Disappointing Flavors, But a Hardworking Staff I visited hoping for a satisfying Japanese meal, but unfortunately the food fell short on almost every front. The Ultimate Ramen, despite its name, was underwhelming -- mediocre at best, lacking the depth and richness you'd expect from a bowl with that kind of billing. The sushi rolls were equally disappointing. Both the California Roll and the Philly Roll suffered from bland, flavorless rice -- the foundation of any good sushi. The sweetness and tanginess that should come through in well-seasoned sushi rice were completely absent. The Philly Roll was especially let down by the cream cheese, which had virtually no taste and added nothing to the roll. Even the wasabi lacked any real heat or pungency, which honestly surprised me the most. The one bright spot was the service. Our server was working the floor entirely on her own and still managed to be attentive and pleasant throughout. That kind of dedication deserves recognition. Overall, the kitchen needs to revisit its seasoning and flavor profiles across the board. With some attention to the basics properly seasoned rice, quality ingredients, and bold condiments,this place could be so much better. For now, it's hard to recommend. read more

Wonderful little Ramen spot off the strip (but not too far). Garrett was amazing and attentive to our service. Ordered the Black Garlic and Akyu Spicy bowls, with a side of Edamame. Jazz was our server for our group of 6 and she was fantastic! Very attentive, helpful, and so friendly. We love her! :) There's plenty of free parking outside and the interior is clean. We love the decor theme and the story behind it. Moderate noise inside but you can still talk comfortably. The food was great but we do have some feedback. Alcohol prices were very fair and we appreciated that the glasses were chilled and pours were generous. Our group ordered takoyaki, fried gyoza, and several bowls of ramen. We all thought the ramen was about an 8/10 and flavors were good. The toppings are great (ramen egg was cooked perfectly and chashu was thick). When you walk in you see a sign to wait to be seated. A lady told us she would be right with us and proceeded to talk to almost every table before coming over to seat us. The Black Garlic Ramen: the broth is suppose to shine- and this truly truly tasted like water...with black specks of nothing- not even a pepper taste. The pork chashu...was flavorless- we took it out to try on its own and it was plain- put it back together and it was not it. It was also fairly tough for chashu. The noodles were also super super soft. Tiger Roll- the roll has shrimp tempura, avocado, and spicy tuna. The spicy tuna was just off tasting unfortunately. Found this little gem located in Las Vegas, Nevada very small quaint but very home feels and lots of space and the restaurant and restroom were very clean and that was a plus in my book.
