This is a great family place with great basic burger and salad fare and great milk shakes. Burgers come on freshly baked on the premises brioche buns. Burgers start at $5 with a $1 additional charge for the fancier burgers (like my "Cheesy Pig," with cheese and bacon, which was $6). The ice cream sandwich came in a huge freshly baked chocolate chip cookie and my "Fat Guerilla" (peanut butter/chocolate milk shake) was fabulous, with a generous mound of real whipped cream. Service is efficient and friendly and we felt like old time friends in no time. Dogs on leash are welcome in the outdoors eating area. Kyle is a special needs kid in about the 5th grade and loves meeting folks, so is there to hand out menus. This place was created with his favorite foods in mind and his special favorites (like the egg and bacon burger) are marked "KF." The chalkboard wall is great to keep little kids occupied. Kyle's kitchen is fresh food, fast. My absolute favorite here is their Seared Ahi Tuna Salad. Crisp greens, perfectly ripe avocado, just the right amount of wonton strips and mandarin oranges topped with a tasty sesame-ginger dressing. I'm usually not a salad person, but this salad can convert anyone! It also comes with a side of their delicious fresh baked garlic roll. As if that salad (or anything on their menu actually) isn't enough of a reason to come here, Kyle's Kitchen donates a portion of their profits to different organizations in the community each month. We spotted this place through Yelp, and we are so glad we did. The burgers were very very good. Good like Five Guys, good like The Habit. They have some really great options, too. Hubby did a burger, and I did the chicken sandwich. The chicken breast was a really good, hearty size. And you can't beat the price for the burgers. I usually do Carl's Jr. chicken sandwich, but I would replace that with Kyle's any day. The fries were very tasty, and we had come late enough in the evening that they gave us free cookies that they didn't use that day. They serve ice cream sandwiches, so we made some at home with them after, and that dessert sure hit the spot. A large part of why we like this place is because they are community minded. Along the walls is their passion for donating to local charities who assist people with disabilities. Their commitment is strong, considering they give thousands of dollars every month. The young people who work there are also well versed in speaking about this aspect of their workplace, which tells us that they are a part of spreading the message and the mission too. This place was fantastic! I visited this place while in Santa Barbara for my niece's graduation. When you enter this place is inviting and clean. The staff is friendly and professional. The service was prompt too! I ordered the Cheesy Pig which consisted of a burger, with cheese, bacon and mayo, tomato and lettuce. It was fresh and juicy! Man I really love this place. Their burgers are simply amazing. Lots of different flavor profiles to choose from, although I always find myself going for a bacon and onion combination. Fresh, tasty food, and it won't break the bank. 10$ for a burger with fries and drink? I'm down. I also think they've listened to their reviews and feedback because I used to think the burgers were a little small, but I got one today and it seemed much bigger than my previous experiences. This is my first time eating at this restaurant. I ordered the original quarter Kyle, if I remember correctly. And then I also ordered the fire fries. The fire fries are the regular housemaid french fries, topped with shredded cheese, sliced jalapeños, and fried onions on top. If I could be very honest The fries were an absolute disappointment. The fries were soggy, and they didn't melt the cheese for these fries on top. The fresh jalapeño slices had no spice to them, and the fried onions that were on top, seemed like they had been sitting out for a while because those also felt soggy. Normally, fried onions are supposed to have a nice crisp to them. Unfortunately, these did not. I even added salt And some of their jalapeño ranch. Didn't help too much. I would rate the french fries a two/five. I would recommend a larger cut of the french fries, the cheese to be melted on top, and for the fried onions to be crispier. The burger, was all right. The meat for the burger I personally believe should've been seasoned a little bit more, as I felt that the burger had no flavor. But what I did enjoy about the burger is that it did have that nice chard, backyard grill flavor that really complemented the burger itself, but overall, I personally felt that the burger was lacking a lot of seasoning, and some flavor. I would rate the burger a three out of five. Overall my experience, I would rates a three out of five. Kyle's Kitchen is simply delicious! It's got a gourmet burger taste with half the price. I've heard a lot about it from friends and finally decided to make a quick stop. I was only going to order a burger and fries but was swayed by the menu. Let's start with the atmosphere, it's so fun! Very relaxed and unique in its own way. There's a HUGE chalk wall with chalk provided so your kids can play around and draw while you finish up your delicious meal. There's plenty of seating as well as if you want to enjoy the beautiful santa barbara weather outside on the patio. The service was great, everyone was really friendly and FAST! We got our order in quickly despite a growing line and received our food in less than 