I absolutely love the cause and the added boost they give to the community! The salads are super yummy and very generous portion size (I recommend adding rosemary chicken). The burgers however are a bit small and could use more sauce. I also wish you didn't have to order fries separately but they are so delicious that I still cave most of the time and add them on anyways! read more

Haven't had a bad time here ever......Love the burgers and the cucumber chillers !!! Being a volunteer for the Special Olympics, I especially love this place for there generous donations to our organization and other organizations in our community. I got horrible food poisoning from either the veggie burger or the ceasar salad. Within 30 minutes the food felt like a rock in my stomach, and within an hour I was sick to my stomach. I won't go into further detail, but it was one of the worst bouts of food poisoning I have ever experienced. I'm sure the food is typically good, but beware. read more

Had the Kyle's Classic burger with fries and it was great for a very affordable price! I ordered in and the service was friendly and quick. This is such a good alternative to their Isla Vista predecessor. read more

Just had the earth burger and the fire fries! I am a fan! I am very picky with my veggie burgers and this one did not disappoint. Their patty was tasty and did not taste like meat substitute. The avocado and other veggie filing were fresh. Loved the fire fires. The cheese could have been a been a little more melted and the jalapaneos would have had more flavor if they were cooked. Other than that, everything was delicious! I love the concept of this restaurant! I think it has a great cause and great intention. We can't wait to come back again! read more

Fun fact: they are the sister store of Silvergreens Working across the street from this location I just had to try it out. They don't do orders over the phone so I had to place an order online. Their online menu is just outstanding. It's simple and lets you go beyond your wildest dreams when it comes to creativity towards your order. My go-to order would definitely have to be the eggs and bacon hamburger. I haven't had egg in my burger in a long time and last I remembered it was delicious so I just had to try theirs. It turned out delicious but 0/2 times the egg yolk was never runny and that is usually a request of mine I place. With that being said, everything about this place is perfect. The customer service is exactly what it needs to be and their fries are exceptionally good. It's different from most places that serve fries. It comes out to around $10 for a meal which is usually what I get. Burger + fries + soda. I definitely recommend trying this place out once and seeing if you want to be a regular here or not. I would if I could afford it everyday but other than that it is a delicious hamburger spot. read more

I love this place! The ingredients are all so fresh and the tomato tasted like it just came out of the garden. Ask for the jalapeno ranch its so good and a nice kick at the end. Employees are excellent here also. Very friendly and helpful. read more

Kyle's Kitchen - Salad Near Me - Goleta, California

Very good food, burgers, sandwiches, malts, fries and salads included, (an especially delicious ahi salad) with cheerful and timely service.

Consistency is seriously a huge struggle here. I used to come here 2-3x a week just because it was so convenient and close to home and work. Size wise of the burgers, i'd definitely double up on protein if you want to feel full + get some gains unless you're on a "diet" or barely eat anything. I used to be addicted to all of the chicken burgers! However, over time, I became more disappointed each time I came back. For the price tag, it stopped being worth it. Sometimes the burger and/or bun would be super burned and tasted like pure smoke, or there would be barely any lettuce, too much mayo, limpy tomatoes, sloppily made burger, etc. I used to also love the kale & cranberry salad (of course usually added chicken), but it was pretty small in a to-go size. The dressing started being more watered down. Or I would go for the quinoa salad to try to be healthy. The last time I ordered it however, I almost had instant gag reflex. I'm not sure what caused it, maybe due to not fresh or expired ingredients. The first time I had the earth burger, it was amazing and delectable. The second time, it was the saltiest piece of mush that I have ever had, and was purely disgusted. What REALLY killed it for me for a long time with this place was the last time I ordered one of my typical chicken burgers. The chicken was extremely rubbery, sketch, and inedible. Sad part was that I doubled up on it. I couldn't even finish it and had to throw it away because it was that terrible, disgusting, and inedible. Honestly, I'm pretty traumatized because I LOVE chicken but this was ridiculously sketchy and disappointing for $6-7... All of these combined negative experiences recently have made me avoid this place. And I probably will now for a long long time. And definitely avoid typical lunch rush hours (12-1) or after the kids get out of school hours unless you don't mind waiting a long time for your food! The parking lot is also a nightmare at these times. read more

What a gem! The motive behind this local establishment is so very touching and the food and service are top notch! The tomato soup and burger are amazing-can't wait to go back! read more

