I went with the pork tonkotsu ramen and although it's one of the most basic dishes, I was very impressed with how this particular bowl was prepared. The staff were very friendly too and even got a chance to chat with a few of the chefs. Definitely planning to come back again in the future!

It had been YEARS since my husband and I had been to Benihana. In the past, it just never felt like…read morethe hype matched the quality, and we found other hibachi spots we liked more. But I had a birthday voucher and a gift card, so we thought, why not give it another try. And wow. I feel like I have been missing out. The experience was so much fun. Our chef was fantastic and made the whole night feel special. It honestly felt like the perfect way to celebrate turning 38. And yes, at one point I was jokingly called out as "toxic", and to be clear, that was directed at me. All in fun! We ordered the steak/shrimp combo, which came with a shrimp appetizer and white rice. Of course we upgraded to fried rice, which feels like a must. Everything was really good and the chef did not cut corners at all, which we appreciated. My only callout is the cost. Even with the coupon and a $25 gift card, we still show how spent over $110 for two meals and one drink. I was honestly shocked. Compared to other places, it is definitely more expensive. Gratuity is automatically added. That said, the service truly was fantastic, so in this case it felt deserved. Even with the higher price, I would still go back. The quality of the experience made it worth it. One tip, especially in Maple Grove, make a reservation. We went on a Thursday night and it was busy.

We had a family there that was so incredibly oblivious and made comments to the cook that he should cry like their cook in Bali did because he received a tip. They lacked so much social awareness that I had contact embarrassment for them. So awkward - with big families like that, maybe seat them alone at a table. Also it was my birthday but since I do not enjoy the singing, we asked for no singing. The woman at the table made a scene anyway. It was so obnoxious I will probably not want to experience that again. I get that rating a restaurant because of its patrons seems unfair, but this an example of a situation you might encounter when seated at a group hibachi table. If you want peaceful, avoid the hibachi and sit at a regular table. Trust me.

Though the place isn't huge, it's arranged in a way that makes it feel super spacious. I'd say the food is fairly comparable to most other AYCE sushi places in the cities. I like the fried tofu in the way they do it here and the sashimi was good too. I will say the sushi roll cuts are a bit large, so eating a piece in one bite isn't convenient, and it falls apart when trying to take only a bite.

If you're looking for a sweet style Pho, stay on the Saint Paul side you will not find that type of pho on the Minneapolis side. You will never find me ordering pho on the Saint Paul side because I do not do sweet pho. For example, there is a Pho Pasteur in St. Paul like the one in Boston but don't be fooled because that place is located in Saint Paul and it is very sweet broth there and it is nothing like the place in Boston. This is the #1 Viet restaurant for the pork chop broken rice plate. You will never find another place of this exceptional quality. That makes better marinated pork. We ordered miso soup right when we arrived and never received it, even after being there for over two hours. Each time we asked about it, we were told it was coming, but it never did. What was especially frustrating was that we were repeatedly asked if we wanted to order more, even though we hadn't received our full original order yet. Overall, the space and vibe were enjoyable, but the slow service and missing items made the experience disappointing