10 minutes while it was still super warm. What we ordered: The cheesy pig, it had bacon and cheese with garlic aioli and the works. The garlic aioli was AMAZING, I love me some aioli and garlic was great. The bun kind of overcompensates the meat but the meat is so deliciously prepared and feels homemade that it didn't really matter. ($5) - The jalapeno burger with jalapeno ranch burger was called the mountain climber and it was even tastier! So many flavors including the pepperjack cheese and onion strings made my mouth drool. I only had a bite of this burger and was left craving for more. ($5) - Fire fries was pretty good but would rather order the regular fries. These came with jalapenos (can you tell that we like our food with a kick?) melted cheese? (very little), and a little bit of onion strings. My friend really enjoyed the onion strings, while I loved the fries. The reason why I would just order regular fries next time is because these fries are the softer, stringy kind and I'm not a huge fan of those so I wouldn't pay the extra buck to make them special, but a girl still needs her fries ahha ($4) - Lastly, we had the fat guriella milkshake (skinny substitute where ice cream is replaced by fat free yogurt). So it was the skinny fat guriella milkshake, haha a little bit contradictory if you ask me. Oh but this was SO divine. It had peanut butter and chocolate and was one of the best milkshakes I've had in a long time. Definitely try this because it is totally worth it. ($4) Kyle's kitchen donates a portion of their proceeds to the local individual's with special education and that's very dear to my heart. We had the axxess card where you buy one get one free and then 10% off meals after. What a great place! My Farmhouse salad with jalapeño ranch (that was actually spicy ) was delicious and perfect. I got the pick two meal and expected the salad to be much smaller than it was which was a big plus. I also had the chicken tortilla soup which was very good as well. To drink I had the strawberry lemonade and it was sooo good. I thought $3 was a little steep but after drinking it, it was well worth it. Fresh squeezed and fresh strawberries as well. Delicious! Others at the table had burgers and said they were good as well. I love what they do with their donations and philosophy,message and philanthropy. We have been frequent customers for a long time & have enjoyed their good food & friendly staff. We are now doing take out because of Covid & it was easy, safe & fast. It feels good to dine in a place that cares about & helps others. The chalkboard tells the story with names & dollars given to a variety of non profits who serve those disabled or challenged. That was not a great sign, but the reviews looked great. The items on the menu was great as it has options for healthy dishes and the prices were reasonably affordable. From the menu, we ordered the tomato basil soup, quinoa salad, blue cheese burger, and seared ahi tuna salad. We all enjoyed our dishes, but the quinoa was lacking in taste. The service was quick and courteous. The food was pretty good and the portions aren't too bad and very filling. If you come with another person you'll be safe ordering just one side of fries. I had the Mountain Climber, which was pretty good except the fact that the lettuce was a huge blob. I had to take it out and eat it as a side. The stinky pig fries were really good, but I think if given the choice I'd probably order a side of guac on top if it's possible. It's a bit too dry and I'm not a fan of ranch since it overpowers the other flavors. I arrived and asked about online pickups; I gave the guy at the front register my name and he says, "We'll call you when it's ready" Call me when it's ready!? It should've been ready 10 minutes ago. 2 minutes later another lady asks my name and goes and gets my burger (already cooked); takes her sweet time to get me some fries and I finally get my food. She apologized for the wait but what urked me the most was the first guy who seemed indifferent that people might actually want their food fresh and hot. Maybe I was keeping him from his smartphone... I dunno. I walk back to my car eating my freshly made fries.... "Mmmm, these are good", things are improving. I sit down and unwrap my now lukewarm burger and take a bite... Hey, it's pretty doggone good considering it's not as fresh as it could be. I ordered the Mountain Climber (without the lettuce, as another reviewer suggested) and wolfed it down. This is as good as any burger I've had that has cost twice as much. I might have to double up on the meat and cheese next time because it didn't last long. Fries portions are easily enough for 2 people. I give this place 4 stars here; though realistically it was a 3.5. I think the key take-away is don't order online during dinner hours. But I definitely want to come back. Any part of this place alone would be enough to deserve five stars. They make their buns here daily and I would eat those by the bucketful if I had the stomach for it. All of their portions are decent sized and their milkshakes and fries are great. The kids' menu is fairly basic but very customizable and the service here is super fast and friendly. The price point is great, too--a burger, fries and a soda are 9 dollars for much higher quality than fast food. There's a big chalkboard for little ones to write on and a really open vibe to the restaurant. Not to mention the fact that the cause for this makes my heart sing. I highly recommend this place.
