I went here to try ramen for the first time and since then I have been all about ramen. Very glad I went here first for quality food.

I generally would avoid a Ramen place but I'm glad I didn't! I got the fried rice with added chicken (+$2) and they were so helpful in making it GF for me, asking the cook and being honest if something wouldn't taste good with out a specific ingredient which is something I always appreciate. Oh man, when the fried rice came and I took the first bite, I can say that it is THE BEST fried rice I have eaten so far. The flavors were rich and savory and the texture of the rice was soft. The chicken was the best part because of the consistency of tenderness. I have had many experiences where chicken was over cooked and dry and had no flavor. I can't say much about their ramen, but their friend rice with chicken is the way to go! So impressed and happy with the quality of food and service. I will definitely stop by again! read more

If you've got something to do.... probably want to consider a different restaurant. We went the first week of its opening and noticed the tortoise like nature in which they seat you and serve you. When we first arrived their were spots open but it took at least 15 mins to wait then a crowd came in after and you could see it was about to get out of hand. After being seated my wife and I ordered 2 yes 2 Char Siu buns and an order of Gyoza which is pictured. The Gyoza came immediately and tasted really good. They had a nice light crunch to them and the pork filling was good. Next our ramen came absent the pork buns and eventually a pork bun arrived... my wife noticed that they took our other one to a table. No worries though. I figured hey why not tell them we are missing one. So being a good husband I gave my wife the first(and what we'd soon discover only) pork bun. When presented with this problem our waitress decided to print the receipt showing us we only ordered on. Now if I say we ordered 2 and your receipt is incorrect why not just add another one basic business practice. However, arguing with me about what I ordered should not happen. Next we received our ramen which was good. Noodles were a nice texture and the broth was developed. Egg was cooked just the way I liked it and the broth was spicy but not too spicy! We eventually had the waitress add a bun(that we never received and were charged for) but we had her correct that. We did go back and tried the jalapeño with crab and different Ramens. The service was better the second time around. Again great flavors and an enjoyable atmosphere. Would definitely go back and explore other options on the menu. Also service isn't terrible just need to work on the better serving techniques. All in all I would recommend going to this restaurant. Also for those that had a bad first experience I understand. I'd say try again it's gotten a lot better read more

We obviously came for the ramen, and while the noodles and everything on the side in the char siu bowl was good, the pork was overcooked and actually a little dry. The portion of meat was great, but even though it was sitting in the broth the meat was still tough and dry. This is one of the closest/quickest ramen spots to us and while it isn't the best, it's good enough. We ordered some sides, like dumplings and fried rice and takoyaki, all of which tasted good. We had a daughter with us, who has an egg allergy, and they were accommodating and helpful in making sure we were getting egg-free options/substitutions for her. read more

Every visit to Ichiddo I am never disappointed. A lot of care and love is put into every bowl of ramen and that shows with the taste and feeling of satisfaction after finishing one of their bowls of ramen. Most of the time it's very quiet inside, and that's good. I can enjoy my personal bowl of ramen and the sides I order and take it in. The service is always good there and I have no complaints whatsoever during my visits there. read more

It was overall, a good experience the ambiance was there, the server was cool, and the food was delicious.

Got take out via bitesquad. Ordered 1 Fried Chicken Ramen and 1 Char Siu Ramen with extra Char Siu. Got 2 Fried Chicken Ramens. I was a little disappointed I didn't get to try their Char Siu but the chicken was pretty good! The chicken was crispy and tender. I don't think there was enough broth. The broth was nicely flavored and not too salty. Got refunded by bite squad for the char siu ramen. overall would recommend for takeout as it heats up well. read more

From now, I have my favorite place to get a real ramen. This place is amazing! We ordered pork bun, seafood ramen and beef ramen. Everything was so tasty! The restaurant was packed by the time when we arrived, but they quickly found table for us. Their service is attentive and fast. read more

Awesome Ramen. Not at all like the $0.19 packages I remember from college. Went for lunch with some colleagues. It's in a new Maple Grove strip mall, with lots of other lunch options if Ramen doesn't strike your fancy. About $13 plus tip for a bowl of soup, so I regrettably can't do it every day, but I'll definitely be back! If they had a smaller lunch portion for more like $7 or $8, I'd be a regular. read more

