for some reason this made me nervous! I decided to bite the bullet and do it, and I'm so happy that I did. Since this was something pretty drastic for me to do, I wanted the amount of shading to be subtle. And Kristina found the perfect balance. She gave my brows shape without overdoing the color. Throughout the whole process, she made me feel very comfortable. Kristina checks up on me often to make sure I'm happy, and she gave me a touch up a few weeks later. As the color fades in the future, I'll definitely go back to Kristina again. And I look forward to it! She is so incredibly friendly and personable. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to give microblading a try.

My experience with symmetrical artistry was not good, which was a bummer since it seems to be well…read moreregarded by many. I got powder brows, and the process was fine. I did feel judged for wearing a mask which wasn't cool, but whatever. Comments on my brows during my consultation also were a bit critical which seemed unnecessary. It was kind of everything else that made the whole experience a disaster. As I left my initial powder brows appointment, I scheduled a touch-up (included in service as long as it's within 8 weeks). When I arrived weeks later for my appointment, no one was there. As a matter of full disclosure, I was five minutes late. Yet I was surprised, because I've never been to a place where an employee would walk out the door if a client wasn't there exactly on time. I rang the bell and knocked on the door since it could reasonably be a security measure if someone was alone, but the place was dark and the door was locked. Thinking perhaps folks were running late, I sat on their patio to wait a few minutes. After maybe 10-ish minutes I called the salon number. Five to eight minutes elapsed with no response so I followed the instructions on the voicemail, which said to text for a faster response. I got a text from the owner saying that they were at an event and immediately after the text--whilst taking a screenshot of my confirmation text that I'd received two days prior--she called to say that they didn't have me on the schedule and asked if I had received a confirmation. I forwarded the confirmation and she said that the woman who was doing my brows had asked the day before if she had an appointment. She apologized, I rescheduled, but I'd planned the weekend of child's birthday party around this appointment and turned down plans because they conflicted so I was indeed pretty annoyed. Although it was outside the 8 week timeframe--my appointment was at the 8 week mark--they didn't charge me for going outside the initial touch-up timeframe (which would be expected but not always guaranteed). It would have been nice for them to tell the receptionist that though, since she stopped me as I was leaving thinking I hadn't paid. If I had to make the choice again, I wouldn't do the brows. All I can say is that your mileage may vary. It's undoubtedly a rare occurrence but the schedule thing and lack of communication makes me feel their reliability is suspect. And I'm not sure about going back for touch-ups if I need them in a few years.

The salon I usually go to was booked up, so I figured why not try somewhere new? Big mistake. The lash tech took forever (I was in the chair for 4 hours) and she glued my eyes shut not once but actually twice! After she finally finished the lashes looked terrible, absolutely not what I asked for and way too short. My natural lashes look longer with mascara than this "set" she put on. Clumps of glue everywhere and sparse lashes left all over my face. She asked me 4-5 times "you like it right?!" to which I responded with an unenthusiastic "yeah" because I was so mad I couldn't even talk about it and because I was beyond late after being stuck there way longer than anticipated. On top of all this dissatisfaction, she uncharged me an extra $40 at the end and asked for a second tip. I'm beyond upset and immediately made an appointment for my regular spa to clean up this horrible mess. I sincerely hope she can fix it.
