Our son wanted to try real Ramen in a restaurant for the first time, and we were so excited! We had gotten takeout from Ichiddo a few years ago, but hadn't been back since. We got there at 5 o'clock on a Saturday night and it was full! We were greeted right away and were told it would be a five minute wait. Three more groups people came in after us within that five minutes! We were walked through the main dining room and brought to our table in a little side room with seating for only two groups. It was lively and busy in the main dining room, but very quiet in the side room. I would have loved to be seated in the main room where there was music and a little more life, but we were happy to get a table. My son had the Niku Soba Ramen, my husband had the Terriyaki Ton Ramen, and I had the Char Siu Donburi. All were fantastic, flavors were rich, and the portions were large. I took a third home for leftovers, and my son took half home for leftovers to share with his sister the next day. Even as leftovers, the food was delicious! I have to rate this a 1 star because I was disgusted. We were waiting for our Bonchon order (Bonchon is next door) to be completed. I seen that Ichiddo has bubble tea so we stopped over to look at the menu. The menu listed 2 general prices for the teas which I assumed were for different sizes but apparently the default was large and the price was still marked up 2-3$ more than what the menu said (without adding extras). That was the first red flag. Then while the man behind the counter was making the drinks I seen him licking his fingers which was gross. He seen I saw him do it and still continued to make drinks without washing his hands. That is GROSS. It's especially disgusting post Covid times (it would have been gross before Covid as well). Food was pretty good and the portions are generous. I got the char siu donburi and it was great! If I get it again, I would ask for light mayo on it though. But overall it was pretty good The staff are super friendly and attentive as well. There were a lot of people on dates here when I went so it looks like a fairly popular location. read more

I'm glad I came here. The waitress was very nice and the atmosphere was wonderful. I loved how clean the place was. I ordered a hot sake, Takoyaki and the Niku Soba with extra toppings of black fungus, enoki mushrooms and a half boiled egg. Both so delicious! If I didn't drink all that sake and half the water, I would have emptied the bowl. The broth was soooooo delicious! Just arrived in MN and needed to get a quick bite. Found this next to my hotel Marriott, so that was perfect. Was greeted immediately and the interior was nice and cozy. I felt the seating could be a little higher. Simple menu and pretty straight forward. Not your typical Japanese ramen with some missing flavors like miso or shoyu ramen, overall selection was good. I had the vegetable ramen, broth was tasty but vegetables was kinda lacking. Restaurant was clean, I observed sanitizing bucket being used. I am absolutely obsessed with this place! The ramen is perfectly authentic and tastes amazing - the prok belly is my favorite. Also, there are lots of yummy appetizers. Limited drink options and the sodas come in cans (not something I mind, just an fyi). The restaurant is quite small, which makes it a wonderful intimate experience. I was seated quickly with menus and a good beverage list from sakes and Japanese sodas. Ramen prices are about $11-14 depending the kind you get! I got the Teriyaki Ton Ramen with a small size of Kimchi for about $13. The dish came out hot but not scorching. I loved that I could see all the add ins on top and immediately mixed it all in. The ramen was al dente in texture and the broth was flavorful with the additional of chili-garlic paste. The hostess working there around 8:50pm, 3/28/23 was extremely rude. When we were waiting to get seated she came with an annoyed attitude. After seating us I had a question whether their noodles are the thin or thick egg noodles. She gives me an irritated expression on her face and gives off an attitude saying "it's all egg noodles" then continues to give off that annoyed behavior. Then when I called her out and asked her why she's giving me an attitude she says I'll call the manager for you and walks away. We left with disappointment and didn't even want to risk our foods being spit on. Poor service and horrible hostess. The owner gaslighting the story. You were not present at all and I have two other's that accompanied me and yes customers saw exactly what happened. So don't try to make it seem like we came in the restaurant mad. There is no customers that's trying to eat, go in a restaurant to be mean and curse for no reason unless they are drunk. I believe you are just trying to save face. All I can say is, be respectful to customers and manage your employees to be polite when seating them and not make them feel unwelcome with an annoyed attitude. The world will see the truth. It was a cold, rainy day and a hot bowl of ramen sounded like a good way to spend my lunch time. It