With winter making a delayed comeback to the Las Vegas area I was on the hunt for some ramen, and seeing Kyuramen on Instagram and Yelp, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the supreme combo which was $26.99. You get a steamed pork bao bun, tonkotsu ramen, matcha pudding with red bean, and a Thai iced tea. All I have to say is that everything I tried makes me want to return again. The bao bun was nicely steamed where the bun itself was moist but not soggy and the pork itself was juicy. The slaw inside had a tasty dressing. With the ramen you can choose white garlic or black garlic and I chose the black garlic. The ramen was perfectly portioned to where you will leave satisfied. If you're able to eat all of your ramen look at the bottom of the bowl because you may win a prize. I won a free Thai iced tea or lemonade for my next visit. The matcha pudding was delicious. The pudding itself has that classic matcha flavor while the red bean provides the sweetness. The interior of the restaurant is what originally made me want to try this ramen place. I had the yin yang bowl which comes with tonkotsu and miso half & half. Their tonkotsu broth was actually very good, it's creamy with the flavors blended in well. The miso however was terrible. It almost tasted like Chinese soup/herbs. Definitely doesn't come close to Sapporo miso. The omurice wasn't bad with curry, but not the best either. But I have to give it an A+ for presentation and the effort it takes to cook it. They come out and present it to you so that you can see them slice the undercooked egg over the fried rice then pour the demi glace to your liking, which is the real draw of this dish. It's a fun place but I thought the ramen needs improvement. From the outside, it doesn't look like "fun" but once you enter you, you will be wowed with the the interior design and decorations. I have the ying/yang ramen bowl. While the meat, the soft-boiled egg, shrimp tempura and zucchini skewer were all tasty, the soup was just lukewarm . It's kind of big No-No for ramen and Asian style food. My friends ramen bowls had the same problem. Although the noodle is not handmade and it's not the traditional thick Japanese ramen doodle I was hoping to get, I enjoyed it in general. We liked the dessert: cherry blossom jelly, matcha pudding with red beans and boba tea with cheese foam. The bobas and tea were fantastic, but the cheese foam was too watery and not enough. Oh man, this place is so popular there is a line when they open at 11am, but it's worth it. The broth is so rich it will take your fine lines and wrinkles away with a spoonful. Server came by and she was able to answer all of our questions especially ones that we're dealing with allergies for my baby! So the ramen was meh because the noodles were overcooked! The broth flavor and chashu were fine. The real winner here is the omurice! Only legit omurice we have found in Vegas. They do the slice and flop right in front of you. We love the demi glace over the curry sauce. The katsu is just meh here, definitely needs some additional seasoning so take the demi glace over it if you want flavor. We really like the popcorn chicken as a protein. The ika geso again not very flavorful alone. We have come here twice just for the omurice. The matcha pudding is also a nice dessert you can get in combo with the omurice. If you set aside the wait time because this place is new and blew up in social media, the food itself was actually very tasty and pretty reasonably priced. You can essentially combo any bowl of ramen with a pork bun and a Thai tea, both of which I enjoyed. The Thai tea wasn't overly sweet but balanced well. The ramen itself was a good portion. Not huge, but the add ins for more noodles and meat aren't too expensive. My wife and I each got a bowl with extra meat and noodles to share with our son. I wish they had a kid sized bowl on the menu but this solution worked fine for us. The fried oyster and gyiza appetizers were bomb as well. I marked Kyuramen near where I live in Pasadena for I've wanted to try their omurice. This location was like a mile from where I was staying in Henderson, NV so I made the trek there. I love the decor in the place which had a real Japan vibe. The booths are shaped in honeycombs so you can "bee" in your own seating area. I got to sit in an upstairs one so I was looking down into the restaurant. It was pretty cool. The waiter was very friendly and helpful since I wasn't sure on parts of my order, mainly the sauce to over the omurice. I went with the demi. I also ordered the tonkatsu version. They bring the rice that is sort of an eye shape with the egg on top. They take a knife and cut length wise and the egg breaks open and oozes over the rice. Then they pour the demi sauce over it. There was some leftover demi which I used to pour over the tonkatsu. The food was amazing and so glad I finally was able to try it. This place is honestly pretty overhyped, especially for what's shown on TikTok. The whole viral moment is those honeycomb-shaped seating areas, but there are only about five tables total, and three of them only seat two people. When I heard we were finally getting a KYU Ramen ( @kyuramen.west coast ) I had to check out. I've been back twice so far! Every time I get the Kyushu Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen ( plus black garlic ), the Takoyaki Octopus Balls are the best I've ever had, and I had to try the Tonkatsu Omurice. I've seen that dish blow up from people traveling to asia and to my knowledge this is the first spot in Vegas with it. It was legendary. When we first walked in, the restaurant was nicely decorated and the ambiance was beautiful. I believe they try to cramp too many tables together. I had got the tonkotsu ramen w/ black garlic. This was recommended by our super nice server. The broth of the ramen was very flavorful. However, the the temperature was not hot or warm at all. And I prefer my food to come out hot and fresh. The omurice with tonkatsu was very overhyped by me lol. I expected to be super amazing but the food all came out so room temperature. Which made the runny eggs not taste as good. The demi glazed sauce was great to put on the eggs thought. The tonkutsu was the only thing fried fresh. Most of it was yummy but one piece had a thick tendon or something, I couldn't chew it. Overall, the service was impeccable. The food can use a lot of improvement (temperature wise), and the ambiance of this restaurant was great. Very beautiful.
