Our chef was fantastic and made the whole night feel special. It honestly felt like the perfect way to celebrate turning 38. And yes, at one point I was jokingly called out as "toxic", and to be clear, that was directed at me. All in fun! We ordered the steak/shrimp combo, which came with a shrimp appetizer and white rice. Of course we upgraded to fried rice, which feels like a must. Everything was really good and the chef did not cut corners at all, which we appreciated. My only callout is the cost. Even with the coupon and a $25 gift card, we still show how spent over $110 for two meals and one drink. I was honestly shocked. Compared to other places, it is definitely more expensive. Gratuity is automatically added. That said, the service truly was fantastic, so in this case it felt deserved. Even with the higher price, I would still go back. Even my 8 year old niece said her corn needed salt. Honestly I will never go back to Benihana. It's a scam.