ended up being the perfect choice. I decided on the crispy chicken ramen, even though the char siu ramen also sounded very appetizing. The crispy chicken ramen tasted great. The chicken itself had good flavor, and all of the other ingredients worked well together. I also liked that the sprouts were nice and crisp, not soggy. The portion size was very generous. I actually didn't finish the whole bowl before I was full. I found the spiciness to be just right for my taste. Enough spice to be noticed, but not so strong that it would be unpleasant. The decor is done well. The service was horrible. My nephew asked what flavor the yellow Boba was, and was told I don't know, maybe Taro....definitely not Taro. Server was unhelpful, and mumbled when speaking. Was not very busy, and didn't receive much assistance during the meal. The pork belly in the Ramen was overcooked. Burnt meat in soup? I love ramen and was so happy to find this gem in Maple Grove. I've been here twice and have ordered a few different ramen dishes and their appetizers. They were fantastic. Service was ok. I'd like to try their takeout to see how well their ramen travels. The Food: Apps: Gyoza - 5/5. Full of flavor and the sauce was not too sweet but just right. Chicken Wings - 4/5, could have used a bit more meat on the wings, but still had plenty of flavor. Calamari - 5/5. These were huge! While they come with their special sauce, I thought they tasted better with the gyoza sauce. Ramens: Char Siu Ramen - 5/5. I loved this. The soup was so full of flavor and the noodles were cooked to perfection. I wasn't able to finish this dish, but it was great the next day! Beef Ramen - 5/5. Basically the above ramen with ground beef. Most of their ramens had a similar base with the differences mainly being the toppings & any additional sauces. I is sorry sarsy...I just be loving Ichiddo...I have been there now a handful of times, and it do be satisfying my ramen cravings (Ilian accent from Wheel of Time...one day here you will know what that means...) Yes, it is a chain...yes, it is somewhat over priced...but by golly gee wizz it is tasty! I got the Char Siu Ramen with extra broth and omg the broth was so flavorful. I do wish it came with half egg and black oyster mushrooms but I still enjoyed the ramen without those. It did come with fish cake, nori slice, and was a generous portion. We finally got a chance to try out the new Rameb place in Maple Grove which was a NEED for me since I've been under the weather! Snuck in during the lunch rush and was quickly sat, the atmosphere is pretty nice love the spoons on the wall and the tables remind you of bamboo and I love it!! Only bummer and why I give it a 4 is we both got the crispy chicken sticky buns. I do have to say it needed some kind of slaw to give it a good crunch instead of the rather large piece of lettuce was not the right fit for a small piece of chicken and the buns were big then leaving a lot of extra with nothing. Staff is incredible, super attentive and on top of everything! Ramen... Teriyaki Ton Ramen...omg! Yes please and can I have it weekly! We also got the chicken stir fry ramen and I enjoyed it, was very heavy bean sprouts but would order again I'd just ask for less! Flanken short ribs menu picture shows six pieces but I got four. When I complained it was pointed out the the small text said "4 pieces." Cute trick, don't expect me to come back. Flavor on the ribs was nonexistent, even dousing them in soy did not help. Wife's goyoza were nothing to write home about. Not much filling, not much flavor Ho, hum ... A friend and I decided to spontaneously check this place out. We came late in the evening and other than two friends, we were the only ones there. We started off by ordering the Japanese soda. I got orange and my friend got strawberry. As we waited for our ramen (a short 5 minute wait) we took note of their interior. Although small, the space is used beautifully. The interior design seemed to be moody and screams perfect for date nights. Our ramen came out and it smelled amazing. We got the ones with chicken because we were a little nervous about trying something so drastically new, but I am so glad we did! The ingredients blended together so nicely and I felt like there was a party in my mouth with how delicious it was. If you're super white like me, it might seem a little spicy, but it was the good kind of spicy (not like unbearable kind where you feel like you're going to pass away). Our server informed us that they were closing soon and we quickly finished up. We didn't feel rushed and our check came after I asked about it. I think for the price, the quality, and for the atmosphere it was all a very pleasant experience. I used the restroom on my way out and it was clean and tidy. The portion of meat was great, but even though it was sitting in the broth the meat was still tough and dry. This is one of the closest/quickest ramen spots to us and while it isn't the best, it's good enough. We ordered some sides, like dumplings and fried rice and takoyaki, all of which tasted good.
