I took my friend out to eat at Kyuramen for her birthday. We both had been wanting to try this place out for a while now. At first the restaurant seemed super nice and quiet. We requested to get seated in a booth and the employees were super nice about getting us a booth. We both loved that the booth had a place to store our jackets. After looking at the menu I first ordered a Thai iced tea and it was so good and very refreshing. For appetizer we ordered two pork bao buns and they were so soft and delicious. For ramen we both ordered two different kinds of ramens. I got the Sapporo Miso Ramen and my friend got the Korean Kimchi Ramen. Both Ramens tasted delicious. The server who was assisting us offered us a free dessert for celebrating my friends birthday. That was so sweet of them to do!! I definitely want to go back to try the Omurice they offer. This is the perfect spot to catch up with a friend or go on a date with your other half. This place was delicious and I can definitely see myself going back on a rainy day with a friend. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Their social media presence is spectacular and makes you want to come in and eat everything. From the moment you walk in, you can absolutely tell that they are still going through their opening process. The tables were dirty and had dishes from previous customers that had yet to be picked up. I'm sure they're also dealing with staffing shortages. We got one of the private booths which had a button to request service. When we pushed the button, the server popped up and was practically irritated. We simply just wanted to place our order. We ordered quickly and then different people came in over the next 20ish minutes to drop off our food and drinks. I don't think I'll come here again. The ramen was mediocre at best with many other options in the Twin Cities. But I would go there simply for their Amazing Lemonade. Food: Steam Pork Bun: 2/5. There was very little flavor in this pork bun. Not to mention it was quite soggy. Pan Fried Gyoza Dumplings: 2/5. Like the pork buns, they were incredibly soggy. You'd think they were steamed rather than pan fried. Would absolutely not order these again. #1 & #6 Ramen: 3/5. All you could smell and taste was garlic in both dishes. They were your average bowl of ramen. Nothing special or unique. read more

So glad I stopped in here for lunch, and loved all the dishes we ordered. We got the Kyushu Tonkotsu Shio, Popcorn Chicken, Steam Pork Bao Bun and the infamous Omurice with Curry Sauce. The Kyushu Tonkotsu Shio ramen had a creamy base and I went with the white garlic. Theres an option to choose white or black garlic and how it was explain to me was, the black garlic is more flavorful. Although, I felt the white one was already perfect. The popcorn chicken was for my son but it was so flavorful and crunchy. It had a savory sweet taste to it. The steam bao bun is braised pork belly with a spicy sauce. I love my spice so if this is spicy to me, it's pretty spicy. The bun was fluffy and not soaking in sauce like others I've had before. The omurice curry was much better than what I expected. When they bring it out to you, they'll ask if you want a video and the only answer should be "YES!" The curry sauce was not too powerful and goes so well with the egg and rice. My son, who doesn't even like eggs, said that he really loves the omurice. Also, the rice comes with either the Amazing Lemonade or the Thai Tea. We went with the lemonade and idk why but it was so good too! It had a hint of cucumber or was it lime - can't remember but it's not too sour or too sweet. So good, we got another one to go. There was definitely plenty of seating area for large and small groups. I saw some privacy booths with curtains and was hoping to sit in one. But we were seated in the main room, no big deal, there wasn't a lot of people on a Saturday afternoon so food came out quick. Service was amazing and everyone was so helpful and kind. Parking lot is shared among the other shops on the strip mall, so there's plenty of room. They also have a boba counter and self serve kiosk if you decide to only go for the drinks or take some food out. Which we stop by and got some boba and fruit teas after the meal. Definitely worth coming back here! read more

I thoroughly enjoyed this meal!! I ordered the Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu it has Pork Chashu, Bamboo Shoots, Wakame, Half a Marinated Egg, Nori, Corn, Scallions in a really delicious Pork Broth. I got mine with black garlic and added some of the awesome condiments that come on the table. I also had an amazing lemonade that was very nice and refreshing, not too sweet and it had very thin cucumber slices in it. I loved the presentation of the omurice! One of my friends really loved it and the other thought it was going to be something different and felt it was more like egg and gravy. We sat in one of the cute side rooms that has a curtain and feels like your own private little booth. The server was very patient as it took our party awhile to all get there and to order. Only thing with those rooms if you have a big group be prepared that they can't split to individual bills. Either one person can pay and the rest pay them back or you can do like we did and split the bill into checks of three. I really really loved the pork broth. Someone else might have a different taste but I'd definitely go back!!! read more

