Then, while waiting in line at the Rapid Rez/Fast Break booth, the lady behind me told me they gave her the wrong car and she had to return to the Rapid Rez booth to have the car reassigned to her. Turns out the same thing happened to me because the lady in the booth sent me to the wrong car. I didn't know it until I was not able to exit the lot. Three cars behind me had to back up so I could return to Rapid Rez booth to stand in the blustery cold again and get the car reassigned to me. When I tried to exit for the second time, the man at the gate told me this car was not assigned to me either. I refused to go back to the Rapid Rez booth, so he personally ran back and corrected the issue. Turns out my Rapid Res rental took over 1 /12 hours! I have been a Rapid Rez member since 2013-- This is totally unacceptable! I rented from this Budget lot one year ago and had no problems so it appears someone needs to be retrained and management needs to pay attention....

Tyler at the reception desk was so welcoming and helpful. The selection of cars was also so much better than at Hertz. The process is also better streamlined; they advice you to check the car and recommend that you do a video. Very helpful as amount of debris I see flying off trucks and trailers or just sitting on the roads is ridiculous.

Our experience with Fox Rent A Car was extremely disappointing from start to finish…read more At pickup, the salesman was very pushy with upselling -- pushing vehicle upgrades, prepaid fuel, and toll coverage. He told me the toll charge was $13, but failed to clearly explain that it was $13 per day, which felt very misleading. What made it worse was that I was asked to initial everything on a digital screen without being shown a clear breakdown of charges. After receiving the printed contract and reviewing it, I was honestly disgusted by how much I had been upsold. The vehicle we rented -- a Nissan Pathfinder -- was substandard and very dirty inside and out. While the car functioned fine for our four-day weekend and got us where we needed to go, the cleanliness and overall condition were unacceptable. Return was smooth, but once again there was an attempt to upsell -- this time offering a $20 charge to take our rental back to the airport. We declined. The shuttle service itself was decent, but the wait time from the airport to the rental facility was extremely long and overcrowded. They eventually had to call for additional buses. Overall, we were very disappointed with the entire experience and will not be using Fox Rentals again.

Longer lines, tension between the written word and the action, and a car that was possibly the worst performing car I've driven. The shuttle picked us up quickly, which was great! The driver was nice and helpful. Then, more than 30 minutes waiting, even after doing the online checkin. They needed to verify documents, so there is no benefit to the online checkin, you're in the same line as everyone. Was told I'd be charged a $200 deposit, no problem. Then, they charged a $250 deposit. That would have been ok, I just like to have words and action to match. The car was a standard SUV. The car was such a gutless gas-guzzling SUV. Returning the car was odd. I pulled up and into the line of cars. After 10 minutes, I began to go inside and a worker motioned for me to move the car over to the line next to the one I parked. I moved, he was gone. I just walked around the car and filmed its condition, took pictures of the clean interior, and the full gas level. I went to the bus. So very strange. And, the shuttle driver was great, a nice guy that was very helpful to everyone. The drivers earned the two stars.

Luckily, I was able to quickly reserve another vehicle on the Avis app before I even reached the rental shop. We got the car within 5 mins of handing over my license and were out of the lot within 10 mins. The car was brand new, clean, and reliable. We were able to enjoy the weekend by visiting surrounding areas. After hour drop offs were very convenient and allowed us to avoid looking for parking while staying in CBD. This is where I will be renting cars going forward when I am in Denver.

After some digging I figured it out just fine though! They abide by state laws, while also not being too terribly greedy. I walked over after a bad experience with the competition next door, and was surprised at how easy it was for a walk in / same day rental! I ended up saving money in the long run with them too. The electronic pad for signing didn't work so I guess I didn't need to really sign for anything. The most important point to ponder is: the car. The car, with all its 52K miles, is like new on the inside, well maintained, and clean, clean, clean. Because of this I jumped from two to three stars. The rates are a bit much, but the car is impressively good. Friendly staff, just not enough of them.

She said they can't guarantee AWD- even if they have a listing for such that you paid extra for (dont list as an option if you don't actually have). So she swapped us to another vehicle and said she'd comp the gas. When I returned the vehicle- they charged me for gas. So I waited in line again, and had to re-explain to another agent why I was given the discount. So double-check your statement for misleading billing.

The rental itself was fine and I returned the car on time with no issues. Two weeks later I got an email from Sixt's claims department alleging I caused several scratches and demanding $1,717.68 based on a "virtual appraisal." The photos they sent show many light scratches on the same panels, but they simply outlined a few and tried to assign only those to me. I did not hit anything, did not see this "new" damage. I've formally disputed the charge and reported the situation to consumer-protection agencies. My advice: avoid Sixt, and if you rent from someone else, do a full video walk-around at pick-up and return, including close-ups of every panel, and insist on a live inspection with a staff member before you leave the lot. No traveler should be put through a four-figure damage claim for scratches they did not cause. In August of 2025, a major class action lawsuit against Sixt, regarding unauthorized charges for vehicle damage, was settled for $11.07 million.