Their "Makin' Blue Bacon" burger should be illegal, it's just too good! My husband and I both deemed this wonderful burger to be our favourite. Dare I say, the Making' Blue Bacon rivals that of Hawkin's House of Burger! If you've ever been to THAT part of LA and had to pleasure of indulging at Hawkin's, this compliment is the highest of rank. My most ordered item, however, is their Kyle's Kobb. This is your classic Cobb salad, made perfectly and everything always tastes fresh. Their vignarette is actual vignarette and I thank God for Kyle's Kitchen. We hope so desperately that Kyle's Kitchen will uphold their current standards and quality. I'm not too crazy about their pay-it-forward philosophy, since I caught a glimpse of ol' Bernie here and there. Lush completely overdid their demograhically-appointed-political crowd funding. KK would not want to become how overzealous Lush is with their campaigns. read more

Over all good. Service was nice. The staff seemed constantly on the go. You can tell the owners care a lot about customer service. And that's awesome. My hubby liked his burger and the pig fries (I think that's what they are called) were yummy. I got a cob salad. It was okay. The only thing I didn't like was the chicken was cold. But I didn't ask for it warm so not really their fault. Food took a while to get to us. Around 20 minutes. Which isn't horrible but we thought it was a bit much for a salad and burger. I'd go again. read more

Really 2.5 stars but I like their pro-social philosophy. I think the place is a bit overrated (and look! I just did that in my first sentence; I guess that helping others slant has its appeal). The tight rein on portion control here is apparent, and for the price to value ratio, it's just shy of being a good value in the fast casual category. The full kicken' cowboy salad I got on a recent visit contained way too many large romaine ribs and few of the darker green pieces of lettuce, giving the salad a cheap lack of appeal. I had to pick through and leave those big tough and chewy pieces of lettuce on the plate. The portions of the other ingredients was inadequate so it just wasn't very satisfying. I had gotten the same salad once before and it was better that time. Ha - I just went to their website to look up the name of the salad, "kickin' cowboy" - and I realize the menu says it comes with a roll. Have never been offered or gotten that roll on either of the above-mentioned salad orders. The chicken sandwich I got most recently was really stingy in the protein portion, making for a dry and thin layer of chicken. But they were generous with a big knife-sliced slab of iceberg lettuce, throwing the ratio way off and making it more like an iceberg lettuce burger garnished with a chicken topping. I suppose I could have removed the overage of leafage, but that would have required me to bust apart the slab and I wasn't feeling that ambitious, I guess. It also goes to show that the prep approach is to cut the iceberg rather than separate the leaves by hand. Belies overzealous and clunky knifework in the kitchen. My husband's ahi sandwich looked promising, but opening it to reveal the piece of fish inside showed an almost comically small piece of fish. All big bun and this perfect little mini portion of fish on the inside. Most nerve-wracking is the endless scroll of twitter/instagram/facebook on a large screen tv monitor at the center of the place, inviting you social network by posting a pic or tweeting a tweet, or whatever. It gives the place a frantic we're-marketing-in-real-time-on-social-networking-and-you-can-help-be-part-of-the-frenzy!! feel that is the antithesis of a relaxing place to eat. read more

I've long heard that this was the place to get a great burger in Santa Barbara. But I was thoroughly unimpressed, and actually disappointed that it didn't live up to the hype. I ordered the Makin Blue Bacon (beef patty, bacon, bleu cheese, garlic aioli) with an order of fries and Cucumber Mint Lemonade. The patty was tiny. It felt like I was eating only bread, lettuce and tomato in half of the bites. The meat itself was overcooked. The bleu cheese wasn't memorable, just sharp. The fries weren't crispy, and tasted like they'd been frozen 20 minutes prior--just not good. And the cucumber lemonade was bitter, had far too much mint, and was only refreshing because it was served with ice on a warm day. I just can't give this place a recommendation. read more

Easily one of the best burgers that I've had in years. Kyle's Kitchen's "The Mountainclimber" is the right combination of spicy and spice. The beef is cooked just right and the condiments are complementary to the full taste. I'm just an all-around fan. Check this place out! read more

The size of the burgers are tiny. Based on some of the reviewers, we order 2 Klassic Kyle burgers for each person and still it was not filling at all. Burgers are overpriced for what you get. read more