Overall the service was good and the ramen was ok. We have had much more flavorful ramen which is why I give it lower stars. They do have seasoning at the table to add spice but it didn't add much to the flavor. We ordered the spring rolls also and they were ok but a little mushy for our liking. Overall it was ok but we wouldn't have to go back. read more

Kyuramen - Chicken ramen - Ramen Near Me - Eagan, Minnesota

New ramen in town so have to check it out. Conveniently there is a T-baar boba right inside. Didn't have good experience from the one in Illinois but this one is way better! For some, it is much sweeter but I have a sweet tooth so it was perfect sweetness. Came here on a Saturday night at 630 for 12 people. It only took about 30 mins we got seated. Can't make a reservation so you have to be there. The dining area isn't too but but they have these nice private booths for big parties. It was cool. Can fit about 8-12 max. They have a button to call the server once you're ready to order. There's a lot of different ramen choices. A good amount of appetizers. Some things might not be on the menu like the egg over rice so ask for it if you want it. Appetizers- pretty much everything was good. Chicken karaage was a little dry. Pork belly had a lot of fat as you can see. Not my type of food but for those who likes pork belly maybe you'll enjoy it. It is a bit pricey. Ramen- I got 2 ramen mild spicy. It didn't tasty a little spicy at all and broth is a little bland to be honest. I had a sip of #1 Tokyo Tonkotsu and I think it is much better not as bland. #4 Sapporo miso ramen, not a fan either. The broth honestly tasted like the broth that you eat at hotpot spicy flavor. Doesn't taste like the typical miso ramen I've had before. Pork tonkatsu omurice combo- comes with tonkatsu, egg and fried rice plus a choice of lemonade or Thai tea. The cut the egg and pour the sauce at the table. A little cool. It seems cool through videos before eating but the taste is pretty normal. Overall, I enjoyed the appetizers more than the ramen which is a shame. May be coming back to try #1 for myself or the curry ramen that looks pretty good. Saw that they have offer half and half so might try that next time if it's still available. The staff was quite attentive in the beginning but towards the end after pressing the button many times they didn't come to get more orders. One of our order was wrong and was never brought out and the person ended up waiting an extra 30 mins after everyone already got their food and pretty much finished. Not sure what happened there but they didn't do anything about it. Maybe better next time. read more

When I heard that Kyuramen opened a location in Eagan with Tbaar, my work friend and I decided to go for dinner. I got the curry ramen and strawberry green tea with cheese foam and both were pretty solid. I loved the fact that they also had some chili options on the side that you could add to your ramen (of course I loaded up on the pickled chiles, which complimented well with the creamy curry). The char siu was flavorful, egg was nice and jammy and there was a good amount of noodles and toppings. There's definitely some new spot logistics that needs to be ironed our (my friend got her ramen before our boba even arrived and I got my ramen 5 min or so later), but I'm glad to have another ramen option and a super solid boba option in Eagan, and would definitely come back. read more

Saw this place on Tiktok and decided to check it out. Visited on a Tuesday for Dinner around 6pm and it wasn't too busy but by the time my friend and I left around 7:30/8PM it was definitely more a bit more busy. We ended up sharing the popcorn chicken and it had decent flavor but the batter was just okay. The ramen itself wasn't too bad but definitely felt a bit Americanized similarly to Ichido Ramen but maybe had a slightly better broth than Ichido. I got the Kyushu Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen with level 3 spice and it wasn't that spicy. I had to add some more of the spices at the table to make it even spicier. Not the best ramen I've ever had but it would probably satisfy a craving. The pork chashu was at least tender but they give the thinnest slices. Another disappointing part was that their combos are set and you're not allowed to pick which ramens off the menu you want. You just have to go with the default ones. I also got the mango lemonade which was tasty. 50% was perfect amount of sweetness for me. And I got an order to go for my partner and got to try the Thai tea and the classic omurice (which isn't on the main menu, it's on a little plastic standing menu at the table). Thai tea was really tasty and the omurice has some nice flavors going on. All in all I think it's a alright place to go if you're not looking for authenticity and just want some yummy food. Probably a bit overhyped but still glad I went to try it out. read more