Good ramen, decent broth. Pork meat was good, service was good. Good if you are looking for ramen in that area

I was really excited to try this ramen restaurant as my husband and I love Moto-I in uptown. Ichiddo Ramen is closer to home for us so we were hoping to love it. The service is decent and the waiters are very friendly and attentive. Our water glasses where never half empty which I loved. We wanted to try our favorite things that we get at Moto-I so we could get a good comparison. We got the pork steamed bun and gyoza as appetizers. The steamed bun was mediocre at best. Not much flavor and sort of rubbery. We could probably make it at home. The gyoza was better but nothing to write home about. Good crunch, typical flavor. After apps, our entrees came: char sui ramen and kimchi ramen. Noodles are good, sauce is good. But probably wouldn't order again. Seemed like stir fry is the way to go here. Overall, the service is good, but the food is what you pay for. read more

Ichiddo Ramen is one of my favorite ramen restaurants in the twin cities area. I was so excited that one was opening up in Maple Grove. Their chicken and pork buns are to die for (the chicken is my favorite). We both had the shredded char siu ramen and it was delicious! They did forget our egg in both of the dishes and we didn't realize until we were done eating but we definitely will be back! read more

I was actually attempting to go see if Wahlburgers was open. I saw movement and I was like Yes! Too bad it was construction workers working when I went inSlow turn arround, "they didn't see me storming the door!". Any-who, I drove around and Ramen caught my eye. Far cry from what I was expecting(Wahburgers), but I decided to give another new place a chance. I arrived there just after lunch hours, so I couldn't gauge by diners. Presentation was cute with an authentic Asian cuisine feel. Service was speedy and very courteous. I ordered hot sake, appetizer of fried chicken thigh bits(the picture was misleading in the menu). It looked more like home chicken nuggets upon arrival and they served with mayo on the side. I'm not a real chicken nugget kind of girl, but it was ok. I would not order again. For my main, I ordered the seafood ramen. It was nice and hot, but had corn in it and I could count the pieces of seafood on one hand. I'm sure most chefs try to put there spin on things so although it would not be my choice to have corn, it added a nice crunch to the soup giving more texture. The thing I really liked about the ramen was it was not salty. If you wanted more seasoning they had spices on the table(actual spices, not just salt and pepper ). The staff checked periodically to make sure everything was ok although sometimes, maybe because it was almost empty, it felt a bit hoverish. I'd try it again. read more

Very solid Ramen for the price! Excited to go back again in Maple Grove. Got the Vegetable Ramen for my wife and Beef Ramen for myself! Beef Ramen had just the right spice, while Vegetable had little to no spice just how my wife likes it. We will be going back! read more

I've been here once before and got take out and was not let down. Second time I came here I dined in and was ever more impressed. I got the squid balls, short ribs, and #5 ramen. I highly recommend their ramen. The broth is good and noodles are cooked perfectly. It says spicy but not too spicy once you eat it. 10/10 would rate higher. read more

My daughter loved her spicy miso based ramen, my wife and I both tried her's and it was good. My wife tried the seafood fried ramen and it was awful. I tried the beef Dunbari it had a good flavor but the meat was more fat than meat. My wife mentioned going back to get what our daughter ordered but with an egg roll appetizer this was over $60 for what felt like a fast food restaurant with friendly but very inattentive service. read more

The ramen is good and the pork buns are the best they have such an amazing flavor they do a great job on making them

Delicious, but still disappointing: My order was delivered, so this may be different in the restaurant. The food was very good. Nice flavors. Fresh ingredients. Delicious! However, the portion sizes are very small. (I ordered the green tea cheesecake, salted cucumber, and crab jalapeño.) Nothing like the pics on the menu. I also ordered ramen which was great...but the ratio of noodles to other ingredients (and broth) was not worth the money. Disappointing. read more

No flavor, ramen wasn't anything special. We did take out so don't have too much to say about service. The dining room seemed full, so I guess some people like it. read more

Delicious ramen! I've tried most of the menu and haven't had a bad experience yet. Highly recommended for anyone craving ramen.