This place has super friendly staff and the food is really fresh and tasty. It's awesome that Kyle and family are often present. Great for burgers and salads. Their ahi tuna salads is one of my favorites. They have a great asian sesame dressing and plenty of tuna. The salad also comes with a really good garlic roll. They also have a great selection of fries that are topped with bacon and peppers. Their fresh lemonades are the best and they come in a variety of different flavors. The cucumber mint one had a little too much cucumber for me but their berry one was delicious and I definitely crave it on a hot day. read more

A great spot! I had the large peanut salad, very crispy and light dressing (I have had similar dishes elsewhere DRENCHED in dressing). DH had a small cobb but said it had plenty of bacon so was filling. Grandma had the potato-cheddar soup, which she reported was tasty. Good looking kids' menu, we'll def. bring the kids on a future visit. Only nit to pick was that Grandma requested butter for the roll that comes with almost all the meals... and the server returned to report "We don't have any butter." Not sure if this means they just don't carry butter or they were out... but it seems odd to not serve butter with dinner rolls. Well, it didn't ruin the meal! Looking forward to trying new items next visit. read more

It was fine but really that was it. Service was ok, clean place. Food was good. Of the 3 of us 1 really liked it and eats there regularly. For 2 of us we thought it was adequate but nothing that would make us want to go again. I know my niece and her 2 young sons love it especially the ice cream. I guess I would give it another chance and maybe I will like it more but only if I were in the area again. read more

Good food. Good price. Great service. If you are in the mood for a good burger, try it. Worth the calories.

I have been a customer since they opened. Today, I ordered a classic Kyle's burger (super well done, no pink) and super crispy fries. After waiting 40 min while it was prepared to go, the burger was pink on the inside and the fries were floppy/greasy. Really terrible food today. Also, the girl working at the counter, and putting all the food together had her mask beneath her nose. I love Kyles, but sorry to say this was not a good experience. read more

Had club sandwich, klasic Kyle, Ahí salad and fire fries. Had the pleasure to meet kyle, he helped us find a seat and hung out with us while we waited for our food. We really enjoyed meeting him and talking about our dogs. It was very fresh, and quickly prepared. The salad was fresh and perfectly made. I loved the fire fries, however it was a bit too hot for my daughter and husband. I would for sure have again. My husband loved the berger. Forgot to mention the roll that came with the salad...AMAZING! I don't know if you can order a side of them, but if they offer it...do it! So soft and seasoned very well. Wish this was a chain. read more

Good egg and bacon burger. Good ingredients in the quinoa and arugula salad but I wish the dressing had more kick. Fries were decent and the kids devoured their grilled cheese sandos strawberries and milk shakes. It's a well run establishment. We will be back next time we stay in SB. read more

Went for a quick salad. Got the spicy salad with jalapeños. Chicken was really flavorful. Fries weren't that great. I would definitely pass on them the next time. Didn't try the burger. Went on a cold day and they had both doors open and their seats are metal so it was freezing and very uncomfortable. Wouldn't go on a cold day again. read more

Get the Kale and Cranberry Salad. It sold me at first bite! - The salad is generously but not overwhelmingly coated in vinaigrette. - The crushed croutons and pumpkin seeds gave a nice texture. - The cranberries adds a sweet note to the savory dish. - I also added the grilled herb chicken for $3 (large size); it was okay. - Comes with garlic herb roll (Silvergreens' honey wheat roll is better!) Since trying this, I've been religiously searching for a kale salad that can match up. There's some strong contenders out there, but I'm longing for the day I return to this. My friend got the combo for $9: Kickin' Cowboy salad and Ahi in My Body Burger. - The salad portion was small, but the fried onion strings and the spicy flair in the dressing was on point. - The ahi was unfortunately over cooked. If it was just nicely seared, the burger would've been a good choice. The wasabi aioli was delicious! There's a few more things on the menu I'd like to try, so I'll be back. And for $5-10 per dish, the prices are really generous! The people who worked there was awesome too! read more

This is a fun place for all ages, great burgers, clean and simple. The servers have always been polite and helpful. I have taken my sweety, my friends, clients and family here. The price is a dollar more than one would expect for burgers and fries, but some of the proceeds are for good causes. They raise money for charities. So if you want to feel guilty for eating a burger, fries and a shake, while simultaneously feel good about helping your community, by all means check out this little burger joint. I would give this place 3 stars simply because it's a burger joint but the friendly service is great and the karma alone pulls this place out of the fast food status. read more