Great dine-in experience! The ramen tastes great, and the decoration is lovely. However, for takeout, the packaging could be improved. The box for the noodles is too small, which causes them to become mushy and stick together when i get home. read more

OVERALL: Great ramen spot in Eagan! FOOD: They have a large variety of broths and different topping options. For non-ramen lovers they also have omurice (which is one of my favorites!) some broths are definitely more flavorful than others. SERVICE: it's pretty fast, push a button when you're ready to order. I've always sat in the booths so it makes it hard to actually know when your water needs to be refilled from the servers. PRICE: I think this is my number 1 knock of this place. I'd be more open to coming more often at a more reasonable price point. For being in the suburbs, they're charging $3-5 more than quality city ramen. Each bowl is around $16-18 and the omurice is $20! For me, this price point is something id expect from a nicer ramen spot. Still would recommend at least once, just probably not a regular place. read more

Kyuramen - Okonomiyaki! Another rare dish you don't see in many restaurants. - Ramen Near Me - Eagan, Minnesota

WARNING... watch your bill to make sure you are not overcharged! Yesterday evening is the second time we came here...it was excellent the first time. We were seated promptly, then basically ignored for a long time....We would have left, but the grandkids wanted to come back here so we waited. After several failed attempts to lure someone over, someone finally arrived to acknowledge us and take our order. The food was overall good, and once we were waited on the service was good. When the bill arrived we got charged for a bottle of wine, when, in fact, I had only ordered a glass of wine. When we told the waiter he apologized, said it was his mistake...then said you ordered two glasses of wine, right? I repeated I had only ordered and received one glass. He had to revise the ticket and recharge the card, which we will be watching like a hawk to make sure we are not billed twice. read more

We had never eaten this type of cuisine before. The waiter was friendly and answered our questions but could perhaps have guided us more or offered more explanation or suggestions. We had a good time doing something new and different. Neither of us loved our choices but that is not a reflection on the restaurant but on our lack of knowledge of what to pick that would please us. Other customers seemed to be regulars or at least very at home and familiar with the place and were clearly having a great time and relishing their meals. read more

Delicious, tasty Ramen! My favorite ramen was the Classic Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu Ramen. Save your extra dollar and just get black pepper instead of the white pepper option. I really couldn't tell the difference between the two. I didn't care for the Pork Bao Buns, but my niece said they were her favorite. Our family of 4 had so much fun trying out the private booths. We loved the call button feature inside the private booths for whenever we wanted our waiter; he always came within a few seconds of pressing this button! The brown sugar matcha bubble tea was SO Good!!! The "show" for when they cut open the Japanese Omurice was cool, but the Omurice itself was not delicious; it just tasted like scrambled eggs topped with a salty brown gravy. We'll definitely be back for more ramen and boba tea soon though! read more

nice restaurant atmosphere. food was good but overpriced. I thought it was just ok.

I came here on a double date. None of us had been there before and absolutely loved the food and our time there. I ordered ramen and was afraid there won't be enough ramen so I got extra noodles. Turned out I didn't need the extra noodles because the portions were good. My hubby ordered the omurice, and it was so cool to experience the waitress cutting the egg open. See video for reference. The lemonade was a great surprise. There was mint and cucumber in it which made it more refreshing. Our waitress seemed confused about a few things. Not sure what it was. Finally! A ramen restaurant in the south suburbs of the twin cities. My 4/5 rating is specifically for their omurice, the ramen I would rate a 2.5/5. The noodles and broth of the ramen was nothing notable. I could tell the noodles were just bought from a grocery store. I would consider myself a ramen connoisseur of sorts because I absolutely love it and tried it all throughout the states and in Japan. That being said, I am a bit picky. Omurice was a very nice surprise, the eggs were perfect texture on top and the rice had adequate garlic salty sesame seasoning. I enjoyed the boba I got as well. I would definitely come back for boba and the omurice! read more

