A kendo friend mentioned this restaurant as a good place to eat. It was a 30 minute drive from my hotel but glad I made the trek. They have a nice selection of appetizers, ramen, and rice bowls. I saw agedashi tofu which is a favorite of mine so I like to try it wherever I go. I also ordered tonkotsu ramen. The tofu was very well fried and the sauce was very tasty. I really liked the tokotsu ramen broth which had a very nice flavor. They have 2 versions, salt or soy. I chose salt. The noodles were cooked well and had a good chew. It had the standard toppings (green onions, bean sprouts, pork). I wish there was more bean sprouts because it adds a nice crunch. I'd order extra next time. read more

We drove here on a Saturday night and wondered why the parking was plentiful. We walked in and were able to get seated right away... usually not a good sign for a small ramen spot on a Saturday night. We hadn't been here for several months and just ordered what we called our usual, kara miso ramen. When our food arrived it was hot (temperature) but that was it. It was not tasty at all! We asked for chili oil and flakes but nothing we did to it helped. We were hungry and ate most of our bowls, thinking to each other what's missing. Well, it was flavor. The service was just ok because when I told the server there was no flavor, there was just a response of oh. My comment to him was like an FYI, not an attempt to get it removed from our bill, just a hey, we noticed it is not the same as it has always been. We might go back, but if they are watering down the broth ( what it tasted like), they should have someone with taste buds sample the broth to make sure you keep customers instead of losing them. I ordered the miso and requested thin noodles instead of thick and no corn for $13. I was completely disappointed that for a $13 bowl of ramen, I was only given 1 extremely tiny piece of chaschu. I have never been to a ramen place where they completely skimped on the chaschu. At least give me 3 small pieces instead of the sad tiny piece. I asked the server if that was correct and she said yes, 1 chaschu. Seriously?! On top of that, other ramen places include kikurage mushrooms as a topping and this place did not, and the bowl of ramen itself is smaller than I recalled last time I was here and the smallest bowl of ramen I've ever had. This place is tiny like the majority of Ramen restaurants. The ambiance is basically wood. I don't know how else to describe it lots of light colored wood. Food is reasonably priced. We had the Kara miso ramen with thick noodles. It's a spicy miso but so flavorful. The only complaints I would have is that there was only one slice of pork in the ramen and one size only. Quaint ramen place away from the busy Chinatown area just east of the Strip. Typically, good Asian food is found on the west or southwest side of town but we were in the area and decided to give it a try.