Walking in, we got a friendly welcoming vibe right away. It's not a large place, but it's comfortable. Staff was very friendly and overall service was great. I got the Crispy Chicken Ramen, plenty of flavor and just enough heat from the chili oil but wasn't overpowering. Crispy chicken get a little soggy after a bit, but still works well with the rest. My fiancé got the Kimchi Ramen. She had them sub in the crispy chicken instead of the beef it comes with, wasn't in a beef mood, and they were more than willing to accommodate. Hers was very tasty, good spice and crisp from the kimchi. Plenty of heat but again, not overpowering. Noodles in both were perfectly cooked, nice bite to them. Definitely will be back again. read more

Some of the best ramen I've ever had, I ordered at 8:45 it was ready before closing and the staff was amazing.

To start I would recommend this restaurant. I did really like the art work on the walls and menu. Has a traditional style Ramen noodle house look and feel. Very up to date inside. Nice place for a date. Staff seemed very friendly. Now as for food... I had the beef Ramon it was good I have had better but I did like it a lot. LOVED THE STEAMED BUN! As for deserts I did like the Mochi ice cream, but I kinda felt like it is a cheaper way of adding a desert to the Menu. It's being a pre made store bought desert they did add cream and improved the look. But it was store bought ice cream(which I still liked). Over all I am happy with Ichiddo Ramen. read more

We were planning on going to a different restaurant and spotted the sign of this place. Went to Ichiddo instead of our other plans and we are so glad we did! Found our new favorite ramen spot! Cold beer. Hot noodles. Love that there's a Raman place in Maple Grove. Service was also very good, very friendly and accommodating. Bowls are an odd shape, very high, and could use more broth, but honestly I split mine with toddler and had a Sapporo and it was filling, so portions are good especially for cost ($13). We will absolutely come back. read more

So... are they still on their soft launch? Not too sure if the grand opening has already passed but even if this is still in the soft launch period of time the experience was still pretty bad. My wife and I were told that it would be a ten minute wait when we first got there but the wait time was shortened when a couple simply got up and left leaving their waters and silverware. This should've been a red flag but we happily took their seats and promptly put in our order. This isn't our first time at an Ichiddo but it is our first time at this one in particular. We knew what we wanted and put in our order right away. There was a couple who sat next to us at the bar and who also put in their order shortly after us. Thirty minutes later, my wife and I as well as the other couple are still waiting for our food. We didn't order a lot, just two bowls of the Charsui Ramen. My wife made a sarcastic statement that we would get up and leave if the couple beside us got their food before we did. I chuckled before I realized just how long we've actually been waiting. When one of our two identical bowls of ramen finally came out, there was no spicy paste added as requested, and the soft boiled egg was hard boiled... as you can imagine, we were both a bit shocked by everything. Long story short, we opted to cancel the second bowl, and pay promptly for our one bowl before leaving. On a happy note, the couple beside us did get their order right after ours: a charsui bun appetizer... I'll let that sink in... If you're counting, that's almost thirty minutes for an appetizer. Go to the one in Minneapolis or Roseville... read more

A few friends and I decided to order a pick-up order. When we called in to place the order, the young lady who answered took the extra 5 seconds to confirm our order and told us that it would be ready in the next 10-15 minutes. Fast forward by 10 minutes, I walked in to pick up the order and see her walking up to the register at that exact moment with our orders in separate bags as requested. Although the restaurant was busy with other folks sitting down and a couple more waiting to pick up, they had the orders ready exactly as expected. Even more so, my friends had yet to try their food yet but judging by their immediate expressions in the first few bites, we will definitely be ordering from here again! The Gyoza were perfectly fried/steamed and the rice was evenly cooked with the rest of the ingredients and still had just enough softness to it to be delectable! read more

I really liked it! Went there for lunch. Super fast and good service. The apps were great and the ramen was wonderful. We've only ever gotten delivery from this place but it is one of our favorites. The char siu donburi is a favorite in our house.