I was so excited to try Kyuramen after hearing the hype, and I'm glad I did! The space and menu options provide a fun experience. I was expecting a little more flavor-wise but am interested in returning to try other items and increase the spice level. A friend and I visited on a busy Saturday evening but were still able to get a spot without a wait. We started off sharing the takoyaki octopus balls, which was my favorite part of the meal - super flavorful! We were excited about the option to create combos with our ramen, which included a steamed pork bao bun and drink. The combo is a great deal! For my main course, I chose the Tokyo tonkotsu shouyu. As I said at the beginning of my review, I was hoping for a bit more flavor but was still happy with it. Next time, I'll opt for spicier. I was really excited to try this place but I thought it was average. The few things that I really enjoyed was the iced Thai tea, pork bun, and the kimchi. The fried oysters were not good. food insta@ xcyanneats @kyuramen.official in Eagan, Minnesota Latest ramen spot that opened up and is about 30 mins away from home. Was it worth the drive? I can definitely say so. I definitely could've added the spices shown but I wanted to enjoy it and will be coming back for more. Although the broth wasn't as thick as I thought it was, the flavor was still packing! The first of Minnesota. Best believe there will be more shops opening up with this variety of Japanese cuisines and flavors. Starters: Appetizers were average. Had the popcorn chicken and fried oysters. Not big. Special but it wasn't bad either. 7/10 Entrees: The star of this place is the omurice which you see on TikTok and all the food medias. This did not disappoint and it was presented well and tasted phenomenal. Highly recommend to give this one a try! Ramen was also very good. I've always believed that the hallmark of a good soup is how much is left of it when you're all done eating it. You know the feeling. There's noodles, there's vegetables, there's meat if you eat it - sometimes in all that cacophony, the soup just becomes a background to everything else. Not here. Here, the broth is front and center and unapologetically the star, and I thank Kyuramen for it. I'm a broth babe. I can't be any other kind of babe, so a broth babe is what I've (gladly) settled for in terms of identity, but I really do have an appreciation for places and people that can craft fantastically complex and layered flavor profiles starting from water. Tell me that isn't magic. I'll wait. This place has so much to choose from in terms of variation on broths. Tonkotsu is a given, but shio or shoyu? Want to be a little creative and stray from the traditional? They've got you covered with kimchi and curry options too. Don't eat pork? There's chicken or veggie broths instead! For our meal, we went for the combo special that included a tonkotsu shio ramen and a miso ramen with your choice of spice (I went for mild), popcorn chicken to start, and two desserts to finish: a matcha red bean flan and a cherry blossom jelly. First - the broths (of course). The tonkotsu shio broth was deliciously delicate with a hint of sweetness to it where the miso broth had that addictingly funky salty taste and while I ordered mild for spice, it definitely had a good kick to it - perfect for these chilly Minnesota nights. I could easily drink either endlessly, no problem. As for the noodles - they're alright. I've had better noodles, but they get the job done and they're not mushy or stingy with the serving size. In addition to the noodles, there are plenty of other goodies in the ramen - bamboo shoots, scallions, an egg, and plenty of nori to add to the umami vibe of the whole dish. The popcorn chicken was also great - best when eaten fresh and hot - and the desserts were also nice to finish off the meal (although we were really full by this point and still took home 2/3 of the popcorn chicken). The matcha flan is well, grassy, and incredibly rich - perfect for matcha lovers. The jelly was nice and light and a perfect compliment to such a rich and heavy meal, and we preferred that over the flan. As far as cherry blossoms, if cherry blossoms taste like a very light lychee flavor, I guess I'm in! Even if you don't like ramen, I felt like there were plenty of options that are worth exploring that I know for sure I'll be going back for - omurice, and plenty of appetizers that look perfect for happy hour vibes. There's a boba shop in there too just in case you can stuff more in your stomach after your meal with a bunch of things that look interesting as well - crepe cake? Yes please. To the owners if you're reading this: I'm not a consultant by any means, but if you put a beer on the menu, I'll love you forever. You have sake. You have even have soju! I'm not asking for much, slap a Sapporo on there and upcharge me $6 for a bottle, I don't care. But I saw that squid karaage on there, and without a beer?! If, by chance, you happen to implement this change and you make more money, I won't say no to a consulting check mailed to me. Much like this review, the meal was long. It was fulfilling. And most important of all, the broth was all finished by the end of it. Kyuramen is a welcome addition to Eagan and the south metro, and while I can't compare to how this location stacks up to other locations nationwide, I am happy to say that the experience it has presented so far has been an incredibly satisfying one. Chicken soup for the soul? That's so 2000s. Ramen for the soul is more like it. read more

Located at a strip mall - easy to get to and plenty of parking! We went on a Friday evening and got seated right away. It was busy but not slammed. I love the service, our waitress was so friendly. She brought water out and I loved that it was lemon flavored water. She even offered us specials; we wanted to order the popcorn chicken but she told us since we ordered ramen we can get half of an order of popcorn chicken as a side for way cheaper. Since we got two orders of ramen we were able to get two half popcorn chicken for half the appetizer sized price. It showed she was paying attention to what we ordered, and we saved money! We got the popcorn chicken (4/5), pan fried gyoza dumplings (4/5), Kyushu spicy tonkotsu ramen (hot spice level) (5/5), chicken ramen (3/5), and Thai tea (courtesy of Yelp check in) (5/5). Everything was good esp the kyushu spicy ramen. I love that the half of an order popcorn chicken was plenty - big portion. Didn't come with sauce, which it should. I wished the chicken ramen had more flavor, it was pretty bland if you don't add spice to it. It didn't help that the chicken was grilled and not fried. Overall, would go again and try other things on the menu. read more

This is my second time at a Kyuramen as my first was in oak park, Illinois. I must say I'll give them credit for being consistent and it's great to see them expand to other states - especially Minnesota! The decor and setup was similar to the one in illinois as they use a lot of bamboo furnishing, big lanterns, and Japanese linen curtains. It's fun that they have the private rooms as an option as well! I ordered the shrimp and pork ramen couple since I really wanted to try their double ramen flavor dish, which I thought was a genius idea since it's so hard To pick ramen flavors. Both of the broths were tasty and it was the perfect serving size. I also had the Thai iced tea after checking in on Yelp!! (Limit one per table though) Our servers were attentive and fun as one of them even made a training chopstick for one of our guests at the table :) Right when you enter there's the tbaar boba shop that you can order from in the restaurant and they were pretty tasty as well - Definitely coming back when I'm in the area and rooting for this chain! read more

Ramen lovers unite! I first saw this restaurant on Tik Tok and knew I had to try it out. Our group tried to plan accordingly based on previous reviews about long wait time. We waited around 45 minutes for a table which isn't too bad for a restaurant that has just opened. They offer a quick service counter in front of the restaurant where you can snack on small appetizers and order milk teas while you wait for a table. The Amazing Lemonade was super refreshing and not super tart/sweet - it even has little slices of cucumbers and other fun things in it which gives it a nice herbal taste to it. Highly recommend getting the Thai tea! It was the perfect pairing to go with the richness of the ramen. We ordered the Rich Tonkotsu (level 2 spice) and Sapporo Miso (level 3 spice) ramens which were both super flavorful and the noodles were a good consistency. As a spice lover, I do think that the highest level of spice (level 3) was pretty mild compared to other ramens I have tried. We were really looking forward to trying the pork buns that we kept seeing at other tables but after an hour of no sign of our order, we unfortunately decided to cancel the order. Overall, I think this is a solid ramen spot for the Twin Cities and I am excited to see how they evolve over the course of their time being open. I hope to come back to try some the other options on the menu as well as finally try those pork buns :) read more

Buried in what was once a dying strip mall in Eagan; is a warm haven of a ramen goodness! Maybe it was the bitter cold Minnesota day, but when you walk in you feel like you've walked into sunshine. The decor of warm wood tones and red lanterns sets a great ambiance. We came to check the place out and ended up ordering a couple bowls of ramen. My daughters is vegetarian and it is always a hit when there is a veggie ramen is on the menu. The broth had a fruity undertone, almost as if pineapple flavor. Filled with slices of carrot and broccoli florets it had great eye appeal too. We also ordered the A2 combo with the classic Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen, a bao and Thai tea, a really great deal. This also delivered on flavor. We ordered a couple of teas too and they were super tasty. I forgot to take a picture of the tea menu but the piña colada with lychee jelly was delicious. The table next to us orders the Japanese Omurice and it was stunning and smelt so full of flavor. Will be back to try it. The vegetarian daughter will be having her birthday there next weekend. They don't take reservations so we shall see how that works out on a busy Saturday night. Super lucky to have another ramen option in Eagan! read more
